I like the swimming area

Very Comfortable bed. Cleanliness met my high standard as a nurse. Towels nice and thick. Coffee maker made better coffee than what was offered at breakfast. Pet fee was reasonable at $50. But still don’t believe any extra cleaning is done despite an additional charge- at any hotel. Microwave and small fridge. NO freezer compartment if you need to freeze freezer bags for a cooler. The temp control in room was excellent- cooler / heater very quiet. Overall I’d stay here again. Not luxury or even 4 stars. Older hotel but good value.

Beautiful hotel great staff even keep the pool open for us longer cause we got in late , everyone that works there is lovely rooms are super nice

The bad stuff: This hotel is a bit older and it shows. Cleanliness was not at a 4 or 5 star level. Our hotel room door would not latch/lock, so we had to request to move to a different room. The next room had a strong smell of marijuana. Other occupants were very noisy in the hallways: shouting and slamming their doors. The good stuff: This location was convenient to the University of Alabama campus. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast and snack options were varied and appreciated. This hotel is dog friendly so travelers can bring their pets.

There was constant leak from underneath of the tiles coming out of the elevator. Very limited food for breakfast. No night stands on the outer side of the beds🙃, either no shelf to put things down: like phone or water.

They still seem to be under construction, almost a year later

The hotel is under renovations but is still very well maintained. It was great for a one night stay.

No window views and window had a cover on most of it. But there was a scrap yard behind the building. Otherwise everything else was good. Pool was closed during our stay so nothing to say about it.

They don’t allow pets over 25 lbs. please make that more noticeable on the site. Had it been a big game weekend I would have probably had to drive to Birmingham for a room.

It was bugs and the linen was nasty

My husband thought he dropped something behind the bed. He pulled the mattress away from the wall to be stunned to find black mold . I'm not talking about a little. It was at least 3 feet long and a foot wide. I took 3 pictures of it. I Went to the check in desk, requested a manager, showed her the pictures & requested a full refund including the fee for my dog. It was disgusting.

The room was dirty, even the sheets and blanket. I asked the front desk girl for a change of sheets and a blanket. She told me they charge $25 for extra blankets. She did give me 1 for free. However, they sheets that she gave me, for me to change the bed, was tooo small

Hotel was very clean and nice. Super quite area which was also nice.

The staff was amazing and friendly, everything was very clean and fresh. I love that there was no carpet in the room.

Multiple Long hairs in the bath tub and floor.

The entire first floor smelled like dog urine.

Had hot breakfast avail included in the rate which was very fair . The rooms are large and spacious I stayed at this same wingate a cpl of years ago also snd didn’t even realize when i made this reservation that it was the same one as this was a round trip and on the the way down stated at a Marriott that’s not too far away but it’s a good 1/2 way stop For the same trip I’ve done before . Easy access to location. Great tv size and etc . I’d stay here again next time thru. Thanks management .

The room we where assigned had been broken into and the door didn’t lock.

Rooms need to be remodeled. Bathrooms especially.

The property was nice. My room was very spacious. The property was only 13 minutes from my daughters new apartment in town so that was very convenient. Areas that could improve are, my bathroom door was very hard to close. The breakfast was bland and the front desk staff weren't very friendly. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Well the AC unit rattled all night. Had to download a white noise app to drown out the rattling. There was only one nightstand for the two of us. In the sitting area, there was only one chair. It is asif the room was designed for a single person instead of a couple.

Room was quite large for a standard room.

The closet door was broken, which made it difficult to use.

Phone didn’t work, tv would turn on and couldn’t change stations, just not a good stay, pretty sure I spent too much on the room, wouldn’t do it again or recommend

Dresser drawers won’t stay shut

The manager was super nice and helped us out in a mix up! Very accommodating. I very much appreciated how helpful she was and just how nice she was about everything

The front desk clerk was very rude, didn’t greet us, no smile. I have a neurological condition that affects my vocal cords, it’s hard for me to speak clearly. I was trying to explain this to her and she rolled her eyes! I had my 3 grandchildren with me, the oldest is 18, even she noticed the attitude. Went to our room, met up with family, came back to the hotel, kids are in bed and the TV doesn’t work! I went back downstairs to report it because the phone in the room wouldn’t work. So no TV, no phone. When I approach the same young lady, no greeting and she wouldn’t even look at my, by this time of night my voice is so bad you can’t understand me, I signaled the best I could for a pen and paper and she rolled her eyes AGAIN! After scribbling about the TV, I was informed that I would need to wait for her replacement to come in because, “I’m not dealing with you” I said to her she should be nicer, went back to my room and waited for her replacement. Ethan was the over night clerk and he was wonderful, very patient with my disability and so kind! He is a definite asset to the company! He made sure the TV was fixed the very next morning and our second night was great! The buffet is eh, we didn’t eat it again after we tried it. Eggs were watery, sausage was gray. And not way to microwave because they’re using foam bowls. The hotel wasn’t very clean. Bathroom was clean but the tub is chipped up. Water pressure was good. Can’t give more than two stars and they’re for Ethan.

Easy check in and friendly staff

The morning staff lady was unprofessional. Not only was she training someone who did not know what he was doing but then he delayed my departure. On top of that they distracted me from the free “breakfast” and when i went back inside to ask for it the lady told me that i was “lucky” she had any left when it was clear all she was doing was putting snacks from the kitchenette in a [paper bag and calling it “breakfast” If she had done a better job of checking me out then i wold have gotten it without even having to ask.

We had our do not disturb sign on the door, however housekeeping still entered the room.

Absolutely terrible experience. Booked thru hotels.com. I arrived to check in with my confirmation number. They did not honor my confirmation thru hotels.com. Charged me additional $100 over what was advertised for a room that shouldn’t be over $100 anyway. I understand price increases for events. Went to the Alabama Mizzou football game and homecoming weekend so I expect the price to be inflated but to not honor my confirmation was ridiculous because I was already paying over $300 for a room that wasn’t worth that. I received email from Paula Sledge who is the general manager the day before confirming my reservation and when I showed up the would not honor it. They do shady business because I believed they used hotels.com for advertising to entice customers but trap you when you get there and up charge you. I will no longer use hotels.com service or stay at a Wyndham hotel again after this experience

It was close to my purpose for being in town.

Went for my son’s graduation. Place was convenient to the school and the free breakfast was good.

This is a no frills property that backs up to an auto repair facility which very unsightly. The room was clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was good with a decent selection of both hot and cold items. Overall , it’s a good value for the price.

We really liked the location and proximity to everything. Rooms were clean and a very accessible hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. .

My stay was very nice and comfortable. The staff was very nice and polite. The only problem was that the complimentary breakfast wasnt as advertised. The served microwavable breakfast sandwishes etc. Overall i would give it an A-

The room was clean, but the bathroom door didn’t shut all the way and the towels rack was falling off the wall. The grab and go breakfast was not very nice at all.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant stay. I do wish the room got a bit colder at night it was comfortable but not as cool as I prefer for sleeping. The bed sheets were a bit stiff, and instead of standard-size pillows, they provided several small ones, which wasn’t ideal for me. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection: waffles, bacon, eggs, and sausage. However, the coffee and juice were disappointing both tasted watered down. Despite those minor issues, I’d definitely stay here again when passing through Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The location is convenient with a gas station right across the street and several fast food options nearby.

Hotel room was fine, nothing special but good for the price. Complaint - breakfast was terrible and basically not edible! Hot sauce in packets was so old it was yellow instead of red. Sausage was gray. Juice machine broken. Coffee machine made brown water. We had to go across the street to Waffle House the next morning.

Stay was supposed to include breakfast. The so-called breakfast consisted of coffee and a package of instant oat meal - nothing else. This is deceptive advertising. The facilities were clean but I don't appreciate being lied to about breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, responsive to needs. No hot breakfast because of remodeling. Hotel has not updated their listing to mention this, and they did not have enough “grab and go” breakfasts “behind the desk” to serve all the guests. Clean rooms, clean linens, helpful staff.

Stay was nice. Check in was fast and easy. The bed was comfortable. We only stayed 1 night. The ac was loud & cut on & off all night. We are not used to that so it woke us up every time. The only food out for breakfast was oatmeal packets & coffee. If you want anything else you have to wait at the front desk & ask for it. Bathroom could be cleaned a little better. Overall it was good. We have stayed in ALOT worse.
