Be careful if you’re even a little late checking out at this hotel. My phone died overnight because I forgot to charge it, and the phone in the room wasn’t working either. Around 12 PM, the front desk manager came to the room extremely upset, telling us we needed to leave immediately because housekeeping had to do their job and that we would be charged a late checkout fee. We only needed about 15 more minutes to get ready. When we finally came downstairs (the elevator wasn’t working), I asked for my receipt. Another employee was politely trying to help me, but the manager became angry and started aggressively telling her what to do. I simply asked, “Why are you so mad?” and that made the situation even worse. She started yelling, arguing with us, and wouldn’t let me explain why we were late. Instead, she threatened to call the police and told us to leave immediately. I understand hotel policies and late checkout fees, but there is no reason to treat guests with that level of disrespect. Just be careful if you stay here and make sure you are not late checking out, because the front desk manager’s attitude can quickly turn a small issue into a very uncomfortable experience.
