The attraction of Peppers Craigieburn is the historic late 1890s homestead set amongst wonderful gardens and the green rolling slopes of the surrounding golf course. On arrival we wandered amongst wonderful bell shaped Enkianthus, candel larkspurs, lupine, roses starting to pop their heads out, blackbirds jumping amongst the hellebores. Probably as a result of not booking our room through our member’s All Accor website combined with our request for a ground floor room (there is no lift to service the upstairs balcony rooms in the old section of the hotel), we were allocated to a room in the ‘new’ section on the ground floor. Pros include the historic home with common rooms full of comfy country lounge chairs and fireplaces and well kept gardens (a real wedding venue), the quiet off road country setting, above average hot and cold buffet breakfast ($28 pp) and efficient friendly staff - our TV was stuck on HDMI not TV - the staff immediately fixed it. Cons - the tiny room (#57) where the bathroom floor area was smaller than that of the shower and the air conditioner even though it was turned off, seem to emit a hum during the night. Also, at check in staff failed to mention that our room could be accessed from the side carpark which is a level entry access, so we hauled our heavy bags up the front set of stairs past reception to our room. Must book an upstairs balcony room next time and ask for assistance with the bags. Would stay here again.

We are fortunate to find Peppers Craigieburn because the hotel is pet-friendly. So, our beloved dog Hachi can travel to Bowral with us. The hotel is a heritage building that has beautifully preserved its old-world charm. It has a vast and well-manicured garden for us to take a pleasant walk. Centennial Vineyards and Bowral shops are within 10-minute drive. The hotel room is clean. Staff is helpful. Overall we had a very nice experience at Peppers Craigieburn. Will definitely come back!

Bathroom and shower had mould that clearly missed multiple inspections or adequate regular cleaning. Hotel is tired and needs a renovation. Carpets in room were stained and filthy. Overpriced. Staff asked for an email on checkout, but hotel failed to reply. checkin was below average. Would rather not stay on Bowral than stay here.

Amazing grounds but the hotel is rundown. Room was extremely dusty and full of cobwebs. Toilet seat was loose but we were unable to fix so notified staff upon check out. Love sitting by the fire places but not all were on.

We loved our stay. It was the perfect escape from busy city life. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff incredibly friendly, and my favourite part was the fireplaces in the lobby and common areas, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a good book.

I didn’t have a pet. Room only had a double bed on wheels on a timber floor so it was a little difficult for older people to get into bed without the bed rolling. Our bathroom needed a bit of plumbing renovation also, as shower was dripping and we felt like we were being tortured and the room position wasn’t great either on staff entrance. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to our stay.

We had a great stay. My only criticism is that our petite room we booked had no indication anywhere that there was a terrace used by all guests on the back of the rooms. We didn’t even know we’d have access to this at all. It was very loud early in the morning with other guests not respecting others letting their children run up and down, screaming and adults talking loud and dragging chairs. It was incredibly noisy. If you had some signs on the terrace and info in the booking section and advised everyone at check in, this would help everyone respect others and followed by all guests. Even paying an extra $200 for the balcony room thinking it’s private, only to find out upon check in that it’s shared anyway as was the petite room. These finer details upon booking would make a big difference on room choices or prepare for lack of sleep in the morning.

This is a beautiful old property set in loavely grounds. The rooms in the newer part of the property are small and quite dark and not what you would expect for the expensive rate that they charge. There is no soundproofig in the room so you can quite clearly hear people talking in the coridoors as they go to their rooms. The room was clean and tidy.The staff are friendly and helpful

The gardens were really lovely, and some cosy places to sit inside by the fireplace. But that is about where it ends. The place is really tired and old. The rooms and bathroom were cramped in the extreme, and either their pictures on the site are misleading or we did not get put in the room type we booked. The housekeeping team are the loudest and most inconsiderate of guests that I have encountered. Dont expect a relaxing start to your morning. A lot of basics were not met, like the shower gel was empty and clearly had been for a long time. Luckily the shower had plenty of very hot water, since the heating did not work. It was all really not acceptable for $400 per night. Wanted to love it but unfortunately dont think I would go back, with so many other lovely options available for much lower price.

Just ok. This property needs some maintenance and a good refurbishment it’s very dated. Ambience was very flat. Staff ok but not attention to detail. We ordered a coffee that never came. Table tops needed to be cleaned. Reception staff appeared to be wanting to be elsewhere. Room had musty smell and small compared to other hotels in area. I won’t be coming back any time soon if ever. Disappointing stay.

The attraction of Peppers Craigieburn is the historic late 1890s homestead set amongst wonderful gardens and the green rolling slopes of the surrounding golf course. On arrival we wandered amongst wonderful bell shaped Enkianthus, candel larkspurs, lupine, roses starting to pop their heads out, blackbirds jumping amongst the hellebores. Probably as a result of not booking our room through our member’s All Accor website combined with our request for a ground floor room (there is no lift to service the upstairs balcony rooms in the old section of the hotel), we were allocated to a room in the ‘new’ section on the ground floor. Pros include the historic home with common rooms full of comfy country lounge chairs and fireplaces and well kept gardens (a real wedding venue), the quiet off road country setting, above average hot and cold buffet breakfast ($28 pp) and efficient friendly staff - our TV was stuck on HDMI not TV - the staff immediately fixed it. Cons - the tiny room (#57) where the bathroom floor area was smaller than that of the shower and the air conditioner even though it was turned off, seem to emit a hum during the night. Also, at check in staff failed to mention that our room could be accessed from the side carpark which is a level entry access, so we hauled our heavy bags up the front set of stairs past reception to our room. Must book an upstairs balcony room next time and ask for assistance with the bags. Would stay here again.

The hotel was fine but old and in need of an update in parts. The room was fine for a 1980s basic hotel room but was nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable, the central wall based room heating was cosy ad at times hot. We had a few issues at check in. The reception and restaurant staff werent very friendly. But it was the cheapest option around and did the job for 2 nights.

The rooms are quite small and ours was a fair walk from the car park and we had three flights of stairs which wasn’t easy with a three year old. Room service was great. There was a wedding on the afternoon of our stay which limited us moving around the front of the hotel. Lovely old hotel.

We are fortunate to find Peppers Craigieburn because the hotel is pet-friendly. So, our beloved dog Hachi can travel to Bowral with us. The hotel is a heritage building that has beautifully preserved its old-world charm. It has a vast and well-manicured garden for us to take a pleasant walk. Centennial Vineyards and Bowral shops are within 10-minute drive. The hotel room is clean. Staff is helpful. Overall we had a very nice experience at Peppers Craigieburn. Will definitely come back!

Our stay was ok, but unfortunately, we did not get the room we paid for. Plus, the restaurant was a bit overpriced for what we got, and the service was not great. Lovely friendly staff but if a restaurant charges as much as they do, then the staff need to be more attentive and better trained.

The hotel was lovely. However, there are certainly areas around the food and drinks that can be worked on. We had cocktails in the lounge area and it was clear that the barman had no idea as he made our Margherita with lime cordial. It was replaced by a much more efficient staff member. Our room had a Lounge Service menu but when we went to the bar, there were limited options and we were not permitted to order some items. Why??? We don’t know! Breakfast the next morning was cold. We were there at7.00am opening time but the ‘hot’ food in the Bain Marie was cold, or at best Luke warm. For such a highly regarded hotel, I believe they can do so much better.

Our room was on the ground floor as we didn't want to carry bags up flights of stairs. On arrival, the reception desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious (Elms Wing Room) and the bed comfy. Our bathroom was an accessible one (though we didn't need accessibility) but it had one dim light and no heating apart from that provided to the main bedroom so it was a bit cold. There was no flat surface to put things on apart from a narrow glass shelf. It really needs a table or vanity. There was plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as hand cream but only 3 tissues left in the box. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious with a set deal of either two courses or three. The scallops for entree were beauifully cooked, my seafood bisque had one piece of each type of seafood which looked small but was very filling and came with toasted sourdough to mop up the sauce. Dessert was a sort of lemon meringue pie with a different name. It was too sweet for me but very nice flavours. I would recommend the restaurant for dinner. A buffet breakfast was included and was average. It wasn't bad but also wasn't amazing with the usual fare - nothing special. Overall we had a lovely night at Peppers Craigieburn and would stay there again but would love if those small issues in the bathroom could be improved.

There is no lift at the property and we were on the third floor so this was a struggle with luggage. Main reception area and sitting rooms are beautiful and well maintained, however rooms are on the tired side, but ckean. Our toilet cistern leaked and would refill/top up every 40 minutes - this made for a terrible first nights sleep , I mentioned this to the receptionist the next morning and they said someone would look at it - this never happened and we were not updated on the problem or offered a room change - we turned the water off to the toilet after we got ready for bed - lucky my husband is handy 🙄

Staff were excellent and considerate as I have a walking sit and limited in my walking, they made us aware of single level access and the same for our room . Didnt need to use stairs , thank you. Loved the stay wish it was longer.
