Motel 6-Salem, OR

Basic room with your normal wear and tear. No microwave but that was expected. The parking lot was terrible. You can see where the pool was they replaced it with graven and cheap tables and chairs, kind of funny looking

Great price but also no frills: no water, no fridge, no hair dryer, can be noisy at times…perfectly acceptable for the very basics…

Wifi disconnects alot

No, the air conditioning leaked all over the floor. And I have stayed in the same room before and it did the same thing.

Online it said they have a pool, but they had filled it in earlier this summer and the website was not updated. This is something we were really looking forward to after a hot day at the State Fair. The room was really clean and it was nice and quite.

The room was clean, however their was no coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator that was described as being available to use for the travelers stay. The fire alarms are outdated and there was no smoke alarms in my room. Parking is limited for the handicapped parking & is not enforced. The FREE Breakfast was only coffee, creamer & sugar, the only microwave was in the lobby. The property is under construction as the old swimming pool is not filled in with gravel in front of my room #126.

Internet wasnt working all night, and tv kept going in and out all night too

Motel claims to have a pool and also microwave and fridge in the rooms. They have none of these but still want to charge full price. Management needs to update or lower prices.

There was bugs in my room, It was not clean.

This was the worst place we have ever stayed. We just needed a place to sleep because we have a junk hunt fair in the area to sell our products. We didn't need anything fancy but I expected it to be clean and quiet. There were small flies in our room, hair in the sink, smelled of smoke, the person above us was moving around and stomping all night until 2am, and there were stains on the sheets. We slept in our clothes. I would never stay here again and we cancelled our next night, but they would give us refund.

I saw a cockroach under desk, stains on the wall and on the floor and bed linens had holes. Left within an hour of checking in.

Uncomfortable and unclean. We booked a double queen, checked in and carried all of our bags upstairs with our 2 year old. Opened the door and we got one queen. Carried everything back out, after being told the only room available was upstairs, there was suddenly a double queen downstairs. Management was very apologetic and cordial, they did fix the error immediately. We got into the room and it was nasty. Pubic hair in the toilet, on the seat, all over the floor. The tub was full of hair and the hand towels on the edge of the tub were placed on top of a pile of hair on the rim of the tub. Beds were hard and lumpy and there was hair on pillow cases and sheets. Floors were definitely unmopped and looked unswept. Crumbs and dirt and lint in all the corners. Soap residue and toothpaste on mirror and sink. Unsanitary, just unsettling. I did not feel comfortable with my family in that room. There were people in filthy RV's running in and out of hotel rooms all day and night and people using drugs and passed out in the corners of the parking lot. This establishment is not somewhere i would bring my family again.

Room smelled like smoke, as well as the bedsheets and towels .

There were Cockroach throughout the room. There was a lack of bedding. We had a thin blanket between two sheets. There was the previous customer hair in the shower and sink.

This place is awful. Sketchy people hanging out on the balcony and parking lot. The door doesn’t close properly and you can see through sides of the door. The walls are really thin so you can hear people (you know what). Not a good place to bring kids … or even yourself. Also they don’t change the bedsheets.

Room stinked of smoke. Faucets loose.

My room had a broken heater, towel rack fell off the wall and the fire alarm chirped, had to disconnect, bathtub was gross looking, seems this was a pack-rat put together room, Will never stay there again

Very clean they've got that going for them. New renovation was nice. Bed springs however were awful you could feel literal springs and hear them make the weirdest noises. Toilet was loose and rocked. Whoever did the floor in the bathroom didn't caulk at the tub so the boards were water damaged majorly warped and when you walked on them they raised up like rolling planks. Fridge, ac/heat/fan control and tv. No blowdryer and just hand soaps. This is a really rough part of town. Parking lot had cameras and vehicle stayed untouched overnight. I've stayed in worse. If you just need a place to crash for a few hours that is clean this works.

No frills place, bed is hard

Room was very old and the area was not very good.

The room was clean but the shelf in the bathroom was held together by duct tape. Walls are thin and could hear other rooms tv and conversations. The bed wasnt comfortable. The security lights, though necessary, made it look like day time all night. Im not complaining, just the facts. Especially in light of the room rate being so cheap. The person working the desk was friendly.

Room smells like smoke. Bathroom sink broken, hole in bathroom ceiling. Power went out in the middle of the night. People upstairs clumped around all night (at least until 01:30) and got up at 05:30.

Bathroom flooring popped up dangerously so--tripping hazard. No drain to close in order to draw a bath. Bathtub leaked so water under the flooring got my socks wet. No shampoo only bars of soap provided.

The fixtures in the bathroom we’re starting to come off the wall and the bedding and pillows were horrible. Very noisy from the other room’s surrounding mine. Paper thin walls. Ceiling was popcorn. Wonder about asbestos.

I thought the parking lot was ripped up, which created congestion, only to realize that was the pool. They’d filled it in and arranged tables and chairs on it. Weird. Room was fine. Bed was super uncomfortable. And had a noisy frame. Bathroom was awful. Not for claustraaphobics for sure. Clientele was questionable, but overall it’s just mildly better than “fine”.

Gave this room a four because you get what you pay for the room was clean very dated lots of things damaged sink tub, etc. the neighborhood was very sketch

Great helpful staff

Paid for room through orbitz. When I arrived at hotel, cashier told me I didn't have a room. Told me to leave property. Showed him confirmation number, but still refused to give me my room. Was told again to leave and that I didn't have a room. Charge for room is still deducted from my checking account. Had to sleep in car on side of road.

Parking in front of room was minimal, and taken up but a long term car and a trailer. No in-room coffee or fridge. Stayed for 5 days and had NO housekeeping services, despite being told on the 2nd day that it would be every 3 days. Garbage also not changed upon request on 2nd day. Had to get fresh towels on 3rd day as we'd left them wet on the floor, expecting housekeeping to change them. Although the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant, I will not stay at another Motel 6, ever again.

They couldn't check us in as their internet was out. After waiting 1 to 2 hours they still couldn't check me in. So I drove down the street and got another hotel room. Incompetent at best.

Excellent front counter staff with a passion for customer service. Basic room but clean

Booked through Expedia. Arrived at the very sketchy neighborhood to find a poorly maintained motel. The hotel clerk could not find my reservation number, my confirmation number or confirm the booking in any way. He did offer to give us a room at almost three times the price.

When I checked in the front desk lady said my room number out loud with another person in the office. There were homeless people smoking crack on the end of the building I was staying in. I did not feel safe at all.

There were homeless people around the property. At one point in the evening someone banged on our door and left after we asked who it was. This happened twice. Later in the night someone pulled up in a pickup truck outside our unit and they were not staying at the motel. We also heard noises outside all night and two young guys wandering around the parking lot checking out the cars. Overall not a great experience.

This was the scariest Motel 6 I've ever stayed at. It felt like something out of a horror movie.The building looked decrepid and was falling apart on the outside. The hotel room doors looked like they had been knocked in multiple times by battering rams. The bathroom felt like a prison cell. The doors had doubled dead bolts for good reason. I thought my car would get broken into for sure. Nothing but homeless and drug addicts roaming around the property. However, the room was quite clean. Do yourself a favor - spend a few extra bucks and stay in a nicer part of town.

Door security latch was broken. Lots of sketchy folk in the immediate area, did not stay the night due to safety concerns.

The hotel was nothing special, the hotel needs major updates. The night manager was very helpful and friendly… However it appeared that drug deals were going on, cars people not staying at the hotel staying for hours walking around on their cell phones making us feel uncomfortable and not able to take our dog out to potty and feel safe.. talked with the manager who said would check out the area??? Saw way too much than wanted too … Would not stay there again, hopefully someone will call me about this!

The property was full of homeless people especially at night. Went there for my graduation so needed something quick. Rooms were okay nothing fancy.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The neighborhood was right off the freeway, and easy access to lots of businesses.

The room was clean,there was a mcdonalds close by and a Pietro's pizza (which was excellent).A gas station and mini mart across the street. The property seems a little run down.

Near subway and McDonald's and a pizza place and acarde game place

Motel 6 used to be good deals, good quality stays but not anymore. The staff were nice, some had limited English but that is where it ended. The motel room I was assigned to had bugs, the shower head leaked spraying outside of the shower and all over the floor, but most severely was the windows. The window frame was severely broken and coming off, rusted parts, installed backwards, had damage from clear evidence of someone breaking into the room. I wasn't going to tolerate such, so I immediately rang front desk (which I had to guess it was 0 on the telephone as there was no list of local places, front desk, etc as norm) and had them come down and see the damage so we didn't get charged as we had literately just received the room keys not even 5 min previously. To add, the telly had no channel guide list like most places so I had to channel surf to find the cartoons for the kids. Dining was limited for Vegan needs. If you aren't vegan or dairy free, there is a pizza parlor, McDonald's within walking distance. We had to go downtown, roughly 4 miles and found BigWig Donuts that offered Dairy Free food options and a Fred Meyer's because of Allergens to Dairy. There was no mini fridge or microwave in room either. This place certainly has gone downhill from what they used to be.
