RR Hotel da Rocha

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was larger than we expected, the beds comfortable and worked well for our family of 4. The area around the hotel was very very busy but the hotel felt safe and was never over crowded. The restaurant on site was very good. The breakfast was well worth it and the dinner buffet was tasty with lots of variety. The parking was the only thing we struggled with. There is limited reserved parking and we had to park quite a distance.

Great location, with quick and easy access to the beach. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Awesome breakfast. Only issue was the lack of parking. I had hoped to secure one of the underground parking spots at the hotel but none was available. Would recommend that the hotel books a parking spot at the same time a room is booked.

An easy stay, good breakfast and excellent location. Hotel is a bit tired around the edges, and rooms need modernising. Gym equipment broken and dusty. Pool area is mostly in the shade but overall okay for a few nights.

We had a Large room with balcony with ocean view. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Pool is kind of small and on the cooler side. Beach access right across. Our only issue was the parking garage (cost $15/night) access being dangerously tight ( even for European garage standards;) has to be very careful not to damage your car. Two way access is tight for 1 car one way at a time.. overall very nice hotel.

Das beste Hotel bei unserer Algarve Rundreise. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross und sauber. Das Zimmer wird sehr schnell gereinigt. Das Frühstücksbüffet war ausgezeichnet. Es gab sogar mehrere frische Smoothies. Unbedingt das Frühstück dazu buchen. Zum Strand ist es auch nur über die Strasse. Das Hotel bietet in der eigenen Tiefgarage für lediglich 6 Euro pro Tag Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Zudem war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.

Nice hotel, breakfast included for a small additional charge but it was definitely worth it - plenty of choices for food and drinks. Absolutely recommend to books it with breakfast included. Close to the sea. As you exit hotel you are right in the middle of shopping area with view on the sea. The only thing I didn't like we had to pay separately for parking.

The pool area is nicely kept, but because it’s surrounded by tall buildings on three sides, it loses sunlight early in the day and tends to be deserted by around 3pm. Staff are professional and efficient, though more formal than friendly. The location is excellent, with the beach and nightlife both within easy walking distance. Parking in the area is scarce, so the hotel’s underground parking (currently €15 per day) is a real benefit. Check-in and check-out were smooth, though as I arrived early I did have to wait around two hours for my room to be cleaned, with keys handed over at 3pm. Overall, a well-situated hotel with great views and comfort, but some areas could be improved to make the experience feel more polished.

RR Hotel de Rocha is a perfect spot to launch from for a beach vacation. Access to the Praia de Rocha is across the street! The friendly staff made us feel welcome and were very helpful. The hotel’s parking is 20€ per day (in late July 2025) and is located under the building. An amazing breakfast buffet is included every morning. So many fresh, delicious options that you can choose different items every day for a week! Walk to tens of restaurant and shopping choices. Due to the hotel’s location, there can be music and crowd noise at night. Things seemed to quiet down around midnight during our stay (Monday-Thursday). Make a plan and go and don’t forget the sunscreen!

Room was very large and clean. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was as expected for a buffet. Fresh options much better than other. Some great fresh juices. Pool is small and at this time of year largely in shade but we were not interested in using it. Very good situation for access to the beach and restaurants. Our view was disappointing but we hadn't paid for sea view. Only stayed 2 nights.

My only complaint was that there was no coffee maker in our room (Suite Prestige). I had seen Nespresso machines in the photos and assumed all rooms would have one, but apparently only the higher category of rooms. Fantastic location across the street from the main beach and. Short walk to many restaurants. Be sure to walk through the opening in the cliff at the far right side of the beach at low tide - you can walk long the beaches lol the way to Praia Vau. Absolutely gorgeous!! Overall a great stay, and I was very happy with our choice.

Clean and well maintained property. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet and spacious. The week spent in Portimão was extremely enjoyable and relaxing.

We stayed here for three days with our two children and absolutely loved it. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed—and the room was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Just a small tip: try to go before 9 AM to avoid a wait for seating. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job keeping the room and facilities clean each day. Our only minor issue was the sofa bed—the mattress was quite thin and not very comfortable, even for our lightweight nine-year-old daughter. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay.

Ein wirklich schönes Hotel mit kurzem Weg zum Strand. Empfangs & Frühstückspersonal nett und zügig. Die einzigen Minuspunkte sind, keine Nespresso Maschine auf dem Zimmer, kein frischer Orangensaft und kein täglich verfügbares frisches Obst beim Frühstück. Sehr ärgerlich ist allerdings das die Putzfrauen es nich schaffen die Zimmer bis 15 oder 16 Uhr zu reinigen ! 👎

Quarto espaçoso que apresenta uma estrutura correta e boa apresentação! Só a lamentar que a base de duche tinha incrustações de bolor, o que para um hotel que se pretende diferenciador não abona a seu favor.

I only have great things to say about this hotel, it was clean, the staff were amazing the location is perfect right next to the beach and the main little strip with shops and restaurants…. The buffet exceeded my expectations it was one of the most enjoyable breakfast buffets I have ever had. I highly recommend this hotel!

Le tre stelle nel giudizio complessivo, derivano dal fatto che l'hotel nella descrizione delle stanze parla di " angolo cottura attrezzato " di cucina, e nelle foto messe li ad arte si vede chiaramente la cappa ed una parte lucida, nera sotto la cappa che sembra un piano cottura ad induzione, ma niente di tutto ciò, la piastra è finta, o meglio c'è ma è coperta e scollegata e dalla reception ci dicono che non hanno le autorizzazioni per motivi di sicurezza per poter consentire di cucinare all'interno delle camere, quindi appare chiaro nel complesso che non si tratta di errore ma di intenzionalità nel far credere la presenza di un qualcosa che non c'è, INACETTABILE !!! Per il resto, le camere sono spaziose e sempre ben pulite, il bagno è funzionale,e c'è un bel balconcino, le camere silenziose sia verso l'interno e che verso l'esterno, il letto immenso, si riposa bene; l'aria condizionata è ok ma potrebbe essere un po meno rumorosa. La colazione è discreta così come la cena, non sicuramente tra le migliori che ho provato in altre strutture. La zona è centrale, ben posizionata sulla via della movida, di fronte dall'altra parte della strada c'è una grande spiaggia sabbiosa atrezzata con ombrelloni e lettini; altro punto dolente il parcheggio, forse pari all 2 % delle camere ed a pagamento alla modica cifra di 20 € , ma tanto non lo si trova mai !! La "zona fitness " è inesistente ! La piscina è piccola e claustrofobica. Il personale è molto discreto, gentile e professionale.

It's a great location but i was in the sixth floor and head people walking above me all the time made sleeping at the hotel unpleasant.

The hotel room was ok. We booked a balcony suite. The balcony was small the room dated for a 4 star. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was like the photos. The challenge with the hotel is the noise. From 11pm to 4am it was like there was a party in the room. It was all outside, near the road, traffic, people, music. Whilst the hotel is ok if you want a party not ideal if you want to go to sleep at 11pm.

Very large bedrooms, ours had a partial view of the beach and sea. Nice little kitchen area with a sink, microwave, cups, plates, cutlery. Big bathroom with shower. Maid service everday cleaning floor, bins making bed. Big, big choice of breakfast. You will love it. Beaches are big and there is plenty of them. Clean all around the area. Shops, cafes, bars restaurants. All the food we had was lovely. The pool area was quite due to it's size and shade over the pool after 3pm, but still nice for a swim and read a book. We spent 7 nights and enjoyed the walks up and down the beach discovering the beautiful little coves for plenty of photos opportunity's. Would recommend this hotel and area for couples and families.

Very, very oexpensive for the service provided. Paid for oceanfront room and was on the first floor with a great view of a 24hr electronic billboard that flashed all night long. Do not recommend staying at this hotel, at least not for triple the price of regular off season rates

Beautiful ocean views and large clean room

Didn’t like that you could not have Guest and security was horrible.

On arrival Matheus was very accommodating as we arrived early. He suggested keeping our luggage at the hotel. We did as soon as our room was ready he contacted us. Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel and would consider staying there in the future.

Excellent hotel in great location in the Algarves overall and specifically great location in Portimão. A plus is that the taxi stand is right outside and beach just across the street. The breakfast spread is quite impressive and will not leave you hungry. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only issue with spotty Wi-Fi on the higher floors, which the staff indicated they were aware of and were in the process of fixing.

I expressed some concerns about my stay and they were not addressed. If you are going to AfroNation. Stay away. They will overcharge for subpar accommodations. I also had a reservation for two people and they would stop me outside and tell me I could not have guests. My friend could not even help me with my outfit. I had to come outside to have her fix my bathing suit top. I felt humiliated and paid a lot of money to be treated disrespectfully. Wish they would have addressed my concerns or offered a partial refund.

I don’t think I’ll ever return to the area and not utilize this facility. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and accommodating. The doorman explained to me how to say a few of the words in Portuguese and as the four day trip went on, commented on my usage of it and it’s a little details like that that made this stay great. The city view room that we had on the seventh floor, which would’ve been looking east was phenomenal. You can see the harbor you were able to see the street and we were there for a festival so we really had a great vantage point to see people coming and going and having a good time. Staying at this facility truly made the experience for myself and my beloved one that we will never forget. Also, the breakfast that is included is a must and you have got to try the pool side drinks. Obrigado!!

Amazing hotel very clean and spacious. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with any requests. Tanya at reception allowed me to check in early which was incredibly kind of her as I was early. Hotel breakfast was plentiful and well managed and replenished so plenty for everyone! Location is also very central, near to the beach and restaurants cafes and bars! Delightful stay! Highly recommend!

Decent property. Pretty clean. Staff at check in was very poor. We were not told anything about the property, we had no idea that there was a dinner buffet in the restaurant. Breakfast quality was below average. The staff need to learn to smile. Total lack of courtesy. A senior next to me told the lady making the omelettes to add cheese to it, the cheese was right next to her but she was rude and said take the cheese from there we cannot add it. Will never go back to this hotel again.

Great property, in front of beautiful Praia de Rocha. Nice Breakfast Buffet. Next to walking district, full of bars and live music, ice cream parlors, great restaurants (Recommend Restaurant F and also Squash for upscale local food) and many tipical tourist stores. Central place in Algarve Region for tours and sight seeing.

Great location that is only a few steps away from the beach. I definitely book again when I come back to the Algarve again in the future.

This hotel was superb from the cleanliness to its luxury. The suite was very modern and spacious. The breakfast spread was fabulous with many choices and a beautiful modern eating area. Loved the location of the hotel very convenient situated to use local transportation or to just walk to local restaurants and attractions.

A great hotel to stay in. Perfect location. All employees so friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast and dinner. A different theme for dinner every night. Great selection of food. A taxi rank right outside the front door. Beach on the doorstep.
