Great lakeside location. Easy access to the water, and a really nice pool area as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was super quick. Room was clean and comfortable. On site restaurant has limited menu options, but food was good. Would stay again for sure.

We really enjoyed our week long stay here. We loved being able to walk on the beach and look at rocks. We attempted to have a bon fire but the wood was really wet so we werent very successful but we definitely laughed about our attempts. We also enjoyed using the pool and hot tub every night after a long day of hiking and adventures! The wifi kept going in and out and we had no service so it made making phone calls a bit difficult but that didnt bother us too much because we did enjoy being disconnected for a bit! When we checked in Kory helped us and told us he made the waterfall map and we took it with us everywhere and tried to hit all the beautiful waterfalls so that was a super nice thing since we couldnt get service! Very happy with our stay and looking forward to making the trip back up next year!

Property is beautiful along Lake Superior. Very clean and comfortable. Resturant food was average, but good. Pool area top notch. Only real coplaint is the WI-FI service. Extremely unreliable and absolutely no cell service. But that is common of the area.

We had a great stay here. It is right outside of the Porcupine Mountains. Nice rooms, free breakfast, good restaurant & an awesome pool with nice WARM water! Great whirlpool & sauna too. Also, it is right on Lake Superior with awesome views, sand beach, fire pits. We will stay here again. Almost forgot, it is PET Friendly too!

We stayed 2 nights and requested room be ‘freshened’ for 2d day. Nothing was done when we returned , trash was not removed, no new towels. Housekeeper said she hadnt time to finish checkouts and never got to room.

All employees polite and friendly. Room immaculate, everything worked well. Bfast, tho nothing real special, good start and well run. Great location! So close to the porcupine mountains and waterfalls. Perfect location for exploring the Western upper peninsula. We had a room overlooking lake Superior. It was beautiful and the beach and fire pit area is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The restaurant is decent and reasonably priced and the food was good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit the porkies. We were even able to see the beautiful night sky with hardly any light pollution. Our room was very clean when we arrived. The housekeeping during our stay was kind of hit or miss. No vacuuming the floors during our stay and one day our bed was half made and our wet towels were folded back up. We had to get more soap from the front desk. Not a deal breaker for sure, just kind of strange.

• When I arrived at around 6:15 pm, the parking lot was completely full, so I had to park on the lawn as all the spaces were filled. After checking in, I learned that the WiFi was terrible (at least in my room), the towels were old (thin) and there was someone else’s hair was on bathroom floor. Yuck! Despite it being 80 degrees outside, the AC in the room had been set to 62, but it felt much colder, so I had to turn the heat on just to make it bearable. After I had gone to bed, a jarring sound woke me up at about 9:30pm. It sounded like a motor that was revving in idle. It literally made the furnishings in the room (114) vibrate. I called the front desk to learn that it was actually a Jacuzzi on the floor above me. She actually said she could hear the noise over the phone. She also said they have had multiple complaints from other guests in the same room in the past, but the manager would do nothing about it. Since the hotel was fully booked, the option of moving to another room was off the table. Since there is no way I could have slept in that room, I elected to check out only a few hours after checking in! On top of that, since there was no WiFi available in my room, I could not go online to find another hotel. I had to drive, at night, to the nearest town to get a cell signal to book another room that was about an hour away. Absolute insanity!

We had a crap ton of flies in our room, had to get a fly swatter from the front desk. The next day we told housekeeping what happened. Ask for our room to be cleaned because of all the flies. All house keeping did was give us clean towels. Never swept or vacuumed up the dead flies. We never did get a free fly day or night.

Our lake view was a pool view! Having our bedroom window right next to the pool room was awful!! That information should be given in the description. I tried to get another room and they said they couldn’t because we booked with Expedia. Also the room was not very clean. Finger prints all over microwave and refrigerator. The rooms definitely could use an update. Disappointed!

The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to check in and out. The hotel offered a great free breakfast that provided a variety of choices. There was also a restaurant in the hotel with good food and a bar. My favorite part was being so close to Lake Superior. There was plenty of different seating options on the beach to enjoy the lake.

This hotel felt overpriced. We were disappointed when we realized that the bedroom shared a wall with the indoor pool. The only view from the bedroom was a window to the pool. Very weird regardless but frustrating since we paid for a lake view room. The was a tiny, obstructed view of the lake if you stood in the far corner of the living room. The breakfast was as disappointing as much cheaper hotels.

The room was clean. The pool was closed due to a leak which was alright. Saying it’s in the middle of nowhere our cell service was SOS. We were accepting of this thinking there would be decent WiFi. However, even though was an amenity that was offered, it was horrible. We couldn’t plan more stops on our trip saying we couldn’t look up anything.

Great location close to Porcupine Mountains. Older renovated property, adequate. Needs new mattresses, bedding and lighter colors throughout. Robert, breakfast attendant was outstanding, personable & refilling coffee at patrons tables. We did not use the restaurant, but had a nice view of the water. Didn’t use the bar either due to dark dingy atmosphere. Employees at the front desk were friendly & helpful.

Despite it being 80 degrees outside, the AC in the room had been set to 62, but it felt much colder, so I had to turn the heat on just to make it bearable. After I had gone to bed, a jarring sound woke me up at about 9:30pm. It sounded like a motor that was revving in idle. It literally made the furnishings in the room (114) vibrate. I called the front desk to learn that it was actually a Jacuzzi on the floor above me. She actually said she could hear the noise over the phone. She also said they have had multiple complaints from other guests in the same room in the past, but the manager would do nothing about it. Since the hotel was fully booked, the option of moving to another room was off the table. Since there is no way I could have slept in that room, I elected to check out only a few hours after checking in! On top of that, since there was no WiFi available in my room, I could not go online to find another hotel. I had to drive, at night, to the nearest town to get a cell signal to book another room that was about an hour away. Absolute insanity!

Great location for the porcupine mountains. Staff was quick and efficient. Room was spotless. The hotel showing its age a little bit, but overall it's well-maintained. The only odd thing was there was an odd smell in the hallways which I couldn't place, but definitely would stay there again.

Room and breakfast were ok. Our room had a window connected to the pool which meant it was noisy. Since pool is open till midnight, hard to sleep. There was a loud noise for most of the night. Turns out it was the shower in the pool left on all night. I have a recording of it. I booked to have laundry facilities, but there was such a line for the one washer and dryer that I ended up having to wake up at 5 am to do our load. The dryer took two full cycles on high to dry one load so it took that much longer for everyone to do their laundry. So, don't get the room by the pool and plan extra time for laundry and it was otherwise fine.

Our lake view was a pool view! Having our bedroom window right next to the pool room was awful!! That information should be given in the description. I tried to get another room and they said they couldn’t because we booked with Expedia. Also the room was not very clean. Finger prints all over microwave and refrigerator. The rooms definitely could use an update. Disappointed!

I had accidentally left my leather coat in my hotel room closet. We were already hours away when I realized my error. The attendant I talked to was very helpful. She found my coat and offered to mail it to me using my credit card on file. It came just as she promised about a week later. I'm very grateful that I was able to contact the hotel directly and didn't get transferred to a "switchboard" operator. Thank you again to that helpful front desk receptionist. :)

Our room was wonderful, the bath was so nice and roomy. The staff was so nice, Connie & Kathy was so helpful and cheerful. Bob who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was so cheerful and keep everything well stocked. The waffle dispenser ran out and he said he’d be back in 30 seconds for a new container, he had another one in the back. He was back in 27 seconds. He couldn’t do enough to keep everyone happy. Bob is amazing!!! We didn’t use the hot tub, so I have no comment. This hotel goes beyond your expectations. I have stayed in many hotels but this one stands out from most others. I will definitely be recur!!!

We normally come up to Silver City and stay at this hotel during the fall colors well this will most likely be our last time. We arrived at the hotel a little early (2:15 ish) and decided to see if our room was ready, instead of the front desk attendant telling us politely that we were early and couldn’t Check in until 3:00 we received attitude and snarkyness, and come to find out our room was indeed ready, when she asked me to see my drivers licenses and credit card I told her I checked in early via a text I received so I shouldn’t have to provide that information (but I provided it anyways) I then received a lecture on how pre check in is not the same as early check in, again not friendly at all. Also when we got into our room it smelled like an ash tray, I thought your hotel is smoke free.

Unfortunately we did not get the lakeview room we had booked (it was under maintenance), and AmericInn by Wyndham Silver City decided not to accommodate this error in anyway. We had asked for ways they could help alleviate our frustrations with their error, and they refused to do so. Unfortunately this brings down their rating. Please do better for your customers.

Check in was sketchy after the front desk attendant yelled, "I'll be there in a minute." in a very grumpy tone. We then waited for 10 minutes. I asked for a restaurant recommendation and she said, "here", referring to their onsite restaurant that now closed in 15 minutes. Once at the restaurant, a server yelled from across the room, "we're closing soon, so go sit over there so we can try to get to you". Everyone in the room turned to look at us, it was very embarrassing. Had the front desk woman not taken so long, we would have had over a half hour before they closed. It was all just very unprofessional. Kindness goes a long way, and we didn't see much of it at this hotel.

We were very happy with our stay the 3rd weekend of September 2025. We had a 1st floor suite with a king-sized bed. The small "living room" had a view of the lake. The bedroom had a view of the pool which was a little disappointing, but we didn't spend much time in the bedroom except to sleep. We brought along a sound machine so having a pool so close to the bedroom window wasn't a problem. Loved that they had firewood and 3 firepits along the lake to enjoy in the evening. We ate one meal at the restaurant which was very convenient as there aren't alot of places to eat close by. It looked like all the tables had a view of the lake. Loved the convenience to the Porcupine Mts. State Park just a few miles away. Staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was more than sufficient to start our day. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location! So close to the porcupine mountains and waterfalls. Perfect location for exploring the Western upper peninsula. We had a room overlooking lake Superior. It was beautiful and the beach and fire pit area is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The restaurant is decent and reasonably priced and the food was good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit the porkies. We were even able to see the beautiful night sky with hardly any light pollution. Our room was very clean when we arrived. The housekeeping during our stay was kind of hit or miss. No vacuuming the floors during our stay and one day our bed was half made and our wet towels were folded back up. We had to get more soap from the front desk. Not a deal breaker for sure, just kind of strange.

Location was absolutely perfect for visiting Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds and evening viewing of sunsets over Lake Superior. The accommodations were comfortable and rooms spacious and updated. The restaurant onsite was a bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay and had a Great Lake side room.. very nice hotel and staff. My only complaint is the restaurant closed a lot earlier than advertised by sign outside.. so we had no dinner. It was a Friday night( we got there at 7, was suppose to be open till 9),very disappointing since this was one of the reason we picked this hotel. We noticed this the next night also..

We chose this hotel specifically because it had a hot tub and a bar/restaurant attached. When we arrived the hot tub was not working and the bar/restaurant were closed for some kind of construction. Asked if we could get an upgrade to a room with a whirlpool tub or a discount and we were told no because we weren't rewards members. Continental breakfast might have been fine but there was a sign on the counter that said Sorry Out of eggs. It wasn't that people ate what they already made but that they didn't have any to make at all. And the breakfast juice machine was out of order as well. Room was fine. Sauna worked. But nobody seemed to care that we paid more than the surrounding motels for amenities that weren't available. Didn't even get a polite apology

Was disappointed the dining room was closed for the season even with some color left in the porkies..especially with the bar/restraunt down the road also closed..last time the dining room also closed for a wedding reception...at least the restraunt down the street was open..and this stay there seemed to be alot of guests. Excellent location and property for Porcupine Mtn area. Hotel is great and there is a pizza/burger place down the street called Porkies Depot. DO NOT EAT at restaurant next door Superior View as it is not good.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice. Breakfast was a nice thing to o have early in the morning. It was kept up well. The food was always kept fresh and atea was always being cleaned by the wait staff. They all did an amazing job. We will be back again to this area and hotel. We plan on using AmericInn as we plan different adventures within the United States. Loved our stay there on Lake Superior. ♥️

We had a great stay here in Silver city! The staff were all so wonderful, kind, and helpful. We had a great room with a lake view and a refrigerator that was larger than most hotels’ little tiny ones which was helpful for us. The breakfast was meh, which is pretty standard for an AmericanInn though they did have hot eggs from a bag and sausage. It was nice that they had a restaurant attached. We will stay here again.
