Motel 6-Pleasanton, CA

This was probably the worst experience. The entire night there was a construction right in front of the motel… just drilling the entire night. Please pay $20 more and go to nice hotel near by. This is a disaster place. Pool broken just aweful. $54 truly you get what you pay for.

The property parking lot was difficult to get into due to a comedy club being right next to it and people from the club were parking and walking around the hotel parking lot.

The staff at the reception was very friendly, however the pool has been under construction (for a looong time now) and the towels were tiny and had spots :(

Deceptive advertising. The pool looked great on the website but was under construction when I arrived. I also was given a room next to a room a very large loud barking dog. When I asked the front desk to change my room they said they had no other rooms. I then asked for a refund and they said I would have to cancel through Expedia. Horrible service and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

There was NO parking by my room and they said they turned off the ice machine for some reason. It turned out that the machine was completely out of order. The toilet didn't flush a few times, so I had to work on the toilet using my handyman skill. I was trying to get away for a relaxation

Bed had a big sag in the middle, pillow cases were dirty, a/c was dirty from dust seems they never wipe it down. Pool was closed when they said it was available

No power first day, no pool

The location is convenient. They have a lot of places to eat right across the street and there is a convenience store gas station right in the same lot. The issues I have are on two occasions I checked in and told the water would be shut off for 2

Overall it was good. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out.Ample parking, comfortable beds. The motel was not easy to find from the street. Didn't see a tall sign. There was only a sign on Motel but tree branch covered part of it. The room had peeling paint chips in bathroom and cigarette stains on toilet seat and tub. Since no "Don't Disturb" hanging signs were provided, we and other guests were creative and made our own. Yes, we felt safe and a place to sleep. It was pricey, but was the cheapest on the Internet. You get what you pay for I guess.

The pool was no in operation. Room was fine, a little noisy.

Terrible hotel. Not clean: cigarette burns in the sheets. Cockroaches in the bathroom. This hotel is easily the worst I have ever been stayed at and never will again.

Not clean the heat is dirty

The shower/bathtub was very dirty. I didn’t want to step on it. I had to skip taking a shower. There were a couple of cockroaches as well. The little refrigerator in the room was so unbalanced that whenever I opened it, it would tilt.

Room sas full or cockroaches had to check out - pls reportt thsi hotel as a health hazard and unsanitary

Room had cockroaches. Didn't really understand how many were in there until I woke up at 2am and saw them all over the bathroom

I didn’t stay the complete stay only the Thursday evening! The commode was broken and I fell off of it. There was red paint all over the floor and the sheets on the second bed were visibly soiled I never seen anything this bad and wish I could get a refund

There were many things I liked about the property. My room was clean. The bed was good. It seemed that everything was done with intention and care. Then I awoke in the morning with cockroaches skittering along the floor. It seemed to me hotel management was trying hard to make this a nice hotel, so I hope the roach problem will be handled soon.

I stayed here recently for a about 8 hours in between my shifts. I checked in after 11:00 p.m. And had to switch rooms because the room they checked me into had hair in the bed. Very disgusting! I asked if they can bring me the key to my room but they were unable to and told me to come down to the desk to get the key. I had to pack up My stuff, head down to the office, just to be placed in a room. Room a couple doors down from where I was. The remote control in new room did not work to turn on the TV. I called the office and the gentleman told me That I can come down and get A new remote. At this point I'm upset because I just came down to get the key so I asked if he can bring it up and he said he could but he doesn't know how long it will be. I could see if he was working by himself, but there was another gentleman on staff that night so it was no excuse to not accommodate guests requests. It is almost midnight at this point and I had to be to work at 7:00 a.m. The following morning. He ended up bringing the remote about 10 minutes later or so. When I went to take a shower that morning, I noticed long stringy hair in the bathtub. I took a picture of it before I rinsed it down the drain. The water also does not get hot in the room and I had to take a semi-cold shower in the middle of the winter. I was not happy at all with this stay. This property manager should have a chat with their employees. Expedia, I am not happy with this stay

Was expecting the queen bed. It was a full-size bed. It wasn’t even a mattress but more like a rollaway bed. It was horrible. I’m very uncomfortable, but we had a room.

Unfortunately, I had a very hard time sleeping due to excessive noise throughout the night. There appears to be a bar or restaurant across the street, and people were extremely loud—playing music from their cars and singing loudly late into the night. The noise level made it almost impossible to get any rest. Because of this, I would not recommend staying here if you have a family or need a quiet place to sleep. While the staff was great, the noise situation seriously impacted our stay.

The place is nice but the internet is terrible. When I say bad, you get 5 to 10 Mbps as speed. What kind of internet is that. That's not even enough to watch a Netflix movie

On the plus side, Motel 6 has added mini fridges in the rooms. Unfortunately, the room wasn't as clean as it could've been, especially the bath and shower. Also, the bed was pretty uncomfortable. If you're a light sleeper, you'll probably be awakened throughout the night because the walls are thin.

Lumpy uncomfortable mattress; reserved room with 2 full beds but on arriving was told that room was unavailable. Was offered a room with one queen bed or two rooms with one bed. Opted for the former but the bed was not a queen but rather a full. Weird tacky furniture . Will not stay there again.

It was just fine, but the bed was hard as a rock, The room was clean, the air conditioning worked great. There was no plug for the tub.

Loud guests until late at night. Room next to ours had the tv playing all night! The owners didn't seem to care.

The bed had a huge lump in the middle and sleeping in that bed was like sleeping on the ground.

Staff was wonderful as always but this time I was in a room that had the worst mattress ever had a hard time sleeping and now my back is hurting

Well I paid for the room in advance then when I got there they gave me a room that was occupied. Someone was already staying in the room. So I had to wait for another room .

Staff is pathetic on the front desk. They were very rude.

We reserved a room for June 3-5 and confirmed that the night desk would be open for our *late* arrival. Arrived well after midnight (so June 4 AM), called and rang the bell multiple times, waited about 20 minutes, and no one came so we were not able to check in. I can only rate on service.

My stay at the Pleasanton Motel 6 unfortunately was not at the level I thought it would or should be and expected a little better. Some issues quickly came up and were not addressed. It seemed the staff at the front were not fully or completely trained or just didn’t know how to address an issue as cordial and friendly as they generally were. It seems management and not its, or their, job in making sure all issues or concerns were addressed and taken care of to the level of any stay property or service business. Something has been let go for some reason. To someone yelling out and using expletives outside their door to another renter smoking marijuana outside of his door downwind from me to the phone inside my room incapable of calling the front desk including no hot shower because of a boiler problem, these are some of the issues that i experienced and that were not addressed or resolved in some way as you would expect them to be. The staff needs help in making their jobs more professional and helpful to customers and more helpful to them as to not have to experience unhappy or unsatisfied customers. It’s a disservice to them and their work day and they deserve better and should be done right by. To not do so is a commentary on management and a sure sign management is not doing their job, which all in all all falls on them. Help the workers. Again, they deserve it and better.

Friendly and helpful staff

Friendly staff also allowed us to check in 3 hours early after a long trip. I was not expecting this from a low price motel.

The Office Management is very kind, accommodating and thoughtful.

The motel was in a convenient location. Restaurants were within walking distance.

Close to the Bart. A nice selection of restaurants in the area. Close to the freeway.

Location is good.

I spent a full day in San Francisco and I was too tired to drive back home. This location is right off the freeway, with great food choices nearby, and very affordable. This location has become a favorite for me.

Always a great place to stay. Close to 24 Hour Fitness. The gas station is next door and a lot of restaurants in walking distance.

I need a place to stay for a couple nights this place believe or not. It’s better than people think although no in room coffee you’re within 50 yards of a coffee house but great place for the price.

There was no coffee maker or Blow dryer for my hair. Would be nice to have had both

Disappointed that pool was closed mid summer. Fridge was helpful for us but way overdue for defrosting. No coffeemaker in room. Towels kind of thin, cheap. No way to plug bathtub for bath. No toiletries.

It was just a very basic service for a high price. No breakfast and other amenities.

I like the parking. What I don’t like is your bed, the mattress is old we can touch the spring inside besides there’s no coffee maker, microwave & no shampoo & the soap are too small.

we didnt like anything about the stay there were people fighting all night chairs were broken refrigerator didn't work,no coffee machine. it was horrible. never to stay in a motel 6 ever in my life again

It was the worst hotel experience of my life. Black mold oozing out between ALL the floor boards, all over the room and bathroom. The pool outside was under construction and I don't know if that had anything to do with it, there were tarps covering everything and it was a complete mess. One of the desk guys cursed at me saying "F#*(k YOU!!!" At least 30 times to me when I went to ask for a room change. I had called twice before arriving to check in to requst extra blankets, was told they had plenty and not to worry I could have as many as I wanted. They did not provide any and on the second night when I went to ask again, the guy even took me into the laundry room to show me they had none. Oh, they had also told me each bed had a "comforter" and a blanket. Apparently what they call a comforter is a bed sheet. They insisted "those are comforters". Totally absurd. They said there would be coffee in the lobby starting at 7. I went at 7, door was locked, no one there, no coffee. Same deal at 7:30 and at 8, at which point I left. The phone was broken, didn't work at all. Oh, and the location is right next to a night club. All night long there were sleazy characters mulling around the parking lot, which the motel shared with the night club, and drunk people yelling and partying. By far the worst part was the floor soaked in black mold water. It got all over our bags, soaked through our socks etc.My daughter and I both got sick staying there in mold hotel.

There arent having microwaves thats disappointing. That depend if it need heat at gas station to warmer food then wslking to back motel. Just one misding is mircowaves.
