The property needs a bit of updating. We requested a furst floor room but were given a second floor room. No elevator. Thevroom was clean but outdated. The tv and refrigerator were plugged into a power strip. When entering the lobby area, there wasn't a ramp. I didnt realize it and lost my balance. There is no one in tbe lobby area during nighttime hours. A note is posted with a telephone numberhe hotel's location is perfect, directly across from the beachm

Small motel, staff was friendly and pleasant. A couple of restaurants nearby. Ocean was right off the street. Amazing views from most of the rooms. I also liked that they had an area on the lawn you can relax on chairs and watch the ocean or have a picnic. I would definitely consider this place again in the future.

The location was perfect, we just happened to visit while we were getting major storms - so we didn't get the enjoy the beach. But parking was easy, the room was comfortable. The bed was rather uncomfortable so I could not imagine staying there for more than one night - but otherwise I loved it!

The motel has a great location across the street from the beach, and we appreciated the communal outdoor seating area on the 2nd floor to relax with an ocean view. Room was simple but clean, had a microwave and fridge. Staff was very accomodating about an early check in. Not a fancy place but very pleasant.

Great hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable with pleasant staff. There is no pool but with the ocean across the street who needs it. The have complentary ice for your coolers for the beach or your room. Outdoor rinse area so you dont have to track sand to your room. Will visit again.

The location is great to see the and access the ocean. There is a observation deck for viewing, as well a "porch" in front of the room. Although the building is old, it's a great place to stay for all the shore offers. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, staff was exhalent. There are man y good restaurants within walking distance. It's a grerat place to stay to enjoy the "shore" life.

BEDBUGS!! My bed was infested with bedbugs! I have at least 40 huge bites all over. When I told them about it they didn't seem to care as the manager never got back in touch with me. If you've never been bit by bedbugs they are INTENSELY ITCHY! And I have like 40! Please remember this if you go here. And know that the management doesn't care about this either.

Check in was a breeze. The room location was great however the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The dishes were dirty and had to be washed before use. The coffee pot had not been cleaned. There were crumbs in the silverware drawer and the microwave had crumbs on the tray and grease on the inside of the door. The bathroom door would not stay closed. When I spoke to the front desk they said that they rely on the previous customers to clean their dishes. This is fine but the staff should check to see that it is done. It was too bad because the location is perfect and if the kitchen had been cleaned we would have given this motel an excellent rating.

the hand rails on the 3rd floor were un stable at best. upon arrival, cabinets were full of debris from previous tenant. floors were not vaccuumed and my wife and i wondered what exactly the work staff did. upon copious complaints. the room was vacuumed, towels replaced, and hair from previous occupant removed

Great early spring trip with amazing views of the ocean (third floor). Not many other people currently at this time of year. Comfortable beds and clean room. Walls between rooms are fairly thin (heard talking and snoring) but once patio door open and white noise on, it was fine.

I loved being able to pop out of bed and walk across the street to catch the sunrise. The room was clean and the staff were really nice. Was great to have a fridge. What wasn’t great was that we could hear people above us walking around starting at 5am. I expected there to be hair conditioner and there wasn’t. No closet in the room but you could hang maybe 5 things on a bar next to one of the beds. It met our needs for a short stay at the discounted rate

Great ocean view room, well supplied room, fast check in. The bed was comfortable too. The only thing that needed more attention was the bathroom mirror and sink faucet had spots on them, not wiped clean, an oversight by housekeeping. But i would stay again good nightly rates will make a return customer.

Only major negative is limited motel WiFi access (“a bandwidth issue”) added to limited cell service in the community made normal traveling internet use very inconvenient. We had a third floor room with a balcony and it was just steps to go right up to the ocean. The waves were amazing when we were there! The room itself was large, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. We enjoyed our short stay.

Had a room with a private balcony. Beautiful view of the ocean. Chairs need to be higher or lower to see over or under the railing. Room was wonderful with plenty of room for 2 people. We have stayed there at least a couple times and will definitely come back.

We loved the Sunrise. Tracy, who checked us in, was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. There was a terrific restaurant, a three-minute walk away, with great food and and an equally great vibe. We went there thanks to Tracy's recommendation. We'll definitely go back. It's also right across the street from the beach. You can't ask for more.

I had a great overnight stay! Room was clean and quiet, and ready ahead of schedule. They were quick to help me when I locked myself out of my room (at 7:30 am on a Saturday) and called to let me know I had left something in the room after check out which was very nice of them. Would stay here again!

We were greeted warmly. Asked if we had stayed there before. Upon hearing it was our first time, she gave us a great overview of the amenties. They even had helpful information like sunrise and tide charts handy.

I was very impressed with the Sunrise Motel. The rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly. We did have some wifi issues the first night there but the front desk took care of that for us the next morning. The staff went out of their way for my family. We asked where there was a laundry mat close by as we had two kids and didnt want to go home with a ton of laundry. The staff offered to do the load of laundry for us. They washed, dried, and even folded it. I would recommend this place anytime!!!

I like that we could see the ocean and walk anywhere. Nubble was on 1 mile away and it was just a nice place to stay and relax!

The staff was very friendly. Our room was neat and had a kitchenette that we weren't expecting. We were able to park directly in front of our room. The motel is right across from Long Sands which was convenient. the only downside to the location was that it's located at the very beginning of long sands, so for a few hours before and after high tide, there is no beach and you have to go about a half mile up toward the bathhouse to find sand. I would recommend this motel!

Location, location, location! Sunrise Motel is directly across the street from the ocean on Long Sands in York, ME. Although not directly on the beach, it is only a few minutes walk to a small beach area at low tide. The motel itself is a bit older but extremely clean and comfortable and the staff I met were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the second or third floors for the best views of the ocean as the first floor overlooks the parking area. (Stairs only; no elevator.) Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

We loved the Sunrise. Tracy, who checked us in, was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. There was a terrific restaurant, a three-minute walk away, with great food and and an equally great vibe. We went there thanks to Tracy's recommendation. We'll definitely go back. It's also right across the street from the beach. You can't ask for more.

Nice place with very friendly staff. Location is great for ocean viewing, but a walk to any sandy beach. Kitchenette had everything needed. Room walls are thin enough to hear Tv playing during the night. Also, web site says breakfast, but that’s old news now. We’d still go again.

Small motel, staff was friendly and pleasant. A couple of restaurants nearby. Ocean was right off the street. Amazing views from most of the rooms. I also liked that they had an area on the lawn you can relax on chairs and watch the ocean or have a picnic. I would definitely consider this place again in the future.

My family rented for different rooms to celebrate our last night together at the ocean following my son‘s wedding at a camp in Maine. It was perfect. Shirley at the front desk and every hotel worker we met or accommodating and friendly. We used the picnic tables and Adirondack chairs out front to enjoy an evening of hot chili prepared in our room. The little kitchenette served our purposes well, and our first floor room was exceptional In size, comfort, and cleanliness. We all had incredible ocean views, and saw an amazing sunrise, even the two of us who had first floor rooms. The value was amazing and we will be back.

Wonderful location on Long Sands with sidewalk along the beach. Our room was clean and had everything we needed - mini fridge & microwave; table with 2 chairs; comfortable bed. A great shower. Folks at the registration desk were very friendly and helpful.

The motel has a great location across the street from the beach, and we appreciated the communal outdoor seating area on the 2nd floor to relax with an ocean view. This was an amazing little spot that was convenient for the wedding that I attended 7 minutes down the road. The room was spacious with a small kitchen and pots and pans were provided. While sitting at the table in front of large window, I had a view of the ocean and so much light from the sun. I was not expecting a tub with jets, but it was perfect for being on my feet all day & night in heels. The office people were so friendly and personable. It made it comfortable to come and go when needed. I highly recommend this place. I will be back with my family.

Perfect spot for visiting Long Sands Beach and the Nubble Lighthouse. This is not your run of the mill chain motel, but a locally run motel that brings with it all the benefits of being small and local. We would 100% stay again.
