Der er en restaurant, men de glemt at fortælle at man skal reservere plads. Så vi kunne ikke få noget st spise. Ellers et meget hyggeligt sted med en flot have. Værelset er meget gammelt, men senge er ok. Badeværelse er en del nyrer ind reste af Værelset.

Beautiful old abbey, but rooms need a fair bit of modernisation. The main light wasn't working, the lift was temperamental, so had to drag my suitcase up the stairs and guests next door were partying until 3AM smoking pot (obviously not the hotel's fault but no phone to call reception to report it). Overall not the best experience staying there.

Lieu magnifique, confort parfait, propreté impeccable. Le diner trop cher pour la qualite. Le serveur peu aimable. Et le pire, le bar dans le cloitre : boites à thé vides, attente interminable pour finalement ne pas avoir le chocolat demandé et spritz imbuvable. Dommage... le petit dejeuner par contre était parfait.

The room was filled with dust, cracks in the wall, floor was dirty - my husband with a dust mite allergy went through the roof. We’ve asked a room change at check in, they told us it was fully booked. After the dust mite incident they all of a sudden wanted to check “possibilities of rebooking” .. the room looked like a dorm, not cosy at all. Such a shame as it’s a stunning location. Overall disappointed.

Het gebouw en terrein waren prachtig maar ons kleine zolderkamertje was muffig niet stofvrij en heel erg toe aan een opknap beurt. 2 lisse bedden ver uitelkaar waarvan 1 ijzeren spijlen had waar ik me heel wat keren aan gestoten heb. Deze kaners zijn zeker niet op de site te vinden.

Het gebouw is prachtig. Wij waren zeer verbaasd een hotelkamer te hebben zonder toilet en douche. De wastafel was vies. Prullenbak vol afval en handdoek van vorige gebruiker was er nog. Het ontbijt was zeer karig. Het had nauwelijks smaak.

Prachtig gebouw en vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Kamers zijn netjes, de badkamer is wat gedateerd. Door de houten vloeren kan het wat gehorig zijn maar gelukkig hebben wij er geen last van gehad.

Bij aankomst voelde het hotel direct onprettig. De geur deed denken aan een oude, stoffige zolder. Alles kraakte bij elke stap, wat een spookhuisachtige sfeer gaf. De kamers waren donker en benauwd, en de toiletten en badkamer moesten gedeeld worden — helaas waren deze niet schoon. Het geheel deed denken aan een horrorscène; als je fan bent van de film The Nun, dan voel je je hier misschien thuis. Ik ben zelf niet gebleven, omdat het voor mij te vies en te eng aanvoelde.

Gesamtanlage eindrucksvoll. Zimmer sauber und gut. Sehr schwaches WLAN (auf anderen Stockwerken sind Signalverstärker zu sehen). Zimmerservice schwach: trotz Nachfrage/Beschwerde an der Rezeption (die Damen dort sehr freundlich) wurden keine Handtücher -laut Aushang wenn auf dem Boden: Wechsel- getauscht. Zufällig konnten wir einmal frische Handtücher erhalten, als in Nachbarzimmern beim Gästewechsel Personal angesprochen wurde.

My room was cold and austere. I read some reviews that complained about this. Of course, that is the historic setting for this hotel. It was a Catholic seminary and boarding school. So cold and austere is what it was supposed to be. If you were looking for room service and a full spa, this will not be the place for you. With that said, the bed was comfortable. My room was clean. The staff was friendly. The surroundings were lovely. And there is a mystique about staying in a historic building like this. So in this case, cold and austere, created a very warm experience. I would totally stay there again.

Stedet er et gammelt sindssyge hospital mm . Og de billige værelser bære meget præg af at det. Opgang og værelserne lignede meget et hospital og det gav lidt en dårlig oplevelse af opholdet . Der kunne ha være gjordt mere for at fjerne dette udtryk. Omgivelserne var ellers fine ( det gamle kloster mm , men blev overskygget af de meget kedelig og lidt institutions agtig værelser ( de billige )

Very unique stay in an old abbey - the room was very simple, had just a sink - toilet and shower was shared. The bed was small but comfortable- for me it was the perfect stay as I just needed a simple, clean place to stay at.

Abdij Rolduc is een oude abdij omgebouwd tot hotel en conferentiecentrum. De kamer waar ik verbleef was een oude abdijkamer, dus die is aan de 'Spartaanse' kant: klein, wel met douche maar zonder toilet. Bed was heerlijk en ik heb prima geslapen. De omgeving en het gebouw zelf zijn fantastisch. Ze brouwen hun eigen bier en dat is de moeite van het drinken waard - dat kan in de prachtige brasserie op de begane grond.
Abdij Rolduc is een oude abdij omgebouwd tot hotel en conferentiecentrum. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, allerdings nur das Notwendigste ist da… keine Abstellmöglichkeit für das Gepäck und im „ Bad“ auch nicht! Kein Haarfön dafür aber Kleenex. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich.

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, die gesamte Anlage lädt zum Entschleunigen ein. Ideal für alle, die Ruhe und Geschichte schätzen – ich komme gerne wieder.

L'endroit est divin! L'accueil est très froid par le personnel. La chambre est confortable mais sans plus. Chambre un peu comme un four car très chaude et seulement un peu d'air pour rafraichir. Service sur la terrasse laisse à désirer. Toutefois, l'endroit est magnifique et vaut la déplacement.

Het gebouw is heel mooi. Binnen is het gedateerd, maar netjes. Het ontbijt is goed, Mijn kamer lag op het bedrijventerrein, dus moet je door weer en wind naar de eetzaal lopen. Bij aankomst werd mij uitgelegd waar mijn kamer was, maar ik kon hem niet vinden. Terug om te vragen of iemand mij kon wijzen, dat kon niet, nogmaals uitleg. Op mijn vraag of ik een kamer in het hoofdgebouw kon krijgen, ging men niet in. Er liep een andere gast buiten die mij kon vertellen waar mijn kamer was. Dit kan beter.
Het gebouw is heel mooi. Binnen is het gedateerd, maar netjes. Het ontbijt is goed, Mijn kamer lag op het bedrijventerrein, dus moet je door weer en wind naar de eetzaal lopen. Bij aankomst werd mij uitgelegd waar mijn kamer was, maar ik kon hem niet vinden. Terug om te vragen of iemand mij kon wijzen, dat kon niet, nogmaals uitleg. Prachtig gebouw en vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Kamers zijn netjes, de badkamer is wat gedateerd. Door de houten vloeren kan het wat gehorig zijn maar gelukkig hebben wij er geen last van gehad.

Meine schlechte Bewertung kommt vor allem von der Erfahrung, die wir nachts mit der Rezeption gemacht haben. Wir hatten zu viert nur 3 Bettdecken. Das Telefon aufm Zimmer hat nicht funktioniert und die Rezeption war generell nicht zu erreichen, also bin ich um 23:50 Uhr nochmal über den ganzen Hof deshalb zur Rezeption gelaufen. Der Mitarbeiter brauchte eine halbe Stunde, um eine weitere Decke aufzutreiben. Nach 20 min Wartezeit fing ich an mich zu ärgern und fragte ihn, wie es sein kann, dass er nicht weiß, wo die Decken sind, daraufhin machte er mir den Vorwurf, dass ich der Tagesschicht an der Rezeption hätte Bescheid sagen sollen und dass ich nicht so tun soll, als wäre es seine Schuld. Er wurde insgesamt ziemlich frech, deshalb wurde ich auch frech. Er hat dann eine Decke aufgetrieben, aber ich weiß nicht, wo die herkam, gefühlt aus einem Wäschewagen, da war auch ein Fleck drauf. Die Rezeptionistin morgens als wir uns beschwert haben war sichtlich schockiert von dem Vorfall, ich weiß nicht, ob das so Standard ist. Sonst können wir uns grundsätzlich auch nicht beschweren, die Anlage des Hotels ist von außen mega beeindruckend durch die Schlossanlage, das Frühstück war okay. Das Zimmer hatte ein bisschen eine kühle, veraltete Atmosphäre. Für eine Nacht wäre das aber alles okay gewesen. Die Bettdeckengeschichte hat es dann aber verkackt.

Don't expect any kind of luxury or comfort at this hotel/abbey. The place just felt very austere on the inside compared to the amazing surroundings and feel on the outside. We ended up leaving after the first night as it was not for us. Breakfast was quite expensive for what was on offer. The one good thing was proximity to the town center which had a good variety of bars and good restaurants. I am sure this place is fantastic for some due to its historical interest and being a UNESCO heritage site.

De abdij zelf was mooi maar de catering was niet geweldig. Bij het ontbijt was vanaf 9.15u niet alles aangevuld, het buffet is tot 10 uur open, dus zorg dat alles er tot 10 uur is. Het meubilair in de hotelkamer is aan vervanging toe, vervuilde bank, kapotte schemerlampjes, tafels met kringen, 1 oud ventilatortje, Jammer. We hebben een rondleiding geboekt,dit was perfect door de enthousiaste vrijwilliger! Op onze dag van aankomst wilden we dineren in de abdij, dit kon niet omdat het vol zat!

The hotel and the room was as expected but I have never met more rude and unprofessional staff. The restaurant was an absolute disaster - both food and drinks. The food was extremely boring and tasteless (our meat was more alive than cocked) - and the waiter was hoping to work somewhere else. We were also charged for things we never got (which could not be repaid). If you go to this place, do not visit the restaurant - neither for drinks nor food.

Bijzondere omgeving om te verblijven. De bedden lagen prima en hebben rustig kunnen slapen. Het was wel gehorig (je kon de buren horen) We hebben lekker gegeten van het ontbijt. Et le pire, le bar dans le cloitre : boites à thé vides, attente interminable pour finalement ne pas avoir le chocolat demandé et spritz imbuvable. Dommage... le petit dejeuner par contre était parfait.

How can this place have such high ratings, Pictures did not match reality. There was basically almost no blinds, so you will sleep with al lot of sun light coming in the room. No sound isolation at all, ypu will hear everyone in the halleay as well as in the yard outside. Nobtpilett in the room. Old furnitures and poorly planned. The bed was SOOOOO soft that you will garanted wake up with a sore back.

My daughter and I needed a last minute stay. We lucked out and found this hotel with the economy room. Plenty of parking when we arrived. The place is amazing to look at and experience. The staff are great. Our room was really dated, but functional. The closet and the mattress need replacing. The beds are low to the ground. A fan was provided during the heat. Windows opened to the courtyard helped with fresh air, but the noise can last until 1 to 2 am if a function is going on. Bring earplugs. Shared bathrooms are split between men and women, but some men don't read signs. We had 2 toilets and 3 showers for women on our section. 2 out of 3 showers had soap. Breakfast is a simple buffet of warm and cold food. There can be a wait for coffee as there are only 2 machines. Breakfast staff are quick on filling and cleaning up the tables. Bar area is best to go to the bar order if there is minimal staff. Grounds are beautiful even though there is some construction going on. I would love to visit again, but maybe a different room type.
