The hotel is top notch. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and an upgraded room. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The outdoor lounging areas were delightful - pool & spa area very clean and up to date. My daughter in law enjoyed a massage while there. She said it was fabulous! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay there!

The staff was terrific; property nice and room/balcony overlooking the lake nice. The indoor spa area was relaxing and unique. Breakfast was a great start to each of the four days we were there. The only thing we didn't like was double the price for the weekend nights, but I suppose that's to be expected.

My husband and I had an amazing stay here. The food was great, the staff was friendly, they offered us lots of snacks and plenty of water in our rooms, daily housekeeping, just all in all a great experience. We got married at Isola del Garda, just a 30 minute boat ride from the dock behind the hotel which was convenient. The asthetic of the property was very elegant, old money luxury. We loved the heated outdoor pool for when the sun was out, and we enjoyed the indoor spa and heated pool for when it rained. The only complaints I have is that the area isn't very walkable, and the taxis are insanely high priced. We had the hotel call us a taxi to go about 16 minutes up the street and back & paid 75€. Insane. Public transportation is the only thing that makes sense in Italy unless you're on a splurge.

Everything was excellent—the service, breakfast, and the entire experience were truly amazing! I would only suggest adding a full-length mirror in the room and improving the strength of the air conditioning. Among the restaurants, Il Pescatore was exceptional! However, I was disappointed with the tasting menu at Il Fagiano restaurant—it did not meet expectations.

The Grand Hotel Fasano is a nice hotel, with great views over the Lake and attentive staff. This was overshadowed by events. On day 5, the hotel was overwhelmed by American wedding parties – maybe 80 people. The peace of the hotel was shattered as the parties asserted their presence and demands. Other guests came 2nd as bars were overrun, the terrace hosted noisy late-night parties and the kitchen was challenged. I noted at the time that my scallops tasted odd and my trout was only just warm when served. By 11 pm I was very sick with diarrhea and vomiting all night. I suspected food poisoning. The noise from the wedding parties on the terrace below added to the misery. My wife spoke to Hotel Guest Relations -HGR. They had no sympathy, noting that it was likely a bug (but other guests spoke about being ill); the hotel had served scallops for years and they had been ‘caught out’ by the wedding parties who booked individually; their behavior could not be controlled. I remained ill. We spoke again with HGR as my condition was not being taken seriously. A doctor visiting other guests that morning, also saw me. The hotel agreed, without admission, to pay for the doctor. On leaving, HGR suggested that I ‘brought the bug to the hotel with me’, noting that the diagnosis on my prescription (confidentiality?) was ‘acute gastroenteritis’. I explained the doc could not be sure of my sickness without a blood test but the results would not be ready before we left. Unlikely to return.

The hotel agreed, without admission, to pay for the doctor. On leaving, HGR suggested that I ‘brought the bug to the hotel with me’, noting that the diagnosis on my prescription (confidentiality?) was ‘acute gastroenteritis’. I explained the doc could not be sure of my sickness without a blood test but the results would not be ready before we left. Unlikely to return.

This hotel was amazing. The rooms, the service, the view, worth every penny. The customer service is unmatched, whether it’s needing transportation, dinner recommendations, laundry service, they exceeded my expectations!

Everything was lovely, except for our 5 hour boat ride we arranged with the hotel. The boat was having engine issues and was very slow. Because of this we visited no villages and stopped only at a village for lunch. Very disappointed.

Excellent! Starting from the valet service parking my car to the water bottles and pasta we received at check-out. Beautiful scenery, forthcoming staff, great breakfast and very nicely maintained hotel. All was very great.

My husband and I had an amazing stay here. The food was great, the staff was friendly, they offered us lots of snacks and plenty of water in our rooms, daily housekeeping, just all in all a great experience. We got married at Isola del Garda, just a 30 minute boat ride from the dock behind the hotel which was convenient. The asthetic of the property was very elegant, old money luxury. We loved the heated outdoor pool for when the sun was out, and we enjoyed the indoor spa and heated pool for when it rained. The only complaints I have is that the area isn't very walkable, and the taxis are insanely high priced. We had the hotel call us a taxi to go about 16 minutes up the street and back & paid 75€. Insane. Public transportation is the only thing that makes sense in Italy unless you're on a splurge.

Everything was excellent—the service, breakfast, and the entire experience were truly amazing! I would only suggest adding a full-length mirror in the room and improving the strength of the air conditioning. Among the restaurants, Il Pescatore was exceptional! However, I was disappointed with the tasting menu at Il Fagiano restaurant—it did not meet expectations.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The property, rooms, and breathtaking views of Lake Garda truly deserve five stars. Unfortunately, the service did not. The night before my wedding, we had no hot water in the shower. Around 11 p.m. we called the front desk, and the employee who came to our room was dismissive and initially seemed to doubt us. He even checked the sink instead of the shower before realizing there was actually no hot water. We were told to either shower in another room and return to ours or pack everything and move rooms late at night. We chose to move, only to be told the next morning that we had to change rooms again because that room was already booked. This was incredibly stressful on the eve of my wedding. On my wedding day, bad weather required our boat to be replaced with a larger one that could not dock at the hotel’s pier. While this was not the hotel’s fault, the lack of assistance was. Already dressed in my wedding gown, I was simply told to go to another pier about 1 km away. No explanation, no transportation, and no support were offered. My makeup artist kindly drove me there instead. After the ceremony, the hotel again offered no assistance. I had to walk about 1 km back along the road in Garda wearing my wedding dress and high heels. During the walk, one of my Valentino shoes was damaged after hitting a stone. For a luxury five-star hotel, I expected far better service and much more care during one of the most important days of my life.
