Wij kregen een upgrade. Het was een kamer op de bovenste verdieping, wij sliepen boven. Het was heel mooi. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en professioneel, maar daar zijn wij gewend van Van der Valk hotels. De welness en fitness ruimte waren goed verzorgd. De omgeving is in de buurt van een winkelcentrum en een chocolade museum. Op loop afstand van het stadscentrum. Jammer genoeg was het zwembad gesloten omdat het een buitenbad was. Wij gingen naar Luik en hebben genoten van hun leuke kerstmarkt en naar de Kerstdorpachtig stad Spa. Het was makkelijk te doen vanaf het hotel. Al met al een super verblijf gehad. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Bedankt hotel Van der Valk Verviers. Chris en Laila.

Was woken up at 5am by a boy racer in the adjoining car park doing doughnuts for 15mins. The room was large but very poorly designed. We arrived on a Friday evening and the outside dining was excellent with music and a great vibe. The surrounding area lacked charm but we managed to find a nice coffee shop and a chocolate museum. Hotel had a swimming pool which I wished I had used but was not well advertised. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

Safe parking at the hotel (for circuit Spa guests a huge plus when traveling in own sportscar). Always great food, bar and breakfast options. Pool and fitness score is high and staff very friendly. A comfort room in duplex style provide more space and happiness :) See you soon again!

Je trouve le prix totalement déconnecté des prestations. A près de 130€ la nuit.. La chambre duplex était bruyante avec un velux dont la poignée était casée et difficile d'accès. Il y a eu la nuit du 11 novembre, un DJ sur le parking de 20h à 00h. Donc pas de place pour se garer et du bruit dans les chambres...seule réponse de la réception "Désolée nous vous laisserons faire une réclamation". Le restaurant et la partie Bar/Brasserie sont très bruyants. De plus, l'hôtel est censé être équipé d'un SPA. J'y suis allée aux heures d'ouvertures, personne à l'accueil et le SPA et le HAMMAM froids. J'ai enfin trouvé une personne pour les allumer mais le temps qu'ils arrivent à température, je devais déjà partir. J'ai du d'ailleurs enjambée une montage de poubelles pour sortir de l'espace SPA. Propreté : les poubelles de ma chambre n'ont pas été vidées des 3 jours, alors que j'avais dû y mettre de la nourriture à mon arrivée. La douche du Spa était aussi négligée. Clou du spectacle, j'ai commandé en plus de ma commande une verre d'eau du robinet. Celui-ci m'a été facturé 4.50€!...pas possible d'avoir un verre, mais une bouteille d'eau filtrée de leur eau de la ville. Une honte! En bref, ne pas y aller pour espérer vous y reposer après des journées de travail. On voit que cette hôtel veut tirer profit de tout au dépit du bien-être de leurs hôtes.

Zakelijk verblijf. Had er meer van verwacht. Kamer was niet helemaal netjes, er lagen nog etensresten in de vuilnisbak. Koffie was ook niet aangevuld. De fitness en welness waren niet open door werken. Was handig geweest om dit op voorhand te weten. Had erop gerekend om even te ontspannen na een drukke werkdag. Het restaurant was prima! Het eten was heel lekker maar het moest allemaal heel snel gaan. Toch jammer!

Very unique and funky. Staff were really nice. Room was realky clean and comfortable. I wish they did not allow smokers to stand right outside the entrance door, but that seems to be the norm throughout my trip in Europe.

Bon point : le petit-déjeuner. Pour le reste, vraiment déçu par le service proposé au regard du prix ! J’avais réservé une chambre double et ai eu le droit à une twin sans excuse ni même explications. Porte de la douche probablement cassée (ou mal pensée car on inonde le sol en prenant sa douche). Droit à une seule douche pour une seule personne (1 seul gel douche disposé dans la chambre) et serviettes de toilette de taille ridicule. Prises peu pratiques pour travailler dans la chambre. Un verre avait été cassé devant ma porte de chambre dans le couloir avant que je descende au petit déjeuner, les morceaux sont restés pendant au moins 30 à 45 minutes dans le couloir. Bref, pas la meilleure expérience en matière d’hôtellerie.

Was woken up at 5am by a boy racer in the adjoining car park doing doughnuts for 15mins. The room was large but very poorly designed. We arrived on a Friday evening and the outside dining was excellent with music and a great vibe. The surrounding area lacked charm but we managed to find a nice coffee shop and a chocolate museum. Hotel had a swimming pool which I wished I had used but was not well advertised. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

Een kamer aan de straatkant gaf lawaai met de raam open. De wifi was zo zwak van signaal dat hij niet werkte. Van de 4 Nederlandstalige kanalen werkte enkel vtm. Kamer was niet verkeerd. Bad met regendouche in. Koelkastje. Airco werkte, maar niet super. Zwembad zag er goed uit

kamer was een beetje gehorig en de airco kon iets koeler maar het terras en eten maakt alles goed en het bed sliep heerlijk. Daarnaast had de badkamer een goede regendouchekop. Van het wellness gedeelte heb ik helaas geen gebruik gemaakt

Bien placé pour le circuit SPA L’hôtel est plutôt bien mais les chambres sont un peu vieilles et le service au bar, terrasse ou a table est juste hyper lent. L'équipe est super sympa. Les tarfis sont normaux + et le petit déj est bien.

This hotel served as a transit stop whilst on a road trip. We did not appreciate how far out of town it was when we booked. Thankfully they had their outside dining option available. Our room was at the front and therefore noisy due to the restaurant/bar being below us. We also experienced “boy racers” at about 3am doing donuts in the retail car park across the road. We had not picked up that there was no air con at the hotel at the time of booking. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable.

wij waren er tijdens een conference, wat een ellende. veel te veel gasten en te weinig personeel. hierdoor liep veel zaken in de soep. geen parkeerplaats, moest bij de bioscoop neerzetten en ver lopen met de koffer, lang wachten op bediening voor een drankje (40 minuten) en het diner was onder maats en daarom veel te duur. vlees veel te gaar gebakken en koude asperges, ontbijt was goed omdat we vroeg gingen eten, zodat we de drukte voor waren. in de avond veel lawaai buiten op terras door deze gasten. die moeten ze toch echt melden op de website, we kwamen voor een rustig weekendje weg, en nu zaten we midden in een circus met allerlei mensen om ons heen. jammer van ons geld, veel te duur op deze manier

Hotelroom was nice and modern, however we had no hot water from the shower and it made a very annoying noise all day and night. We asked the hotel staff for other room options, but received none. A hotel manager checked the shower and told us that we would receive a discount on the hotel price. None of that happened. Other than that, Verviers is absolutely horrible and looks like a ghosttown. Unfriendly people, we didn't feel safe when walking outside in the evening and a lot of buidings look like ruins. Sad.

This is a big hotel and very busy. Hotel staff were very friendly, but at times very busy and waiting time (for lunch or dinner) could be annoying. Breakfast had a good variety, but a lot was missing because it was so busy. The town was not very nice and dining out you have to make sure you book for any nice restaurant.

Knapp 3 Monate vor der Buchung bat ich um Stornierung trotz nicht stornierbarem Tarif. Das Hotel hat 2 Monate gebraucht eine Antwort zu schicken um zu sagen dass es nicht geht, auch nicht teilweise. Ruf dann am Check-in Tag an um zu fragen wo ich bliebe. Ich weise erneut auf die Korrespondenz hin, man ist "very sorry" dass man so lange gebraucht hat für eine Antwort, verweist gleichzeitig darauf dass man sehr stark ausgebucht sei in dieser Zeit (24h Rennen Spa) Mit anderen Worten hätte man zum Storno Zeitpunkt (knapp 3 Monate vor dem Buchungstag) problemlos das Zimmer erneut vermieten können hätte man nur WOLLEN. Dazu 2 Monate Zeit nehmen für eine Antwort ist nicht akzeptabel. Unabhängig vom Tarif hätte man hier kulant sein können.

Bon point : le petit-déjeuner. Pour le reste, vraiment déçu par le service proposé au regard du prix ! J’avais réservé une chambre double et ai eu le droit à une twin sans excuse ni même explications. Porte de la douche probablement cassée (ou mal pensée car on inonde le sol en prenant sa douche). Droit à une seule douche pour une seule personne (1 seul gel douche disposé dans la chambre) et serviettes de toilette de taille ridicule. Prises peu pratiques pour travailler dans la chambre. Un verre avait été cassé devant ma porte de chambre dans le couloir avant que je descende au petit déjeuner, les morceaux sont restés pendant au moins 30 à 45 minutes dans le couloir. Bref, pas la meilleure expérience en matière d’hôtellerie.

To me, Verviers as a town has not much to offer but this hotel is very good and has an excellent brasserie. If one wants to dine elsewhere, the town centre is a 15 min walk away.

Parking commode et restauration sur place Accueil très aimable Chambre propre et moderne Espaces restauration toutefois bruyants surtout en période froide les terrasses étant fermées Adapté à une escale courte car la zone alentour n’offre aucune animation

Zakelijk verblijf. Had er meer van verwacht. Kamer was niet helemaal netjes, er lagen nog etensresten in de vuilnisbak. Koffie was ook niet aangevuld. De fitness en welness waren niet open door werken. Was handig geweest om dit op voorhand te weten. Had erop gerekend om even te ontspannen na een drukke werkdag. Het restaurant was prima! Het eten was heel lekker maar het moest allemaal heel snel gaan. Toch jammer!

Everything about the hotel was very high quality, enjoyed my stay there and the breakfast was superb! Would definitely stay there again, perhaps also take the kids along as the duplex rooms are very cosy yet playful, children would love it!

I stayed here when I was in Belgium in business. The hotel is lovely and spacious as was the room. The service was excellent and the food was very good too. Lovely music playing in the evenings and large windows I can leave open while I enjoy the music and vibes.

Disgusting, overpriced, and terrible service. Avoid at all costs. We paid an astronomical €4,000 (€1,000 per night) for a four-night stay, but the experience was not even worth €50. On arrival, our bed linen and pillows smelled foul. Due to chaotic, endless queues at reception the next morning, we could not report it until the evening. The receptionist was defensive, dismissive, and initially claimed nothing could be done because housekeeping had left. While two reception staff eventually changed the sheets, they had no clean pillows. The stench was so deeply embedded in the mattress headboard that removing the pillows did not help. We spent our entire stay sleeping in filth. Upon checkout, the manager promised his supervisor would email us with a resolution. It has been two weeks, and we have received absolute silence. Do not stay here, especially during peak seasons like the F1. The management simply does not care

On arrival, our bed linen and pillows smelled foul. Due to chaotic, endless queues at reception the next morning, we could not report it until the evening. The receptionist was defensive, dismissive, and initially claimed nothing could be done because housekeeping had left. While two reception staff eventually changed the sheets, they had no clean pillows. The stench was so deeply embedded in the mattress headboard that removing the pillows did not help. We spent our entire stay sleeping in filth. Upon checkout, the manager promised his supervisor would email us with a resolution. It has been two weeks, and we have received absolute silence. Do not stay here, especially during peak seasons like the F1. The management simply does not care

Venlig personale i receptionen og delvist i restauranten. Bookede hotellet for at nyde et par dage med Spa. Men det hele var under ombygning, så intet spa og masser af larm fra maskiner. Skuffende.
