The parking is offsite in a packed public multi level garage with a broken elevator and shares with the homeless. You'll have to haul your luggage down 4 flights of stairs then off to the hotel for check in. The two spots in front of the Hotel are supposedly for guests, but management doesn't enforce and makes you use the public garage. People with bad backs or any health problems should avoid this hotel. I'd post pictures if I could.

Comfortable setting. Great location downtown close to restaurants. The staff is very helpful and pleasant especially Tammy who runs the breakfast area. The only thing I did not like is the parking situation. I was able to check in easily by temporarily parking my car in the front. The parked garage is next to the Hampton Inn. They validate your ticket and parking is less. It is charged to your account when you checkout. The downfall is I was visiting a friend in Gainesville. The weekend there was the Art Fest. I was told my friend would have to pay higher fees for parking. All streets around the hotel were blocked off for the festival. My friend and I had to find a place where she could pick me up safely. We ended up eating out away from downtown.

Great hotel. Super fast and friendly check in with Julie. Room was HUGE and beds were comfy. Anything we needed or asked for was taken care of right away. Great location close to everything. Only downfall was parking not attached to hotel and no valet.

The room was big and spacious. My lotion dispenser was empty. After calling the front desk, they refilled the lotion dispenser right away. Breakfast was good the host was friendly. The elevator is a little slow.

AC filter was dirty and was very congested my whole stay. Was coughing and had a runny nose. I wanted to swim in the pool but it looked like it hadn't been clean in a long time. Floating hair and leaves were inside.

There is NO PARKING unless you pay 30.00 a night in the parking garage. There is no security so as a female I had to walk through the garage down the street passing homeless sitting on the sidewalk to check in.

The condition of the facility is not up to the standard I have found in other Hampton inns around the country. Our room was not very clean. No mention of the lack of parking was made till after I was charged. I know that it is in a city environment but….

The room was extremely clean. Julie at the front desk was absolutely magnificent, welcomed us upon arrival and was always courteous and ready to help. The only negative would be the water pressure for the sink was basically a trickle. Would definitely stay here again though

There is live music playing so loud I can hear it in my room over the TV , the staff couldn’t be any slower or careless. WOW never again . No perks to being a gold honors member. They used to give you a cookie and a water . Now they point to where the elevator. No more valet . Horrible.

The staff is very nice, the place was super clean, and was a pleasant stay. The rooms could use some updating and they only have limited tv channels. But overall was a great stay and really enjoyed being within walking distance of several restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

Because of the age of the hotel, the interior feels outdated and run down. The A/C sounds like a jet engine preparing for takeoff: clunky and loud. The bed situation was especially concerning: a coverlet with no cover. It is terrifying to think how many guests before me got cozy with it… The front desk staff has no enthusiasm for their jobs, they do the bare minimum, but to their credit, they do it well. Minimal changes to this place would make a world of difference for guests.

The front desk left the phone off the hook for 24 hours, making it impossible to get through, and the broken Wi-Fi, which they assured would be fixed soon, was never restored during my stay. This property needs a major overhaul! If you are going to charge $800 plus a night, the beds cannot be lumpy, the room cannot smell moldy, the air conditioning unit cannot be as old as my grandparents, and the comforter should not be falling apart. The A/C noise throughout the night was horrible. The furniture is all scratched.

The bed was horrible. Absolutely rock hard and way too small. If I pay for a suite—the size of the room matters but so does the size of the beds. There is plenty of room for two queens—we had doubles. Not good for two taller people. Also, the AC was horrible! It made loud popping and rattling noises allllll night and we just had to try to sleep between it. We had a huge swim meet and couldn’t ask for maintenance to come in in the middle of the night to fix it. Last thing —I had to sit on the toilet for 10 minutes while my husband had to go to front desk and get a back up roll of toilet paper!! Really??? No extra roll left in bathroom! UGH! Very disappointed in this stay.

The front manager was very monotone and unenthusiastic whenever we interacted. She also has difficulty communicating with guests in a timely manner, evidently shown when we tried to call the front desk but had to wait extremely long for her to just pick up. The location of the property is great. Close to a ton of restaurants and night spots. The staff is amazing. Kudos to the wonderful woman taking care of the breakfast. Daily she went out of her way to take care of us and make sure there was enough left for the 18 of us.

The front desk left the phone off the hook for 24 hours, making it impossible to get through, and the broken Wi-Fi, which they assured would be fixed soon, was never restored during my stay. As I was on a business trip, the lack of internet access and the inability to reach the front desk by phone forced me to visit the desk in person every time. The room was extremely clean. Julie at the front desk was absolutely magnificent, welcomed us upon arrival and was always courteous and ready to help. The only negative would be the water pressure for the sink was basically a trickle. Would definitely stay here again though

Hotel charged me 200$ more for a damage deposit than Expedia said (what you see now is what you pay), so that was a surprise. Parking was awful, and had to be validated each time you left at 22$. The fire alarm in the room beeped the whole time I was there. The ac automatically readjusted to 74 during the day and it took hours to cool down when I got back. I got caught in the rain on my walk to the hotel from the parking garage about a block away. SO MANY homeless and transients crawling the streets, hooting and hollering, were all over the place hitting me up for money the entire walk from the parking garage to the hotel. Ladies, don’t check in by yourself after dark. The stairwell from the garage to the hotel smelled like complete urine from the vagrants loitering. Absolutely do not recommend for business trip or pleasure.

The front manager was very monotone and unenthusiastic whenever we interacted. She also has difficulty communicating with guests in a timely manner, evidently shown when we tried to call the front desk but had to wait extremely long for her to just pick up. Hotel-wise, they didn’t have any slippers even when requested. The breakfast was also only mediocre at best. Nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either. All in all, it was a very average experience.

Really enjoyed staying here; what a delightful hotel! Pleasant, friendly staff always willing to help. Gave me the exact room I requested. The hotel is close to many fine restaurants such as Mark Prime , and fun bars too. Breakfast is a wonderful free buffet. Rooms are spacious and gorgeous. The price is very reasonable for such a deluxe hotel.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay here. However, on the weekends it tends to get a bit noisy. Don’t recommend for babies or kids that wake up easily. Needs some renovation work. Food was amazing and the lady in the breakfast area was amazing. Will definitely be back.

The location of the property is great. Close to a ton of restaurants and night spots. The staff is amazing. Kudos to the wonderful woman taking care of the breakfast. Daily she went out of her way to take care of us and make sure there was enough left for the 18 of us.

Comfortable setting. Great location downtown close to restaurants. The staff is very helpful and pleasant especially Tammy who runs the breakfast area. The only thing I did not like is the parking situation. I was able to check in easily by temporarily parking my car in the front. The parked garage is next to the Hampton Inn. They validate your ticket and parking is less. It is charged to your account when you checkout. The downfall is I was visiting a friend in Gainesville. The weekend there was the Art Fest. I was told my friend would have to pay higher fees for parking. All streets around the hotel were blocked off for the festival. My friend and I had to find a place where she could pick me up safely. We ended up eating out away from downtown.

I never could get my digital key even though the desk attendant said she could make it work. No welcome gift, which we usually get. Luckily we were there on a weekend because parking is pricey. The mattress was horrible and needs to be replaced immediately. The breakfast was excellent and the employee very nice and helpful. It was also very quiet which is a plus,

Was very impressed with this hotel. Easy check in. The rooms were very clean and it was nicely decorated. Even the bathroom was beautiful and updated. Loved the way everything was in easy walking distance and you have to check out Harry's across the street, great bar and killer seafood. Came here for new years eve and couldnt be happier with the low prices, clean room and excellent service.

I’m 50 years old and have stayed in all kinds of hotels and motels. I usually stay at the dumpy Red Roof across town where everything is fine, nothing special. I decided I wanted a little better accommodations since I was going to be moving in two kids this week. But after these two nights, I won’t be doing that again.
