Overall the experience is pretty decent. Breakfast options are a little better than average, the rooms were very clean however the tv on max was as loud as a whisper, the beds can be a bit rough for longer than 5 hours, the indoor pool was a nice touch it just probably needed to be cleaned a bit better. Service quality was great. For a small town its pretty good

When we checked in, the clerk seemed very disorganized and the keys were spread all over the desk. She was accommodating in changing our room from a he first floor to the third, but the room we got was dirty with dead bugs on the floor and splatters on the bathroom mirror, along with a brown smudge on the bathroom light switch plate. Luckily I travel with Lysol wipes, and cleaned all the light switch plates. The alarm was set on the clock in the room also which went off at 7:15am scaring us all to death, as we didn’t set an alarm. The indoor pool was a nice addition for my children, but the surrounding area of the pool was littered with trash and dirty wet towels, with only two clean ones to use. My kids also enjoyed the make your own waffle machine at the morning breakfast, in the shape of Texas no less!

The bedside light in the first room was burned out and instead of changing the bulb, they moved us to another room. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly and the sink stayed full of water for several minutes. The elevator was out on the last day, and we were on the third floor. Back and forth for coffee, leaving with luggage and a dog was a little inconvenient.

Parking was limited. Also my paperwork said checkout was at 12pm, but the rooms said checkout was at 11am. This would’ve not been a big deal, except house keeping started knocking and trying to enter the room at 8am. Them we got another knock at 9, and then 10. We checked in at 4am, so overall we hardly got any sleep. Would not recommend if you’re hoping to get a good nights rest.

The property was great. The hot water went out Saturday morning for a couple hours, but being a hotel GM myself I was extremely patient and hot water returned after a couple hours. The staff did not fold under pressure of all the guest calling about the water. Tremendous job and I will be staying here again.

Stay there every year for Thanksgiving.The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast isn’t great, but it’s free so can’t really complain about that. Will absolutely stay there next year.

This hotel smelled like mildew so bad. The moment you got off the elevator on the second floor that's all we smelled. Our room was terrible. I didn't ask to swap rooms because in my experience it didn't make a difference. I let the front desk know, I would caution you to stay somebody else until they address this issue

The rooms has trash left on the floor in room 215 and dirty wash rags left in the restroom in room 208 l. Room 215 has a terrible moldy stale water smell the entire time. The sheets in room 208 has stains on the pillow cases and in room 215 there were stains on the sheets on the bed close to the window completely disgusting! And the pillows were not pillows at all they were like sacks with a little bit of stuffing and when we asked for more they had none. I am pissed and completely disgusted with this hotel

The room we were given was very damp feeling all night long, making for a difficult time of sleeping. There was a large area of the carpet that was either dirty or heavily stained. Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about.

The building exterior was in good condition (other than landscaping/flower beds). Lobby was non-descript. Evening counter reception guy was... "ok". First thing I noticed was that hallways and several details appeared to be quite neglected in the cleaning department. Quite a few suspicious "spots" on hallway carpet (3rd floor) - not sure if vomit or incompletely cleaned up dog poo. In general - hallway carpet in need of a real cleaning. In my room - generally it was mostly clean - though it didn\'t look like it had been completely vacuumed in a while. The bathroom sink faucet had not been cleaned since last guest - not sure if it was spit out toothpaste or "something else". While this facility is suppose to be 100% no-smoking, When I first opened the door to the bathroom in my room (room 309), i was about knocked down by the smell of cigarette smoke. When I went back downstairs to go get supper, I said something to the night guy at the counter - and he seemed ambivalent - even puzzled why it mattered. I mentioned that I didn\'t want to be accused of smoking in the bathroom (and even charged for it). He seemed confused by this... Bed was reasonably comfortable. Shower worked fine. Also noticed something when getting ice - the handle to open the room where ice machine is located... was quite concerning - as it appear to have either bloody/snot residue or something else equally unpleasant on it and down the door. Not sure I will stay at this location again.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The only negative is that apparently when power flashes off it set the alarm clock to go off at 6am. Wish more hotels would have smart tvs in their rooms so travelers can access their own entertainment

Nice big room, but I don’t understand why a nice hotel like this has no freezer compartment in the refrigerators when their much less fancy competitors have freezer compartments. I need the freezer to re-freeze my blue ice overnight.

Air conditioner cooled the room well. The bed was comfortable, the curtains kept outside light from entering the room. Traffic slowed and quieted outside as the night progressed. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable, only one type (feather?) was on the bed. The door to the room had a large gap at the bottom which flooded the otherwise dark room with light from the hall all night long. The rug looked like it needed a good steam cleaning.

Air conditioner cooled the room well. The bed was comfortable, the curtains kept outside light from entering the room. Traffic slowed and quieted outside as the night progressed. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable, only one type (feather?) was on the bed. The door to the room had a large gap at the bottom which flooded the otherwise dark room with light from the hall all night long. The rug looked like it needed a good steam cleaning.

Stay there every year for Thanksgiving.The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast isn’t great, but it’s free so can’t really complain about that. Will absolutely stay there next year.

The staff was so very personable and friendly. They found out our trip was to be with family as one of our loved ones was passing away and they all made it a point to check on us every time they saw us.

Horrible experience with the desk attendant. We came later in the day and the lady gave us the most “you’re an inconvenience to me” look while she was on the phone with someone else. Was very bluntly rude and passive aggressive the whole time to my wife. Unfortunately we didn’t get a name because she had it hidden behind her jacket. Highly disappointed considering I always stay at La Quinta when going on all my trips and I’ve never been so rudely treated. Other than the poor staff our room was quite nice, minus some of the lights not working and the tv was crooked but that just bothered my OCD.

This is my second time staying here. First time was horrible and the staff were extremely rude. This time was great. Easy check in and the lady at the desk was amazing (can’t remember her name but has a rose hand tat) 10/10 she was kind, welcoming and very helpful

Every floor smelled wonderful like a burning firewood even the stairwell. You can tell this staff really loves this hotel. I had to remodel a Dollar general right beside them and they were nothing but accommodating to me as well as my teams. We are in the Lufkin area a good bit remodeling stores. We will definitely stop here every time.

The handle on the toilet in our room was broken. They had maintenance knocking on our door at 8:30 AM wanting to fix it, which woke us up. The person at the counter when we checked in was rude and inappropriate.

I checked in late and told them I had a 8 pound dog. Attended said she would waive it. When I left they charged a 25$ fee on my card without notifying me. Poor customer service

We had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately the breakfast menu was quite disappointing as no eggs were available. I am not a cereal guy. Nor am I a pancake or busquit guy. Breakfast barley acceptable!

Overall the experience is pretty decent. Breakfast options are a little better than average, the rooms were very clean however the tv on max was as loud as a whisper, the beds can be a bit rough for longer than 5 hours, the indoor pool was a nice touch it just probably needed to be cleaned a bit better. Service quality was great. For a small town its pretty good

Our stay here was absolutely horrible! We were only in the room a few hours due to the family reunion activities and thank goodness for that! We booked a room with double beds because I had my grandson with us and he wasn’t even able to sleep in his bed!! We all had to cram in one and sleep on top of the cover because his bed had a stain that appeared to be old blood or food of some sort. There was also hair everywhere! The carpet was dark colored but soiled so badly that the stains showed through. I’ll attach pictures below. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom. It was so filthy that I had to wear my shoes in the shower and I was reluctant to even do that. Once we got back from the reunion and I took a look around I started to sleep in my car. I can’t believe that we spent $211 for a place so deplorable. In my opinion they need to tear it down and start all over again from the ground up. I should have known to walk away once we walked into the lobby and I got a whiff of the old water smell.. but I figured with the top few reviews being so good the rooms had to be nice. Boy, was I wrong! Those people were obviously paid to leave a good review or it was an inside job to boost sales. There is absolutely no chance that they stayed in the same place that I did and left a review like that. I would not recommend this place at all!!! If you’re considering staying in Jacksonville try Holiday Inn. Some of the family stayed there and it was well kept.
