Absolutely a great place and a hidden gem. Friendly staff, super clean, great food and drinks, and a perfect location. Stow is such a great spot and the hotel was a perfect fit for our travels.

Very quaint property that was very clean with friendly staff. I appreciated the little details to make my dog feel welcome as well - water bowl, dog bed, and treats ready for the stay! The bar was convenient for a relaxing drink in the back patio area. It's centrally located in Stow-on-the-Wold and right by the bus stop. I was able to easily take the local bus to neighboring towns for exploring and getting to the train station. It was a wonderful stay for my first time, and I will definitely be back!

Wonderful and helpful staff. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. The bar and dining area were very charming and elegant. This place is glorious! The room fantastic, the food amazing and Stow on the Wold is a gorgeous little place. A wonderful few days!

Such a quaint and pretty property! Very nice staff and great location with free parking. We used this hotel as our base for a few of the beautiful Cotswold villages.

The Old Stocks Inn was a nice place to stay in a busy Cotswolds Village. We enjoyed ourselves staying here, but as the hotel is in a very historic building, the space we found were small. We stayed in Room 12, top floor, and as a 6", 200 lbs man, I had to duck multiple times just to reach the bed from the door. The WC, was tiny, with my knees almost touching the door, when I sat. The bathtub, which we loved, is in the middle of the room, so that took some getting use to. We did enjoy the large back patio for drinks in the afternoon, and coffee was good in the mornings. So, that being said, we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was warm and engaging. Wanted us to have a good experience. Room was spotless, with fresh milk in the fridge for our coffee. The restaurant on site was delicious. The main course we had was 5 Start. Location- could not be beat.

This property was immaculate! As someone who travels quite frequently using Expedia, I've had terrible experiences but this was far from that. A family owned hotel with great service and rooms!

It was beautifully laid out and modern. We really liked the design of the room. It was in a great location n made a great first impression. Staff was super friendly and awesome. The rain shower in the bathroom was broken. We did not complain since the other shower head worked. We somehow found the hiking instructions to lower slaughter pretty confusing. Breakfast was delicious but took a long time. The toasts were served way before the hot plate n we noticed we were in the breakfast room for 1.5 hours. Despite the small glitches it was still a lovely stay.

The room was very warm. Windows opened led to hearing the conversations from those sitting at the tables in front of the inn. The bathroom was very warm and it did not help that the towel warmer was running. It made the bathroom steamy and uncomfortable. The water in the shower was somewhat oily. You did not come out feeling clean.

This place is cozy and perfectly situated in a beautiful old town. The linens are so soft and the bed comfortable, although a British King (US Queen). Also our room only had one small window, so beware when traveling in the summer as there is no a/c.

The room, on the upper level, was fantastic. We had a great view and all the amenities we needed. Was a very romantic getaway for us, and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in some quality time together with your mate.

Heated towel rack in bathroom was placed in such a way it was difficult to keep from touching it. I burned myself twice. There should be a way to turn off the towel rack. Otherwise everything else was great.

Best place for our UK trip. Staff were wonderful. Easy checkin. Carried our bags up to our room. Room was nice with a small sitting area. Good bed (hard pillows were the only negative). Breakfast options were great. Definitely recommend

The staff were very friendly and were beyond helpful. After flying in early in the morning they were very accomodating in getting us into our room early. The room was wonderful and great care has been taken to keep the room clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice property in the heart of the square. A little disappointed in the customer service, staff were all polite but not very friendly in comparison to other places we have stayed whilst travelling in the UK. A little overpriced in our opinion.

This place is awesome! We traveled here with our infant and had the best experience. The staff here is top notch. So friendly and helpful. The food was excellent as well.

The location was very convenient and walkable for the town and also for exploring the rest of the Cotswolds. I would stay here again and would highly recommend the Old Stocks Inn to others.

We had an amazing stay. Room was stunning, staff were warm and welcoming and hotel was in a perfect location. Breakfast was fab too. Will definitely return.

A lovely stay. Richard and all the hotel and restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Rooms were excellent, as was the food. Centrally located in the main square of Stow, and a good base for exploring the Cotswolds.

It was beautifully laid out and modern. We really liked the design of the room. It was in a great location n made a great first impression. Staff was super friendly and awesome. The rain shower in the bathroom was broken. We did not complain since the other shower head worked. We somehow found the hiking instructions to lower slaughter pretty confusing. Breakfast was delicious but took a long time. The toasts were served way before the hot plate n we noticed we were in the breakfast room for 1.5 hours. Despite the small glitches it was still a lovely stay.

Staff was warm and engaging. Wanted us to have a good experience. Room was spotless, with fresh milk in the fridge for our coffee. The restaurant on site was delicious. The main course we had was 5 Start. Location- could not be beat.

Best place for our UK trip. Staff were wonderful. Easy checkin. Carried our bags up to our room. Room was nice with a small sitting area. Good bed (hard pillows were the only negative). Breakfast options were great. Definitely recommend

The property is nice but it is really a restaurant with some bedrooms. The staff at all touch points (check in, requests for help, etc) were not terribly friendly or knowledgeable- especially when it wasn’t “business hours.” We were also put in a room that has no business being booked out during warm months. I grew up in house that was over 200 years old so I am very familiar with the challenges of no AC and heat rising and the solutions available to you. We were on the third floor and the room measured in at 96 degrees the first night and didn’t drop below 85 for the entirety of the night even with cooler overnight temperatures. The first two floors of the building were markedly cooler. The two rooms on the top floor really should not be rented out when temps rise above 70 degrees Fahrenheit if they’re not going to invest in proper cooling technologies (and yes, they exist for listed buildings).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Perfectly located in the central market with a nice outdoor terrace. Justine was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful with our baby, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! Highly recommend!

We spent four wonderful nights here and were absolutely delighted. The room, although on the smaller side, was absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was decorated with so much taste! Parking was a breeze, as it’s incredibly easy to park right at the front door—a huge plus for this area. A couple of small things to note: the room was extremely warm, which was surprising for late April. I can’t imagine how hot it might get during an intense summer day! Also, while the staff were very friendly and pleasant, we did ask for some extra hangers that never arrived (it seemed they might have run out). Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it for its charm and convenience!
