We were very disappointed with the stay at this Best Western. Upon arrival, we were informed by a very short tempered employee that, "The elevator is broken and we do not have any first floor rooms. ID and credit card please." As we were there for a tournament, we had a decent amount of equipment and ice chests to haul up 3 flights of stairs. The lack of care or concern for the guest was marked. The room was as expected with the exception of sheets that were either stained or soiled. We were only staying one night, but should we be staying longer, we were informed that we were to leave trash outside our door for collection. Things that impacted our stay, but are not within the hotel's control: The alarm clock was still set from previous guests. I typically unplug the alarm clock, but it was providing a charing source for devices. However, when the room was turned over for the next guest, the alarm was not deactivated and it sounded at 5:30am. Second, the hotel is very aged. Remodels were attempted, and many look nice, but the walls are still thin and the trains that travel through the town all night will, most likely, keep light to moderate sleepers awake. A few Pros- The breakfast was nice to have fresh made waffles. The coffee was actually good as well. Rooms have a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and a decent TV line up. The aircon has an option for the fan to stay running for those that like the white noise.

We found this Hotel in Franklin, Texas met all of our needs. The location near 2 gas stations, a grocery store and not far from TAMU was perfect. The breakfast was excellent- hot eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, yoghurt, coffee and orange juice. The front desk staff helped my son print out forms we needed. They helped find the local dmv office and make an appointment. The pool was refreshing after a long drive. The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. We will be back.
