For the most part this was a good hotel, our room was spotlessly clean, had an issue when we arrived with our first room, they were very accommodating and moved us to a new room (which I think was an upgrade). Was a decent stay with comfy beds etc, and decent amenities in the rooms. It does feel like it could do with a refurb though, looking tired in a few places. We didn’t use any of the restaurant facilities, but on the way out we were accused of racking up a bill in the restaurant. Which reception didn’t seem to believe was a mistake.

First impression was worn out star carpet but then walked on excellent carpet in corridors. Bedroom spacious and well equipped but chair with plain wooden seat not very comfotable. Bathroom very good but the 'stylish' basin taps handles are nearly round, making them difficult for older/weaker hands. No lift.

The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime.

Reception staff excellent and helpful. Room spotless with nice view. The only thing missing was some heating in the bar area and dining area which may explain the lack of use

Nice room on the ground floor, although large window looked directly out onto a busy carpark, meaning everyone could see inside the room - perhaps some shades would help. Wi-Fi a bit iffy. Staff very nice and and meal in the evening was excellent.
