Accommodation very good with nice touches, good range of teas coffee, biscuits in room Booking the pool great idea makes it less busy. Food at Moness was great and staff very accommodating, catering for gluten free also.

Love Moness, its a great place for a relaxing time away. There is a small kids play area that could do with a few extra items and the pool was a little cool this time but that aside we will definitely be back.

Hotel, grounds and location were very good. Unfortunately the spa facilities were a let down. Pool are was cold and unsuitble for relaxing. Steam room was cool and sauna had draft coming in. Other residents hogging the hot tub and not vacating it during cleaning cycle.

Great scenic location with plenty walking routes nearby. Food average and drinks list expensive. Pool opening hours restrictive kids can’t swim until after 9am.

Great comfy rooms with lots of nice touches like water, Arran toiletries and local made shortbread. Bed was so comfy. Pool area was nice. Easy to park and staff very friendly. Great location with lovely walk into Aberfeldy down by the river. So many attractions close by and a great base for exploring. Breakfast tasty and good selection of continental items on top of the cooked breakfast.

We were attracted to booking this cottage at Moness Resort due to the featured use of the swimming pool and spa, which advertised steam room, sauna and jacuzzi being included in the deal. However we were very disappointed on arrival to find that the Sauna and Jacuzzi were both out of order and the temperature in the pool was very uncomfortably cold. To top it all up the showers were also cold with no hot showers available. (We had to go back to the cottage to get a hot shower). We did complain, but were told that we were not entitled to any compensation as the facilities were complimentary. We believe that it should be stated that only the steam room is properly working. We were told that the water temperature was within the guidelines and that it was checked daily and hand written on a board. I have used many pools and spas and never have any of them been as cold as this. There were another couple of people in the pool, who 100% agreed with me. I think it would be unsafe for children to stay in this temperature for long. We met with a local at a nearby restaurant, who told us that they had heard people often complaining about the temperature of the pool. It is such a shame, as this area is so beautiful and the pool and spa could be wonderful if kept properly maintained.

Very nice place to stay. The pool is not large but big enough to do some swimming. The rooms were great as was the food. The only downside was a lack of air con and so if it’s very hot I might look elsewhere

Stayed in one of the cottages with my brother for a hill walking trip. Ideal for us but the carpet could do with a clean, apart from that everything was ideal. Twin beds ok. Cottage was nice and warm as was Baltic outside. Shower was a bit varied in heat but bearable.

Nice place but poorly maintained. On site food was not good and neither was the service. Room wasnt very clean on arrival and the house keeping (although friendly) did little more than make the beds and replenish consumables

We liked the doggy treat pack, the locaction, grounds, quietness and swimming pool. The cottage was dated and wasnt very clean. Considering we paid an extra £50 for a dog friendly cottage, our dogs found a raw hide treat under one of the sofas as soon as we arrived. There was dirty cutlery in the drawers. It was all a bit grubby. We have stayed in lots of dog friendly accommodation over the past 8 yeads and this was poor.

Great hotel, very quiet away from traffic. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and serviced every day. The weather was superb while we were there but if it had been raining we'd have required an umbrella as it's an outside walk to the dining room.

Good sized cottage, all basics provided. But decor in bad need of updating, cupboard were falling apart, carpet beyond dirty and bed so uncomfortable we considered leaving early.

Lovely and quiet. Good breakfast, overnight oats on a buffet a great idea. Bed was a little old and saggy but room was lovely and huge bath and very powerful shower were a delight.

Nice hotel, lovely room and the staff were pleasant and attentive but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again on business as the room contained an emergency exit light which kept me awake most of the night, these are usually found in corridors not in rooms, also breakfast service is started too late for a business traveller at 8am instead of 7am and the check out was also too slow which caused me to be late for work.

We were staying here while going to the international eventing at Scone. All of our family thourally enjoyed our stay. We arrived quite late but this was no problem for reception. The only slightly negative thing was the bed settee was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. We will be going back as a family.

Really enjoyed my one night stay. It was very quiet, which was lovely but I booked a table in the bar and the bar was closed. No notification of this had to ask in the dining room to get a table. It was a shame as it was such a lovely night so would have liked have dat outside the bar for dinner. Can’t really complain as food was lovely . If I’m being picky, only one (of three) shower(s) working in the women’s changing room at pool and shower in room wasn’t great. Still had a lovely night.

Sixth or seventh visit to Moness. As per all other trips we really enjoyed our stay, until check out. We were told at check out that we had to pay £25 due to the fact we had our dog with us. At no point was thus raised by Expedia or the resort in their confirmation email or check in process. When I asked why we weren’t informed there was no coherent answer, just some mention of Expedia T&C’s. At no point did Expedia highlight this. The cottage we stayed in was dog friendly, in fact we have stayed in it on an earlier visit. Why they would seek to charge extra for a dog to stay in a dog friendly cottage is beyond me. Checking out at the end of a holiday is surely an opportunity for the resort to engage with the client and hopefully make the guest want to return? The handling of this situation was poor and the staff simply could not provide detail as to why the charge was not communicated to before the holiday and indeed on check in. With this level of service we will find it very difficult to return.

Everything was perfect for us. We used the leisure facilities all clean and well maintained. Staff at reception / bar / restaurant / domestics very helpful, professional and courteous. We will be back. Thanks for a great short stay!

Lovely homely room, biggest bath we've ever had in a hotel and lovely big shower with great water pressure. Pool and steam room were great and breakfast was decent. Hotel is showing its age a little and the service at breakfast was quite slow. However, the server was on their own for a whole dining room; I'm sure with full staff it would be much quicker.

Nice resort on outskirts of Aberfeldy, within walking distance of town. We had a suite which was good, great size, and Lovely bath. Prices not bad or good. The resort has numerous self catering houses,pool, putting green and connect 4 game. Overall good.

Very comfortable. The area is lovely and peaceful. I would suggest to not rely on the satnav to guide you. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Beautiful setting. Hotel has been modernised internally and the large spacious bedroom was well presented and clean. The bathroom was ginormous and the large Victorian style bath very welcoming after a day on the hills. The pool area was excellent and barely used during our visit. Can thoroughly recommend and we intend to return.

Great comfy rooms with lots of nice touches like water, Arran toiletries and local made shortbread. Bed was so comfy. Pool area was nice. Easy to park and staff very friendly. Great location with lovely walk into Aberfeldy down by the river. So many attractions close by and a great base for exploring. Breakfast tasty and good selection of continental items on top of the cooked breakfast.

Fantastic location for visiting Perthshire. So many nice walks and added attraction of watching beavers in the river near the golf course. Hotel rooms spacious, food delicious, staff really friendly.

Fabulous hotel set in beautiful large wooded grounds. Secluded and peaceful. Both apartment's booked were huge,(ground floor) Large comfortable bed. Big bathroom. We did make use the hotel swimming pool with our 2yr old granddaughter. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff in particular (Fabulous breakfast by the way). Would have no hesitation staying at Moness Resort again. In our 7 day road trip of Scotland, this was our favourite stop-over.

Great hotel, very quiet away from traffic. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and serviced every day. The weather was superb while we were there but if it had been raining we'd have required an umbrella as it's an outside walk to the dining room.

Really enjoyed my one night stay. It was very quiet, which was lovely but I booked a table in the bar and the bar was closed. No notification of this had to ask in the dining room to get a table. It was a shame as it was such a lovely night so would have liked have dat outside the bar for dinner. Can’t really complain as food was lovely . If I’m being picky, only one (of three) shower(s) working in the women’s changing room at pool and shower in room wasn’t great. Still had a lovely night.

Spa facilities, hot tub broken, steam room broken, sauna working but a big wooden panel broken and hanging off the wall and the pool, too crowded. Dinner at their restaurant, the food was ok. The menu was very limited so we ended up getting 5 starters to make a tapas style meal. Bedroom, bed was very old. As soon as you sat on it you were hitting the hard base. The bathroom, very clean but very dated. Beautiful stand alone Victorian style bath ruined by rust around the plug hole and various other spots. Would not recommend, sorry Moness.

Staff were very friendly. Good location for visiting the local area. Room was large. Breakfast was average. Shame bookings had to be made to use the pool. Restaurant had very limited hours so we ate in the town instead

Always like Moness, the outside area is always lovely. The bar, pool and our room was first class. However breakfast was just ok. Nothing special. It wouldn't pur me off going back. 🙂

Lovely homely room, biggest bath we've ever had in a hotel and lovely big shower with great water pressure. Pool and steam room were great and breakfast was decent. Hotel is showing its age a little and the service at breakfast was quite slow. However, the server was on their own for a whole dining room; I'm sure with full staff it would be much quicker.

A lovely stay but the whole resort could do with a bit of injection of life. Lots of potential. A bit disappointed that the bar shut at 11pm on a Saturday night when we were away with a group and were looking to stay up and enjoy each other’s company. To make matters worse when we continued playing cards quietly, the night porter also said that he was shutting the seating area at around 1. So we had to finish up. Such a shame.

Cottage is a bit run down could do with a bit modernisation. Soft was old and uncomfortable to sit on. Bed was also uncomfortable. I’ve been going to moness for years. Asked for a cottage where we can sit outside but unfortunately request wasn’t granted.🙁

Passing through Aberfeldy on our way to Glencoe, lovely town hosting the Aberfeldy Distillery and an absolutely stunning landscape of the tip of Loch Tay… Resort rooms are surprisingly large, breakfast, dining and bar were very good and all the hotel staff were extremely welcoming.

Fantastic location. Loved our stay here. Staff were welcoming, friendly & most helpful. Our room was clean, well equipped & quiet. Enjoyed using the leisure facilities. Breakfast was very good & cooked to order. Will definitely come back.
