Check in closes at 7 not 10. Arrived 715, took 2 calls and 10 minutes to get someone to check me in. Put card for deposit, approved transaction. Lady behind the counter says it didn’t go through, “show me you bank account to prove it, or I can charge your card again” Unreasonable ask, said so, showed the transaction on my bank account, and she accused me of being aggressive and threatening her. Called her manager, lied about our interaction and said she doesn’t want to rent a room to me because I make her feel unsafe. Leaves. I speak to the manager who asks me if I want a room key or cancel the reservation. I said all Ive wanted for the last 20 minutes was to get into my room, but the night manager has zero customer service skills and can’t tell the difference between frustration and aggression and unnecessarily escalated a call Talked to a couple other residents who said the staff there are difficult. In the room was cleaning products left behind by maids. No wastebasket, and a 4’ wall mirror unattached leaning against the wall.

Great staff. Madison was a great help as usual. Gave me a great room. This is my second time coming here and it was convenient for me.

I arrived at birch hill hotel I-55 Frontage Road Jackson Ms; I just got discharged from the hospital; I booked my reservation 10/3/2026 and I requested to be on the front downstairs; when I called the hotel to check on my reservation concerning my room; I was told that they wasn’t sure whether I would have a room on the front; so once I got discharged from the hospital I went straight to birch hill) I was put on the back downstairs) once I got in the room; there was no chair to sit in and the room was infested with dead crickets and spiders webs; I should have been refunded; it was so noisy on the back; people’s cursing and saying all unclean things right outside my door; no one from the office had the decency to come and ask them to be quiet and respect others that was there; this lasted for hours; very unprofessional; this vulgar indecency lasted until after 2:00 AM)(I would like a refund; I checked in 10/7/2026 and I checked out 10/10/2026)either this hotel need to shut down or give unsatisfied customers their money back;
