Mountain View Inn Irvine Near Richmond KY

Was close to the activity I was there for, clean, was stay here again.

The hotel was OK. Did not have hot water one day. Room was comfortable AC worked. Looks like it had been repainted by amateurs. Paint drips on the floor and poor patch jobs in shower.

Most compatible beds! Great location!

The staff was friendly and professional. The room however was in poor condition. The a/c unit fan makes a loud rubbing sound like the bearing is bad. There was a very noticeable smoke smell even though the room was non-smoking. The paint on the walls was flat white, but they used gloss white to cover holes and stains so it looked blotchy. There was no coffee maker, ice bucket, blow dryer or anywhere to hang clothing. There was a hole above the shower faucet where water was getting into the wall. The counter in the bathroom looked like someone had cut stuff up with a knife on it. The chair at the desk had something light brown on the front of the seat, so I bought wipes and cleaned whatever it was off. The sheets were thread-bare in spots and needed to be replaced. The beds were pretty clean and there were no bugs, but it was hard to get to sleep because of the fan noise and the lack of solar backing on the curtains. The curtains were barely more than sheer and if the light was on inside you could see into the room at night. The pictures on the website have got to be from a different hotel, because the room I had was not nearly as nice. There wasn't even a bedspread. If you are going to claim that the rooms are renovated you should actually renovate them. The room was a place to sleep and keep my clothes and it is the only place in town. If I have to stay in the area again I'll stay in a nearby town with better options.

Nothing unique about it. The bathroom door wobbled because it did not have a solid core and the frame did not seem to be real wood. It was dirty and screwed together on the outside. The shower head only had four out of six nozzles worked and you could not adjust the spray from one setting to another. The room was not cleaned while we were gone, although the manager did come change the sheets and bring fresh towels when we told him about it. One of the two sets of stairs leading to the second floor and a broken step with just a orange cone on it, and only 1 bolt holding it together on one side. Neither set of stairs had safety strips on the metal steps. The refrigerator was loud and the freezer had ice cream in it that had never been cleaned up. The floors were uneven and almost all the furniture had to have cardboard under at least one edge to make them level. You could also feel a hole underneath the laminate floor that was also starting to come up in places. The windows had bad seals because one side was fogged up all the time. The top safety lock on the entrance door was broken although the turn lack and digital lock did function properly. The paint on the walls was sloppy. There were places in the walls where you could tell someone had dented them.but not fix them and just painted over the. The Kleenex dispenser had a rusted metal plate over it and Tommy written on it in red marker. The toilet paper holder had profanity on it. Don't stay there.
