The elevator stops slightly below the ground floor--so if you're on it, after it stops you have to push the "1" button again so it will move up a few inches so the door will open. If you're outside waiting, the light goes off but the door won't open (because it's too low) so you have to push the button again. When we mentioned it to an employee they indicated the owner is too cheap to fix it--as they have had elevator problems in the past. Stating they went 6 weeks without elevator. I'D NOT STAY with no elevtor!

The room needed to be vacuumed. There were stains on the nice white comforter/ bed spread. Bed was comfortable, pillow not great but I bring my own. Pool was locked but it was too cold to swim. Elevator broke, people on 3rd floor were pretty mad.

It was clean with a few areas needing attention but there was renovations being made. Key card had to be reprogrammed a couple of times. Elevator went down for maybe an hour in the AM. Staff was courteous, friendly and accommodating.

Upon arriving we find the pool full of algae and hot tub dirty and not working and to top it off the room had extreme mold smells. I have called numerous times to get a discount of some sort due to calling ahead of time to ensure they had a pool and hot tub and was told yes before staying at this location. The staff on the phone when I called to discuss the conditions of the hotel with the manager were nice and actually acknowledged that they knew that had a problem however after several phones calls and being told I would receive a discount I have yet to have a manager approve a discount for the conditions of this hotel so to me at this point it should be a full refund!!!!!!

The room I booked was perfect except the tv was broken. We gad to move to another room and that tv worked, but it was 5 times smaller than the original. The carpet was wet all the way through and the elevator was past due on inspection and rocky at best.

Pool was closed but this was not disclosed ahead of time. That was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. And the elevator was also being worked on. Basically, the place needs better management. Will not stay there on my next visit. My grandchildren were disappointed they could not swim.

This property is gorgeous on the outside, but the inside everywhere you go is just filthy. The hotel needs a deep cleaning. The walls and carpet need freshening. The mold on the ceiling of my room needed to be fixed. The room’s furniture had nasty stains and you could smell weed in the hall. Just a very rundown hotel despite the possibility of being an amazing establishment.

I stayed at this hotel earlier this year and didn’t have a single complaint however, my family just left there and I will not be staying there again. I don’t know if it’s a new thing but they are now considered pet friendly which I did not know. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with that wet dog smell. It was worse in our room. We stayed two nights and the odor was so strong that we immediately had to wash everything after a 12 hour trip back home at 10pm! We don’t have dogs but have stayed with friends that do and never had this problem. We saw a total of five different large breed dogs while they we were there so I can only imagine how many dogs come in and out of there.

After a long drive, we finally got to the hotel. Got into our room and you can tell it was not cleaned and beds just made. There was coffee in the sink, a drink still in the fridge. Hair and dirt on the floor. Went down to get another room and they only had 1 left(which door wouldn't open so clerk had to use an actual key to open our door) and only a king. Brought us a cot for our third guest but the sheets were dirty on it. Just slept on the couch which was terrible. Room smells like smoke, AC doesn't work well. Pillows are hard as a rock and so soft it's like laying your head directly on the bed, there is no in between. If it wasn't midnight when we finally were able to get settled we would've just taken the loss on the room and go somewhere else but we were exhausted.

This was our worse stay at any hotel in the US, Europe and Asia. Assigned the handicap accessible room where the whole bathroom floor flooded when showering, there was blood on the sheet and bed spread, the bedding smelled, the mattress sagged, the room was dirty, the hair dryer was pulled from the wall, the walls were chipped and there was no phone in the room.

This is the second time I stayed here and both times I have had to deal with roaches. I would have thought after the first time it wouldn't happen again. Well it did and honestly they really need to clean that up. The place is not only got roaches, but the rooms are nasty and not clean at all. The chair in our room saw covered in something (gross). I am tired of telling people that their staff isn't doing their job. I was there for a celebration of life for a family member and here I am having to tell the front desk there is roaches again. Besides all that the staff at the front desk are very kind so I have no complaints there.

We checked in late at night and when we opened the door it was a combination of sewer and dead rat smell. The other room had gross stuff dripping down the walls and the room smelled musty. Melissa was the receptionist, but couldn't leave the front desk to check out the rooms. She was very helpful but the management was unavailable until Monday. All the other rooms were booked, so we left and went to another hotel. Hopefully, Expedia will be able to get the rooms refunded.

After paying for our room and given keys to our room on the third floor (room 301), we were advised that the elevators were not working and we were directed to the stairs. We learned later that the elevators had been out of service for about a week, and we were never notified of this. We are in our 70s and climbing stairs are difficult, especially when carrying luggage, but it was too late to get another reservation. The carpet was filthy and looked like ground in dirt. I would never recommend this hotel.

The sheets were dirty as if they were not laundried.The carpets were wet in areas. Smell of liquor. Ac did not work. Musty. Horrible staff without a smile who were so defensive when the issues were brought up. La Quinta has standards. This was poor management.

First of all, they only had one room ready for my reservation, when my reservation was for two rooms. The elevator was out and they put us on the second floor. Three in our group have physical limitations and we had to carry our luggage upstairs. This hotel is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The floors haven’t been vacuumed in a long time. When we entered our room, we found a dorito chip and candy wrapper on the floor. The floors were filthy, the bedside table had sticky residue on it and the sheets were dingy and dirty.

Our room was extremely dirty. Both of the comforters on the double beds had stains. One had blood stains and the other had lipstick stains; these were not hidden but visible as soon as you walked into the room. The side chair had grease stains all over it. The bathtub drain was clogged and the granite surrounding the tub was very strong with cigarette smoke.

The property was spotless, the beds comfortable. An average breakfast, hash browns were terrible. The staff was fantastic. The television is horrible, not user friendly at all, not even the staff is sure how to navigate it. The florescent light over the mirror in the bathroom was inoperable and the owner would not let the maintenance staff repair as the hotel is undergoing renovations. The staff did give us a table lamp to use in the bathroom (the ceiling light was operational). The exhaust fan was inoperable in the bathroom also. The heat was terrible (I know who needs heat in south Texas?). I set it at 74 degrees and set it on emergency heat that should have turned on the heat strips inside the unit, instead it must have stayed on heat pump mode and never got above 71 degrees. Would I ever stay there again? The answer is yes but I would bring a tablet or computer with down-loaded movies to watch and would not visit during a cold snap.

I really liked this hotel but the room we had was so noisy it was horrible, we could here everything that went on outside the door. The breakfast was nice but the biscuits tasted day old the bacon and eggs were good though. It was very hot outside but the air conditioner was keeping us nice and cool. Thank you.

The property is nice and clean but it took 2 hours to check in and we were told at check in that our room was taken by someone else and then the lady checking us in gave us a single room and told me to see if it had a sleeper sofa for my kids and low and behold it didn't. So back down the stairs and finally got a room.

Couldnt get the TV to work- very limited channel selection, and staff never responded to our request for assistance. Housekeeping had to get maintenance personnel to unstop bathroom sink, which was finally cleared. Requested new bulb in TAble lamP twice, and requested assisitance with turning off and re-setting Alarm both of which were never attended to. Hallways were dirty due to renovation of hotel. Other than that, staff was very friendly and efficient and stay was very pleasant.

Very Quiet hotel. Opened the shades to a beautiful evergreen forest-like setting. The breakfast was very good, with many choices. The staff all were very pleasant, and you could tell they really enjoyed their job, (an increasing rarity in the hospitality business).

The staff was awesome. Checkin was quick. They had someone call in sick but they worked together to make sure the breakfest time ran smoothly. The room was clean and cold when we arrived. Very smooth transition when we decides to stay an extra day. There are several nice restaurants to eat at near by. North of hotel is Rikenjax, they have a delicious and affordable brunch menu and just South of hotel is Nice guy Ricks.

O had always heard how nice La Quinta Inns were so I was looking forward to this stay, however I was somewhat disappointed with this location. The check in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They kept fresh coffee brewed 24/7 which was nice. Overall the rooms were good with comfortable beds, coffee maker and mini fridge. The grounds were kept up, the pool looked nice and clean, and the overall hotel appearance was pretty nice. There were 2 main negative points. Although the sheets appeared clean, the bed spreads were not. Both did not look washed, and one in particular was grossly stained and had a tear in it. The 2nd negative was the breakfast. I don’t expect a gourmet meal, but it wasn’t very good. The hot items (eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy) were not hot, the scrambled eggs seemed to be reconstituted powdered eggs, the biscuits were soggy, the hash browns were soggy and tasteless, and the bacon was super salty. The best part was being able to toast a fresh bagel but they didn’t have any our second day. There were other items available too such as a waffle maker, oatmeal, grits, sausage patties the 2nd day, and fruit juices, which were ok. Overall a fairly good 2 night stay but it was dampened by the 2 negatives.

The first thing that I encountered was that they had overbooked and the King room that I reserved was no longer available so I got a room with 2 queen beds. Not a really big deal, however, not what I wanted. The lady that set up the breakfast was fantastic. She never stopped. She kept all the breakfast items stocked up and she made sure that there was always fresh coffee brewed.

Room ok. Problem with a/c unit but ok. Food in am not the greatest. Every day eggs were cool, not warm. Bacon good. But again cool, not warm. Liked waffles. Wish there was just a little fruit! Staff very nice.

Hotel was clean with just a few maintenance issues (floor covering in elevator needed replacing). It was loud in the evening. Breakfast was ok…not much variety… and no eggs. Definitely not the variety of Holiday Inn.

I hit it on a bad weekend. No eggs for the entire weekend and on Monday too when I left. Yet they are beside Walmart??? Staff is freindly. The elevaror was broke too a day. The lights above sink were both out in the 2 rooms I was in . I booked wih expedia and do not understand why the 3 days did not register.-only 2 nights registered, yet it showed as pending on on my credit card. Puzzling

We came in from out of town and got there at 11:30. Was told they would have housekeeping clean room and be ready in 30 minutes. Very nice breakfast next morning before getting ready for funeral
