It was a very nice stay . The only thing was the one door on the right hand side when you come down the stairs if you’re facing the hotel that door does not lock when you go out and it is not very secure at night anyone could walk in.

This hotel was well maintained and the room was comfortable. It is also close to MD Anderson. There is a Kitchen in the suites, and the bathroom was nice , with plenty of hot water and toiletries. There is a nice pool and BBQ grills outside, The staff was also friendly . Just a FYI, while it is very pet friendly ( even have a area for them to walk etc. ), they do have a 25 dollar charge for the pet , which is not in the hotels.com website on the description. It is definitely worth the money and overall, well maintained property.

Room phone didn't work, weird smell, toilet wouldn't flush properly, elevator had an uneven floor, poor soundproofing, exposed business center made legally sensitive printing impossible. Did sleep well, though, and nobody was rude.

Laundry was wonderful. Being able to stay, and make sure things are clean and ready for whatever events you have planned in the area. (lots todo in the vicinity). I would recommend it.

Easy check-in and out. Kitchen was clean, and with all utensils was nice. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable. If we were staying longer, I'd have liked to use the gas grills.

The management or staff was able to accommodate my late arrival and provided a quiet, comfortable, and clean environment for my stay. This location is very close to several restaurants and shopping. It's conveniently close to the intersate which made travel to and from my family related events easy. The parking is shared with other nearby hotels and seems a little small in my opinion, otherwise I enjoyed my stay and I'd recommend this hotel.

Loved having a room with a separate living room and door to the bedroom. There is some significant paint wear on bathroom cabinets and door & the room has a stale smell. However we really liked the extra space this room offering has which is hard to find with other hotels. We appreciate the hotel being dog friendly too!

Stayed there due to our AC our home had stopped working and was being replaced. We wanted to be close to the house Very clean rooms. Maybe a little heavy on the fabuloso cleaner due to smell took a lot of time to disípate. Towels clean and fresh, bathroom tub and shower worked fine. Room set up well parking convenient. Outside side door entrance key opener did not work but told front desk. AC in room working but room was cool never got to temp of 70 as we set it. Woke up with it not working at 12:30 and requested change of rooms. Was able to move to Nextdoor room and it was fine. AC working great. We feel we should have been given some kind of money off of bill due to initial room equipment not maintained and having to move at 12:30 in the morning. Overall though in a pinch we would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility, however, is very tired. It is scratched and stained and bumped. They are painting the outside, so hopefully, the inside is next. it just really needs updating and deep cleaning. The door had to be slammed to get it not to reopen. There are just little things everywhere that really need redoing. But again, hopefully they are fixing things inside after painting outside.

Everything felt broken and in disrepair; chair legs were broken, lampshades for cracked and broken, there were holes in the curtains, the cabinet doors in the kitchen were really hard to open and sounded like they would break off if I opened it at all. There were roaches and ants all over my stuff the first night so I was moved to a second room, but that room even had small baby roaches and medium sized roaches, at least two per day popped up. When I decided to have dinner in the room the last day, about 10 medium sized roaches came out of nowhere and started running across tables and the floor and the trash can and some got on the table on my food, so that last night was pretty awful sleeping there. Staff seemed to be nice though.

Convenient location . Room was not very clean, smelled of a strong deodorizer to try to cover up an issue… Oder was so strong that I couldn’t sleep well. Sheets had staines on them. The grass was tall and unkept.

Property is a bit worn but nothing that prevents a great night’s stay. We were happy with it for our basic needs - which were to get restful sleep, a hot shower and a place to be convenient launching & landing point for various activities in the area. Very near to so many restaurants & tourist activities. My only frustration was our key card randomly de-activated twice during our stay. It was frustrating and inconvenient to go get it reactivated twice…especially when we had full hands trying to get the door open to our room. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend it for those needing an affordable place to stay in a highly utilized area that is safe, clean & a great place for the basics. No frills. Just the essentials.

We traveled with our young family of 5. This was exactly what we needed. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs, the room was clean, shower was hot. Perfect location in League City in a good neighborhood. The staff was friendly & helpful. The property has been updated/remodeled (I have seen previous reviews and wanted to clarify).

Right off of hiway, close to many good eateries & shops. Quick check-in. Room away from road, on top floor. Minimal but convenient kitchenette amenities, but useful. Small flatscreen tv; satellite reception failed during severe weather events. Noisy AC & fridge compressor took turns waking me up. Poor queen matress quality. Could have used more towels in-room. Very large hailstorm during stay—i went to ground floor for my own perceived safety.

I had booked a king suite & when we got here they put us in a 1 queen bed suite. I showed them my receipt & was told there were no king beds available. They then put me in a 1 bedroom suite but it still was just a queen bed. They finally gave us a room with 2 full beds, still unacceptable since I booked & paid for days before a king bed.

Nice and very clean property. Reception employee was gentle and polite. Only one aspect did not meet my expectations- they are unable or not willing to issue any receipt even for cash payment I made for the purchase I made from their “store”. Hopefully they don’t put those charges again with my room.

The only person that knew how to do anything was the GM. The staff was not trained on how to check in or check out. The snack shop was closed the first 3 days, so no access to soda or juice. The second 3 days the whole lobby was closed which gave the staff a reason to not help anyone. I managed IHG properties for years and have stayed in more than I can count so I’m very disappointed that a hotel under the IHG flag was run so poorly. Do better.

I managed IHG properties for years and have stayed in more than I can count so I’m very disappointed that a hotel under the IHG flag was run so poorly. Do better.

Well. There’s a wonderful Front Desk & Customer Service Attendant and her name was Diana. She treated myself , and from what I saw, EVERYONE else staying there like they were basically “Famiily.” The level of service & dedication I saw honestly from her and the entire team , was WAY more than I expected. Never stayed there before . Now , if I am there again for travel, I have for my new GO TO . Great job Candlewood Suites in League City

The front desk girl called me stupid and was very rude and said she ain’t got time for stupid games and stupid people she worried about the people in the front more than people on phone we were wasting her time and she got mad and tried running my credit card over 600$ very unprofessional

The front desk staff had a negative attitude and not helpful checking in for me and my son in separate rooms. Upon check out, and as in past experience in many of the other hotels I have booked through, I requested a print out of the charges but the front desk clerk and the manager refused. I do this to ensure the charges are correct and the incidentals will not used will be reimbursed to me. Was todl I would receive the final charges directly from Expedia. Please send as given the front desk staff, I do not trust they will have done so. Thank you.

Had a terrible experience at a hotel 10 minutes up the road and came here. It wasn’t check in time but decided to see if a room was available for us to do see because we were exhausted from the horrible experience prior. Diane was amazing. She heard our story and was able to help us out and put us in a room. This will be our go to place when coming up here from now on. Diane is a 5 star.

The management or staff was able to accommodate my late arrival and provided a quiet, comfortable, and clean environment for my stay. This location is very close to several restaurants and shopping. It's conveniently close to the intersate which made travel to and from my family related events easy. The parking is shared with other nearby hotels and seems a little small in my opinion, otherwise I enjoyed my stay and I'd recommend this hotel.

Property is a bit worn but nothing that prevents a great night’s stay. We were happy with it for our basic needs - which were to get restful sleep, a hot shower and a place to be convenient launching & landing point for various activities in the area. Very near to so many restaurants & tourist activities. My only frustration was our key card randomly de-activated twice during our stay. It was frustrating and inconvenient to go get it reactivated twice…especially when we had full hands trying to get the door open to our room. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend it for those needing an affordable place to stay in a highly utilized area that is safe, clean & a great place for the basics. No frills. Just the essentials.

The place needs attention, the cabinets in the bathroom were super worn out, veneer peeling. I killed 2cockroaches, albeit they were smaller ones. No tissue paper ( very unusual). No breakfast, but coffee available & and a mini freezer to purchase food from. We bought stoufer’s frozen dinners breakfast bowls( reasonably priced). I bought a pint of ice cream and it was all iced over , it apparently had deforested at least twice and refrozen, couldn’t eat it. Went down to lobby to complain… no one there… it was around 8pm. The room had a very nice mini kitchen.

Easy check-in and out. Kitchen was clean, and with all utensils was nice. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable. If we were staying longer, I'd have liked to use the gas grills.

This hotel was incredibly disappointing. My expectation was an affordable discount hotel chain. What it was, was an outdated motel 6 posing as a moderately priced hotel. Our room was incredibly outdated and furnished with wha looked like garage sale furniture. The entire room smelled of chemicals and the hotel was absolutely filthy. This place cuts corners in every possible way. The staff was very friendly but we walked in and left immediately to reserve a room elsewhere. We did mention all of this through their text customer service and received no response from management.

I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay for my trip to texas! The staff were absolutly amazing and so helpful and the room was amazing, nice bed, great shower and bath and the gym and pool were excellent too!
