Hotel is under construction but nothing mentioned on Expedia. Ripped off on both sides.

We did not know that the place was under construction when we booked. there was no swimming pool available. did enjoy the hot breakfast. Needed assistance with turning on the shower.

Place was under construction and I don’t think I saw any comments about it on the app. Looks like it’s under major renovation which is great however surprising when you check in.

We pulled up to see it was under construction. As we walked in the building we could smell that it was old and musty. At check-in we find out the pool is closed due to the construction. A notice of that would have been beneficial. The carpets in the hallway are rippled. As we entered our room there was a strong moldy musty smell. We were going try to stay so I went to shower and the knob was falling off and rigged up. I had to jiggle it a certain way for it to even come on. Then the water was cold. I got out and my boyfriend said he was having a hard time breathing and the sheets and pillow cases were yellow, so we decided that we weren’t going to stay. I went to ask for our money back and she said the manager wasn’t there and we would have to contact him in the morning. So we went in the morning and they informed us that we would only get 2 of 3 nights refunded because I took a shower. Fine whatever. The guy at the desk asked us to wait to talk to the manager. We sat there for about 30 minutes while watching the manager talk and drink coffee with another employee. My boyfriend went to speak with him since we could clearly see he wasn’t busy and he told us we didn’t have to wait for him and that he would take care of it when he gets to his desk. We left. 10/10 DO NOT recommend! Maybe once their construction is complete.

They are doing construction, pool is closed. Breakfast was good Norma was fantastic, the TV situation is teally bad.

the bath curtain holder was broke like someone just hanged, but i reported and they change my room quickly. pool was not operational and the ice machine was broken

The hotel is under construction, so the pool was not working. Staff was helpful and friendly at the front desk. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. Overall, a comfortable hotel.

This was my 2nd time with this facility. Both times the first room I was assigned had to be changed, this time it was just because there was no remote for the TV and they did not have a replacement available. Not a major issue just a small annoyance The next room was clean and fully ready. The lobby area is always clean and in good repair. The complimentary breakfast was very good, only issue they had run out of the sausage gravy and biscuits which is one of my favorite breakfast items. But the scrambled eggs and link sausage was hot and delicious. Always plenty of parking and several restaurants are nearby. Right off the highway for easy access. For the price I am a very satisfied customer and will return.

Very poorly maintained. Two lights were out. Two lampshades were ripped. Remote was taped together and needed new batteries to function. We booked this property because of the pool. It was out of service, but the signage stating so was hard to find. Pool gate was not locked. Staff didn’t seem concerned.

The room smells of humidity, has mold, the air conditioner sounds like a motor, and there is rust in the bathtub.

My first room on the first floor was so sad. No comfort. Experienced sugar ants on the right hand night stand and on my bed. The sink smelled like sewer, and complained. Therefore I was moved to the second floor. A bit of an upgrade. No sugar ants and no sewer smell, but ugh shower curtain and the rod were a menace. Just like the first room too. Only covers the middle and the ends are open meaning water comes out!! Who wants water on the floor when stepping out of the shower?? After 3 days, bed was beginning to get lumpy. The carpets in this hotel need to replaced. They are torn and just need to be replaced with laminate flooring. It’s disgusting plus the carpet boards are detached from the walls. I was thinking of getting a refund by Monday, seriously considering getting out of there. It was 10 years ago that stayed there and gave it another shot. I was wrong!

The exterior renovation appears to be almost complete. Looking better. The rooms are basic, kept clean and in adequate repair but they could benefit from updating as well. The room itself is ok but the bathroom shows some mold in the chalking and a few cracked tiles. The sink leaks but for the price I am a very satisfied customer. The bed is clean and comfortable the TV with remote works the AC/heat works and the complimentary breakfast is as good or better than most. Also the room does have a coffee pot and enough supplies for 2 cups of coffee. This place is well worth what they charge and is a bargin!

First the key card didn't wanna work, the main lobby had a funky smell, than i had to leave a $50 deposit for any damages . Onces i entered the room it smell bad, the vanity sink was broken and fix with glue, the wall paper from the restroom was coming off, it was fix by some staples, carpet was stain , Rather than one night stay

The hotel room smelled so bad and had roaches crawling everywhere. We itched the whole night and were not able to sleep due to the conditions of the building. Will never stay or recommend.

The staff was legit.. the rooms not so much… lots of water damage, stains on walls couches etc. A damp musky smell.. you take with you when you leave…walls are paper thin you can easily hear the outside traffic. Kinda like a motel 6 in general..

The bathroom needs remodeling. The barhtub had black mold/mildew all over.

the room had a foul smell. like en enclosed moist room. the smoke alarm went off and could not turn it off. we asked for a 30 min time extention and were denied. we were told that check out was 11:00 am the makeup of the room rule is every 3 dias.

Odd that there were two double beds but one king sized headboard. Room needs some maintenance. Breakfast was better than many.

They strictly enforce the 3PM check in time. I arrived 15 minutes early and had to sit in the lobby waiting. they also have added a new fee, it's called a recovery fee it is only $0.26 so not enough to get too upset about but it sounds like a scam and the web site stated all taxes and fees were included when I paid online. The lock on the room (101) was defective, had to get the clerk to figure out how to get in. The room itself was clean, but the bed is getting old ready for replacement. The breakfast buffet was not too bad, they replaced the sausage and gravy with a brown goo that I think was supposed to be refried beans, really bad but the rest of the buffet was ok, Typical waffle, yogurt, scrambled eggs with diced ham, cereal and breads. For the price this was an OK deal but I think I will try a new place for my next visit.

We did not like the fact there was not electrical outlets on both sides of the bed. Also, we had to change our room at 3 o’clock in the morning the first night to two. I woke up to ants all over my nightstand and all over the chair in our room. Staff was nice and very cooperative. The new room was better. I was disappointed in the breakfast instead of a full breakfast. They only serve certain things if there’s less than 30 guests and I feel this is not right if we pay for a full breakfast, we should get it.

I love to stay here whenever visit Mcallen. Only issue is wifi conection. I did not have problems with wifi conection before but passed 6 months wifi was on and off constantly and did not improve.

not one person reviewed how terribly hard the mattress is! We slept on a plywood board with a sheet on top. 2nd worst bed in years of traveling. Staff is nice but seldom at counter. Never saw cleaning crew to get new towels in 3 days. Room is dirty and hot. Its like the 70s Cheap polace Location is great

My TV wasnt functioning, the young man at the front desk worked out, controks and other issues, reolaced my TV with a smile. Great customer service. It is my GO TO in Mission (letting the secret out)

Staffe. Normar is the best front desk staffe I ever met. She always try to accommodate customers request.

Nice hotel just needs a bit of upgrades. Front personnel were awesome especially Norma. Norma went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

There was no one at front desk when I arrived. I waited for what seemed 5 minutes till hostess came. I was charged some new Texas tax, hostess ran my card even though I paid cash so I was charged twice. Once I got to my room I find out there wasn’t any hot water to take a shower. Called front desk and all hostess said was “ yes, we’ve been having trouble with it, all you can do is leave water running.” There were hairs in the shoe drain too. I would expect this at a different type of hotel but not on this one. I’ve stayed here before but this will definitely be my last.

First room had broken toilet and phone. Second room had broken phone and TV set to Spanish only. Maintenance did come and fix those two issues. Cracked tiles, and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. Holes in the carpet. Bed was incredibly hard. Breakfast area was so packed there was no where to sit. And the food options were pretty dismal.

Breakfast is from 6am to 10.but in the morning breakfast is never ready by 6am always late .but on weekends breakfast is ready on time.

The property and room are very clean. The complimentary breakfast is very good, scrambled eggs with sausages and biscuits with sausage gravy along with the typical waffles, cereal, yogurt, breads and fruit. My only area of complaint is the condition. The first room I was given had a defective TV that did not function. The bathroom was clean but showed water damage that had been cosmetically repairs with extensive caulking but also had several cracked tiles. The second room had a working TV but the bathroom was in similar condition. Everything functioned so this is a cosmetic issue only. To switch the water from the tube to the shower required pulling down on the tube spigot where the aerator is normally located. I tried calling the front desk as I did not figure this out but found the phone did not work. Overall, a typical 3 start hotel, not great but for the price a good value, the cleanliness of the rooms, very good breakfast, convenient location and easy parking at this price is a good deal. I will stay there again.

Very good breakfast. The elevator needed a good vacuum. The water was hot most of the time but cool one night. Everyone was nice and curtious. Room was nice sized, clean, bed was comfortable. Bed spread could use a cleaning. We will stay again
