Motel 6-Cutler Bay, FL

I was on the 5th floor and every other day the elevator didn’t work. Aside from the fact that after 9PM they shut off the elevator so I’d have to walk up 5 flights of stairs with my 2 kids and whatever else I had to bring up.

Elecator did not work

This hotel was filthy, no clean towels for three days. The pool that is featured on their front page has been closed, empty of water for almost a year. That picture should be removed from their website. The pool was the only reason we choose our stay there. Extremely disappointing!!!!!

The pool is nonfunctional and full of dirty rain water attracting mosquitoes. The place stinks all around I couldn’t figure out where the smell came from. The elevator takes forever and when you’re trapped inside you’re getting eaten up by mosquitoes trapped with you. While I was there ants got inside my car, probably from all the trash laying around in the parking lot from the residents who actually live in the motel. The staff was overall nice but I got an eye roll when I asked for new towels, after a four day stay, we were dying to leave.

Its been a year since i visited motel 6 i was in shock with the deplorable conditions that place has gotten 200$ more a week and very filthy i dont want to c how those house keepers have their home NO WORKING ELEVATOR

Floor in room was dirty and you feet were black if you walked barefoot. Shower drip water a lot. Room door was hard to open and close. Pool was closed and both ice machines were broken. Had to buy ice at the gas station.

No microwave, some rooms had them some did not, only 1 blanket for 2 beds, check in took 25 minutes because the desk clerk checked someone else into my room under my name. Rooms were not the cleanest, holes in the wall in the bathroom from previous shower rods. Room keys needed replaced daily. Check in parking is absolutely a nightmare, so small. Elevators were god awful, so slow, also one was shut down most of my stay. Getting down to floor 1 and back up took multiple minutes each time. Have stayed in many many hotels/motels, this is one of the worst I’ve experienced. For $100 a night, I got ripped off.

Hotel reeked of Marijuana. Room smelled like mildew. There was blood in the walkway not enough towels. To top blanket on it he bed. Hotel is wide open any rapist can walk right up to your room but the desk clerk would not let the food delivery person bring food to my door. Was supposed to have continental breakfast but nothing. We would have left and went somewhere else but we were exhausted. And there were what seemed to be hookers walking around.

Dirty inside and outside the room. Garbage in the hallways. The place smells horrible. People smoking outside their rooms. I could smell it in my room. The bathroom door was broken. The bedding had stains. Horrible place.

The rooms are really dirty. The bathroom water does not get that hot . The wood floors are sticky. Paint on the walls are falling off. The fixtures are really dirty and old. pubic hair all over the bathroom floor not well clean in major need of repairs. They're drug dealers in the parkin lots prostitutes walking around. I will not suggest to bring a family here. i will no be back. The pictures online are false. Looks like that very bad odors. The star wheels people have been urinating in there. And it smells like really bad. The elevator worked at night when I got there but in the morning did not.

The room was super dirty and had an unpleasant smell and as soon as I saw the condition of the room I left immediately DO NOT COME !!!

this place was so gross. stunk like mold , seen visible mold in lobby and room. our room was "upgraded" and still moldy had to find another place that night. couldn't even stay elevator was filthy and had ripped shipping blankets taped on walls smoke alarm battery was beeping in our room. walkways were wet slimy and filthy

The whole place was filthy, and disgusting! The sheets were dirty, all of metal in the room was rusted, bathroom was disgusting. The outside of the rooms and the breezeways, walkways and the around the elevators were littered with trash. My family and I left you couldn’t pay me to stay here.

Extremely horrible experience. Dirty, does not look anything like the pictures online. I had to check out the same night and book with another property. There was pee in the elevator, the rooms were so dirty. The towels were stained. The smell was so bad. We were in town for less than 24 hours and this was the only place close to the events location which is why I picked it out. Ended up booking with another hotel farther away. Do not recommend

The place was very dirty. Dirty sheets, dirty bathroom. Staff offered no help and told me to call expedia. Left the hotel and went to another property.

The door to my room barely closed, looks like it had been pried open with a crowbar at some point. The light switch by the door didn’t work. The bathroom door didn’t close. Dew accumulates on the floor and furniture throughout the room, no WiFi, no working phone in the room. The elevator was so slow it was scary and the stairwell smelled strongly of piss

I’m paying for a room that don’t even have a microwave or a fridge

I was put in room 402. Where there was a leak in the roof, that fell on to my bed and eventually flooded my whole room, messed up my clothes and I wasn’t accommodating for anything. Never a gain.

When I was going to book the room online, it’s like if they had false advertisement the room said it was gonna come with the refrigerator in the microwave and as I got to the hotel, the staff was telling me that there is no refrigerators and there are no microwave and that he wasn’t too sure that I was going to have a room with a microwave or a refrigerator And I paid for a premium room and it was more like a regular room

you can’t turn off the AC or adjust the thermostat, the room will flood , you sleeping in refrigerator,

I was here for two nights. I was on the 5th floor and the elevator is super slow and the first night the elevator was turned off after 5 and you have to go inside to use the one in the lobby this was an inconvenience. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, the tub was dirty and the towels had hair on them. In addition to that the tub was clogged. We asked for clean towels before we left and expected to have them when we returned but when we returned later that night no one had entered the room to give new towels or remove the trash. We had to go ask for towels and was told that they do not enter the rooms to clean until guest check out. Overall the stay was not worth the money.

Dogs barking from the room next to me. Rambunctious kids being loud in the room on the other side of me. Smell of cigarettes and weed seeping into my room from outside. Elevator is sketchy. And there were 5 cop cars and they were dealing with the room 4 doors down when i returned from dinner. It was mostly clean inside of the room, but overall it was not well kept.

The ac was set to 60, and there were no blankets just sheets. The shower/tub were filthy. When I turned the ac up because I was freezing the room became humid and everything damp. Light fixtures falling off the wall, and clear mold issues. I was not the only person with this issue, and actually left to stay at another place. The management was also gaslighting people and minimizing how bad the experience was (like saying you can’t set the ac up to 70 in Florida because of the humidity and the outside doors). Don’t walk, run from this place! I didn’t expect luxury, but this was abhorrent. Police were called because of the escalation with irate (as they should be) customers wanting their money back. I can’t imagine if I had to stay and wasn’t able to book elsewhere.

Unfortunately there was nothing about it we liked. Flooring was wet, bed sheets were damp, pillow cases were damp, we towels, Water dripping from the ceiling, pool was empty beside dirty rain water. Only there for the night so that was the only saving grace. Worst hotel stay we’ve ever had.

Left early due to bites. Probably bedbugs. Will not go back. One of the elevators was broken. Booked a room with fridge and microwave but the room had neither.

The receptionist Diamond was very helpful during our entire stay and gave us a clean attractive room.

It was a terrible hotel experience but not the worst I've ever had. Front desk attendant acted like I was interrupting her TV time or phone time. Then there was no blanket on the bed and she said she was all out of them so I couldn't have one. Then the ice machine was broken but didn't find that out until after I asked her where the ice machine was, she told me where it was then I walked to it and discovered it was broken when I got there. I went back to ask her about it she said "oh yeah it's broken" I asked why she didn't tell me that the first time I asked her and she said " Cuz i'm busy". Then...the room...DIRTY dirty. You could see the first in the table, all surfaces in fact including the floor. Best part was that the AC actually worked but the room upon first entrance, smelled like heavy deodorant spray which I later discovered was to mask the cigarette smoke. DEFINITELY NOT even deserving a 2 star rating. AND the elevator took FOREVER, and there was a pool but I'd rather swim in a pond!

Harvey is the best !! He really goes out his way to make your check-in pleasant.

Where do I start… before even arriving the hotel I called around 3pm to let them know that I won’t be checking in til 8pm and confirmed that room will still be available. I get to the motel around 9pm . Checked in with the guy who was there can’t tell you his name but the nicest guy in the building . I go to the room . The room is nothing like the ones in the pictures I had booked a king suite which showed a king bed with a separate living area with a tv and a microwave and a pull out couch . Which was perfect for me because I was having surgery. I go upstairs to the room . It was a small double room : no bathroom door, no fridge no microwave. I go back downstairs to figure out what’s going on the gentleman tells me that they don’t even have those rooms anymore and they don’t know why it was on the site . Told me if I can just stay in that room for the night that they will figure everything out tomorrow . I said sure fine . I go upstairs leave my stuff in the room, then I realize that the door from the room didn’t lock at all . I call down stairs and now there’s another guy there who’s a complete jerk. I tell him the door isn’t locking he says I’ll call maintenance and hangs up. I go downstairs to talk to him there’s nobody at the counter so I knock on the counter . He comes out screaming telling me that if I’m gonna have an attitude he’s just gonna give me a refund . And just kept screaming that he was gonna give me a refund instead of fixing the problem .

Customer service was horrible a female manager was rude we were not provided fresh towels every day unless we asked for it and they always made us wait or come back for fresh towels we were not given fresh towels because they didn’t have it and the room was not cleaned at all there was a flood in the toilet was called made to clean it up never showed up until I called customer service after almost 2 hours that is health and safety violations fresh towels were not provided that is bad hygiene customer service is so horrible my wife slipped and fell in the bathroom because of the no rugs and slippery floors and over flowing toilet got a pic of everything will google review it with a pic it was not worth to stay there want my full refund

Five days without towels, no housekeeping service at all, no customer service either. Leaking airconditioners at every hall and a smelly elevator. Terrible is not enough!

Harvey was amazing, so sweet and very attentive to our needs the whole time we were there. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Especially if Harvey is working make sure you ask for him. He’s a sweet heart and will help you with whatever you need.

Great service, amazing staff 10/10 experience

What could have been a bad experience was quickly rectified by the Manager and I had an Excellent stay. Friendly day staff. Good experience, no complaints.

The lady in the front Dess was very rude. She charge my car and then tell me that the system was down that I had to pay cash. Even when I have the receipt from Travelocity she didn’t mind that I had to go out go get the cash and come back, when I argue that I have the receive that she just showed me where a lot of attitude she calls the security and the security tells me that I have to do what she says when I show proof that they already charge me the lady got upset and told her security guard that I had to leave the property that I’m not allowed to be there I think they are scamming people and taking the cash. I have pictures of the lady the worst situation ever.

Did not feel comfortable staying at this property. The parking lot seems like some kind of hang out. When I entered in the evening people were loitering in the parking lot. To get to my room I use the exterior elevator outside the building. I did not feel safe. If there was some sort of security posted in the area, I would've felt differently. I had a future reservation here, but canceled it. Because of the security concerns.

Our stay was great and walking distance to the bus stop, mall, and many restaurants to choose from.

This place is a dump. Poor maintenance - a lot of things need to be painted. Ponding water around. Concrete in fair to poor condition. Room smells.

This hotel charged us 256 dollars a night, and it was horrible. It was dirty, with water leaking on the hallways, many guys hanging out in the parking lot. Smell of marihuana was present everywhere. We called the front desk for a missing blanket and we were told they had no more. A horrible experience.

The property is in close proximity to the turnpike so the commute was very easy, but this hotel is overpriced for the run down, unkempt facilities.

Check in process and staff where great. Property was older, wasn’t kept up to date. Seem to house long term residents, parking lot had numerous people hanging out or sleeping in their automobiles. Room was very generic. Plumbing was terrible…toilet would barely flush, shower/tub filled with water when showering.

Convenience close to the turnpike

The even desk was pleasant and helped me get up to my room quickly. Asides that it all went downhill. I arrived in my aged/ beat up room. Damage every where. I went to have a shower and immediately noticed a half smoked cigarette behind the towel. The towel was also dirty and covered in hairs. I used my own towel. The bathtub had peeling paint, someone tried to refresh the tub by applying a coating that had obviously failed. I then noticed black mould under the sink around the garbage can. There was also a dirty used q-tip behind the sink. The kingsize bed only came with 2 half sized pillows that were very deflated. The parking lot was e as the exit gate was always up. The parking lot had people loitering in it all night. They seemed to be up to no good. Or just camping put for the night, it made me uncomfortable leaving my vehicle there for the night. The location is also right. Beside the turnpike so it was very noisy most of the night. I was informed by the night shift to take pictures of the cigarettes and everything else, and to show the manager in the morning to receive a discount. In the morning i formed the desk of my issues and referred to the night desk’s statement. I was not provided the manager and turned down for a discount. Very poor service. I would not recommend staying here unless you are short on money. I just needed a quick decent sleep after exploring the keys.

From arriving it wasn't the most pleasant stay. From a long check in wait time. To only 1 elevator working at this time. Then waiting over 10 min for the only elevator for a 6th floor level. Bed wasn't comfortable ,- me & guest both experienced lower Lombard pain. However - the hot water wad the best asset for this hotel. Loved actually. Due to another disappointment was no complimentary coffee ; Wow - I spend $80 a night at hotels to get that. I. will never stay at a Motel 6 again.

Evacuation from Hurricane Milton. Positive was pets allowed. Mall across street. Negatives one elevator was working which took forever. Stairwell smelled like pee. One microwave in lobby along with ice machine. My bed had no blanket only sheet. Asked for blanket and to fix tv never happened. We went to Five Below for blanket and bought a cable to attach to switch to get tv. Lastly, air conditioner leaked water into room and breezeway. Cat walked in it and put paw prints everywhere. We safely evacuate!

Things were broken, elevator and vending machines. Rooms were very barren, no refrigerator, microwave or coffee maker. Staff was very helpful but the hotel itself wasn’t all that great.

The floor stayed wet so socks we had were wet. The wifi was terrible couldn't get any work done. There was no ice or breakfast as advertised.. other guest were loud kids running up and down the walk way late at night. Mildew smell in and out of the rooms stairway smell like urine will not stay again not recommend it and also no refrigerator.
