We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and spacious, which made our stay really comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils we needed, so we cooked most of our meals during the stay it felt just like home. The pool temperature was perfect (not too cold), and having access to the jacuzzi and the ocean for swimming was a huge plus. We also really appreciated the in-room washing machine and dryer, which made traveling with family so much easier. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended! (My kids are already telling us to go back to the resort)

Nice hotel in a great location. Right above shops/cafes and across the road from the beach. Pools are great for the kids but could do with a deep clean and deck replacement (rotting decking in some areas). Apartment was spacious and very clean. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, appliances etc along with the usual (crockery, cutlery, drinkware). Bathrooms were clean and spacious and the spa was a nice addition. I’d stay at this hotel again.

We had pool views but our room on the 5th floor (top) and the majority of the other rooms on all floors didn’t receive any sunlight. Also the 2 lovely pools and 2 spas were in the shade for the majority of the day. In addition, unfortunately the bar was only open between 4.30-6.30 pm on Friday and Saturday. We were there in September. So the placed lacked a vibrant atmosphere.

The resort was well presented and clean on arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions and concerns. The room was clean and well furnished. Beds were very comfortable. Great location and friendly staff. Our bed sheets were stained on arrival and the ocean view room we booked had a garden blocking the ocean. Our balcony also backed onto the pool area which was not private. I mentioned this a couple of times and no solutions were given. The bar area has morning coffee and muffins. This is nice but could be much more. The happy hour was cramped and lacking energy.

Although we enjoyed our stay we found problems with our suite due to poor maintenance: 1. Patio door does not fit and whistles with the slightest wind. 2. Interior air vents are filthy/nhealthy! 3. If you want people to save water, why install a huge jacuzzi tub? 4. Lack of counter space in the bathroom and bad light switch and door design. On the plus side- friendly staff and yummy morning muffins.

We had a 1 bedroom suite. It was attractive, modern and spacious. The kitchen facilities were excellent, the bed was comfortable and we loved the large balcony. It was great to walk out the door for the beach and coffee. Several dining options nearby.

The room and resort itself was great. We had a superior three bedroom with beach views, and the view was spectacular. I would warn if you’re a light sleeper or have small kids that you can hear the bar downstairs (not owned by the resort) until about 10-11pm on Thursday/Friday nights (would assume the same on the Saturday night). And the lorikeets that sleep in the big tree out the front also make a lot of noise through the night as people wake them up. These issues are out of control of the resort. Heated pools were also great, lots of restaurants close by.

Rumba Beach Resort has a prime beachfront location directly opposite Bulcock Beach with many great restaurants and a shopping precinct only a short stroll away. We stayed in a premium 2 bedroom spa apartment boasting panoramic ocean views. The apartment was clean and well equipped with a full size kitchen, two spacious bathrooms and a laundry. The resort provides guests with fresh linen, bath towels and beach towels and features 2 swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a poolside cocktail bar. The only suggestion would be a larger lounge or perhaps adding a couple of recliners so all guests can put their feet up when watching TV or relaxing.

The resort itself was very nice, pools were great, room furnished nicely, great location and view from our ocean view room. However we booked an ocean front room and were allocated level one above the Drift bar and the room was not sound proof. The live music went until around 11 both night so was very hard for our children to get to sleep. I felt Managements response was disappointing- they said they will let the drift bar know. My advice to travellers is to check what level you will be allocated or request not level 1.

Great location and friendly staff. Our bed sheets were stained on arrival and the ocean view room we booked had a garden blocking the ocean. Our balcony also backed onto the pool area which was not private. I mentioned this a couple of times and no solutions were given. The bar area has morning coffee and muffins. This is nice but could be much more. The happy hour was cramped and lacking energy.

The resort itself was very nice, pools were great, room furnished nicely, great location and view from our ocean view room. However we booked an ocean front room and were allocated level one above the Drift bar and the room was not sound proof. The live music went until around 11 both night so was very hard for our children to get to sleep. I felt Managements response was disappointing- they said they will let the drift bar know. My advice to travellers is to check what level you will be allocated or request not level 1.

Rumba Beach Resort has a prime beachfront location directly opposite Bulcock Beach with many great restaurants and a shopping precinct only a short stroll away. We stayed in a premium 2 bedroom spa apartment boasting panoramic ocean views. The apartment was clean and well equipped with a full size kitchen, two spacious bathrooms and a laundry. The resort provides guests with fresh linen, bath towels and beach towels and features 2 swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a poolside cocktail bar. The only suggestion would be a larger lounge or perhaps adding a couple of recliners so all guests can put their feet up when watching TV or relaxing.

Rumba Resort is absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay, our apartment was lovely, very clean & fully equipped Lovely bar downstairs beside the pool with happy hr each afternoon. Such a amazing place to stay, we definitely will be going back again.

Rumba was a fantastic stay during our recent trip the cost for the weekend. The hotel facilities were fantastic and well looked after. The bar down stairs next the pool provided a great location to relax and take in the atmosphere of the hotel and area. Rooms were good, clean, well presented and had everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Big bonus points is the coffee bar in reception area with their own barista. I have not stayed in many hotels/resorts that are not charging more than a $1000 p/n for that convince. It's a small thing but all small things add up eventually. Will stay again in the future for sure.

If you are wanting a relaxing holiday Caloundra is well worth visiting and Rumba offers ideal accommodation for families and couples alike.

Although we enjoyed our stay we found problems with our suite due to poor maintenance: 1. Patio door does not fit and whistles with the slightest wind. 2. Interior air vents are filthy/nhealthy! 3. If you want people to save water, why install a huge jacuzzi tub? 4. Lack of counter space in the bathroom and bad light switch and door design. On the plus side- friendly staff and yummy morning muffins.

We had pool views but our room on the 5th floor (top) and the majority of the other rooms on all floors didn’t receive any sunlight. Also the 2 lovely pools and 2 spas were in the shade for the majority of the day. In addition, unfortunately the bar was only open between 4.30-6.30 pm on Friday and Saturday. We were there in September. So the placed lacked a vibrant atmosphere.

Convenient for what I was doing on the weekend. Great views, easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, the weekend I was there it was cold and wet, so I couldn't take advantage of the beautiful beach.

We were given a room right next to the pool on level 1. From 6am we had children screaming around the pool area which woke us up, and this carried on for the entire duration of the day. From 4:30pm there was live music so loud it felt like it was in our room. After the music ended it was back to noise from the pool. The back room of the apartment was as unusable due to the constant noise. I really hope no families with young children attempting to day nap, stay here. We paid for a premium beachfront room and the rooms on level 1 near the pool desperately need to be discount as there was nothing premium about our stay. The most disappointing part is that this was never communicated to us. Our ‘view’ was obstructed as it was on level 1 and had a number of structures over the view. We were deeply disappointed and feel the room should have been advertised differently as there is no way we would have booked this room as a premium beachfront. It’s false advertising!

Rumba Beach Resort is my go to get-away every visit for the last 10 years. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The evening happy hour is fun. Views from my 2 bedroom are amazing. Beach sunrise and Glass Mountains sunset. Nothing better! Easy access to eateries and walking the boardwalk up the coast.
