No coffee in the rooms.

Basic hotel but it gets the job done. No complaints other than they should have a coffee maker in the rooms. Cute 24 hour diner that operates as the front desk next door. Yeah it’s kinda kitschy but nice if you want an early/late meal or milkshake.

We were told at check-in that the Health Department prevented the hotel from providing us a top blanket, coffee maker, and ice bucket. A ratty old blanket was provided in the room (on the shelf), but we would have to request other items separately. (We did request a coffee maker, but didn’t use it due to the unsanitary condition it was in). FYI, we stayed at another hotel in West Virginia after this one -under the same Health Department - and they provided EVERYTHING (without us having to ask for it) that this hotel would not provide. Worst of all, our non-smoking room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. When we asked for a room change, I was told that they didn’t have any King beds available. But when I told them that we would be fine changing to Queen, she then told me that she couldn’t make any changes to my reservation since we booked through Expedia. She proceeded to follow me back to the room and spray a disinfectant ALL OVER the curtains, carpet, bed, etc. This only added another layer of asthma-inducing smells/fumes to the room. We ended up sleeping with just a top sheet and woke up earlier than usual just so we wouldn’t have to stay there any longer. Would not recommend!

Clean with comfortable easy chair. Few amenities. No coffee maker was a real disappointment. Comfortable night in a clean room, so no serious complaints.

Pennys Diner on site for food and check in was great staff and food. Only issue was need to scan qr code for ordering. NOT user friendly if you want something other than whats on viewed menu. Food was great tho..

This stay wasn’t bad, overall, but the property is very unusual. The hotel itself has no office or attendant in the building itself but has an employee in the diner next door, and that is where one checks in and out as well. In addition, the property is two stories but has no elevator or any luggage carts. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And the food at the diner was delicious.

No coffee maker, limited towels, poor lighting in bathroom. A spartan, but clean room. Diner attached to hotel was excellent!

The staff was friendly, the outside of the property smelled like an ashtray, the hallway was super humid/hot, and our room was very dirty. The floor and bed were covered in hair. We did not stay and found a clean hotel close by. Would not recommend.

It was interesting to check in at the diner. The diner had decent food. Just an overnight stay.....pmease note The hotel itself had an off putting smell in the hallway and a worse one in the room. Bring room spray.

Quiet and clean.

Weird experience. TV was on when we got in our room and would not turn off so my son had to unplug it. It did not look like the room had been swept and there were pennies left on the windowsill. Curtains gaped open and did not close all the way. Bed were comfortable and hotel was quiet. Not horrible but just okay stay.

Check in was at the diner in the parking lot of motel. There was no front desk or service area...not even a place for cup of coffee: including in room). Entrance was very dirty. (After we registered the diner waitress told us that they had a contract with the train company and if the guys got noisy to let her know). Our handicapped, which we did not ask for but I pity anyone who was handicapped using it. Our room was at the end of the building, down and poorly lit long hall. Rm118 was musty and extremely dirty, shower was moldy and rusted, and looked uncleaned for a long time. There was urine stains on the wall beside down the front of the toilet. Nothing in the rm was clean or dusted so I went back to our car and got disinfectant spray and wipes to at least kill the germs. I did the entire rm and still felt the creeps there. Could not take showers and were dirty from being on a train for 5 hrs that day. I have pictures and seriously I could go on and on. We would have left but didn't know the area, it was late, were exhausted, and GPS was sporadic, so we stayed sleeping very little. It was one of the worst hotel experience we have ever had including 3rd world countries. All this and we were Charged $200.01 to our credit card. Had been quoted $150.01. Didn't get a recipe from the gal in the diner. (I should have asked). Such a sad ending to our long awaited get away. Please do something about this so that no one else has to go through it. Very comfortable bed!

Nice place to stay on a road trip. Clean and overall quiet even though close to the freeway, noise was not a problem. Penny's Diner, 24/7 was very good! Would stay again!

Sits right in the entrance ramp to the interstate. Loud traffic noise. No coffee maker, remote did not work for tv.

We reserved two queens and got one. No ice bucket. No WiFi available. Curtains broken. Wet towel in shower when we got there. Very basic and outdated accommodations, especially in the bathroom. Very difficult to adjust bathtub/shower temp. The fact that an obsolete “mask required” sticker was still stuck on the front door suggested that nobody is paying close attention to the facilities. Everyone was very nice; I just think they’re understaffed with limited owner investment.

Mini-fridge made noise non-stop. Even with earplugs, too noisy.

Quick stop for the night, nothing fancy but was clean and no issues with noise being next to the highway. Would stay here again.

Comfortable bed, quiet atmosphere.

It was a basic room with a firm king bed. The room was clean and dated, however, the place looked liked it needed to be vacuumed and there were holes in the black out curtains. Though brochures had them as breakfast included that is not the case. Hotels.com had accurate information. The one odd thing was you check in at the diner which was a first for me. Big plus right next to the interstate and hospital. Almost not worth the price.

The room seemed damp, while attempting to adjust the A/C I discovered that the read out on the unit jumped from 75 to 63. It was either too hot or too cold in the room. The room was clean and all the amenities were clean. There was no blanket on the bed and the one folded up on the shelf was somewhat thin, it did however fit the king bed. The window had a blackout shade but would have been nice to have a shear on it also, because the lights in the room were quite dim. Overall it fit the bill for the price. Breakfast at the diner was very good. Staff was friendly, fast and they had it going on for the crowd that was present. Got our food in just a few minutes. Thanks

Check in/out actually takes place at the counter in Penny’s Diner- a real gem beside the hotel. Room was Remarkably quiet considering it’s located right off the interstate.

Check- in at diner next door- lady not hospitable checking us in. Got reservation wrong- one bed and a chair in room for 3 travelers- stuff to make coffee in our room but no coffee maker-

My original room had a strong moldy/musty smell. Running the A/C did not help, so I asked to move rooms and the staff was very helpful and friendly about it. The new room also had a slight musty smell, but was much better than the first one. Rooms could be cleaned better - especially the floors. Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Penny's Diner next door.

Even though the hotel is old, it is very well maintained and the staffing is excellent.

Everyone was super nice and hospitable. The room was comfortable and clean! Food and service at Penny’s diner was fantastic! I would definitely go back, if opportunity arises.

Took over a half hour to check in as no one was there, printer was also down. Room was not as clean as it should have been, stuff on the headboard and on the chair

Convenient to what I needed

Hotel is great. Right off Interstate 64. Exit has a Truck Stop with a McDonalds and Subway. Next exit 4 miles west has more food and not a bad drive. Diner on same property has office for hotel. Did not try it

Perfect place for me to stay at a half way stop to and from Ohio trips which i n make often.

Hotel was conveniently located near a meeting we were attending. We were there in the evenings after the meeting, and left before breakfast to go to the meeting. Room was clean and quiet. A good value!

Location to the parks and Penny’s diner

It’s close to the highway, hospital and McDonalds!

I like it because it is the halfway mark for my trips to and from Ohio to Virginia

Loved the diner! Room was clean. Enjoyed our stay!

Great quiet place to rest after a hard days work. No pool or things like that. But its clean, quiet and food is available 24/7 and its good at a reasonable price.
