Beautiful property gutted we didn’t have time to sample the food as we used this for a stay with the local York half marathon. Would definitely stay again and very dog friendly for our little pooch.

Great place to stay. Modern and clean. The team there were so welcoming - special mention to the manager Louise and Laura - they just could no do enough to make us welcome. I would highly recommend. Best English breakfast I’ve had for a long time.

Perfect- 11 out of 10!-Room was lovely,no expense spared anywhere, Contained everything we needed,Cozy and exceptionally clean. Really quick and efficient check in. Staff all so really polite and helpful, Relaxed and professional. Food there was Amazing and cooked breakfast was the best we’ve experienced.We got a great deal for a one night stay over in Aug 2025 but this hotel is so so good. We will definitely return in the future.Thank you all at the Plum and Partridge for making our visit so Awesome.x

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and cannot fault either the room (we had a dog friendly room) Bed was comfy, bathroom very modern and clean. I can certainly recommend the full English breakfast, possibly one of the best I've ever had, there are lighter options. We also had dinner here on both nights, again the food was great with good range of choices although in my opinion slightly pricey. Staff at breakfast and dinner were smart, attentive and polite. Apart from the intense heat, which made the room extremely hot but obviously not the property's fault, our stay was enjoyable.

Nice place..a little tricky to find. Service first night good great breakfast...2nd night and breakfast not as professional. Disappointing provision of toiletries....only enough for 1 first night and NONE 2nd night.....just the hand wash!!! Comfortable bed and spacious room with good thoughtful provision of everything else.

A lovely hotel, great food and a fantastic breakfast. A full English that left us feeling full! The Daily Menu mentioned "Crispy Doreen's Black Pudding" on the Grazing Meat Board. We didn't find out who Crispy Doreen is, but her Black Pudding was great! The steaks are pricey, but the rest of the menu seems reasonably priced, and the food quality was excellent. The "Wagyu" room was a good size, and well decorated with a nice deer theme. Nice overhead type shower, easy to adjust, and once adjusted the temperature didn't fluctuate.

Stay was perfect! Full English breakfast was perfect and the staff went above and beyond to allow us to check out ever so slightly later due to bus times and collecting our vehicle. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
