In an effort to be totally honest, I’m just not a big fan of the character in an older cottage type place. It felt cold and tired, but I’m sure others will view it as charm. I arrived fairly late, 8:45pm ish, the car park isn’t really a car park it’s a bit of a free for all so I had to squeeze my car in next to a bush, there was nobody around in reception so had to ring a buzzer and the guy was out quickly enough and he was very friendly. For me, it was Ok because I just wanted to arrive, get my head down, get up early for my flight, it was very convienient for this as it’s a 10min or so drive to Stansted. So all in all, convenient, reasonable price, but I’d definitely not stay here if I wasn’t catching a flight.

Firstly no bottled water in room was told that they could fill a container of water for us but we said that would be water from tap they said yes as we explained we don’t drink tap water. Next was noise from other guests, this is not the owners fault but a rule saying the premises would be locked at a certain time would benefit guests staying at property instead we had other guests entering the property slamming every door they went through at half past midnight then to have one occupant start having showers at 12:45 am which I found was inconsiderate with other guests trying to sleep. The noise from doors slamming went on for quite a while long enough for myself and partner to check out at 01:00 am to return home

I arrived very late...flight from Bergerac was delayed over 2 hours. Reception was understanding and my bag was carried up to the first floor. Room was very comfortable and quiet. I left early and again had help with my bag. Difficult to locate in the nighttime, but a good overnight stay.
