Did not feel safe at this property. Elevator was gross. AC didn’t blow very cold. No cups in room to take my medicine with.

average property with no to minimum amenities.. there was no blanked in room.. were provided on request but blankets were torn.. Shower did not work properly making it difficult to take bath

I was not aware that the room would not have a coffee maker or dishes. I survived because they made coffee down stairs. Please put this info where it can be read so I will bring my own next time.

We went for a weekend trip to New Orleans. Westwego was affordable and close to where we were visiting. The check staff was very friendly. The rooms are spacious with a stove, microwave, and full fridge. Beds are soft and comfortable. On Saturday night there was a man singing loudly down the hall but once we close our door we could not hear him. The only disappointing part of the stay was the Waffle House next. I had read in past reviews that it was a short walk for breakfast. Save time and buy groceries or drive a little further.

The hallway and elevator had an awful stench.

It was disaster from the get go. When I opened the door to the room that was given to me was not cleaned dirty stove, floor, no sheets, etc. Then I was placed in a room with one full bed for two adults. The Representative at time of check in advised that I would be moved the next day once room was cleaned. The next day a different Representative was there and told me I could not be moved per management. I explained what happened the day before and it was due to the hotel why I was misplaced. The young lady name were Deaja not sure if spelled correctly. She was very rude and out of place, the options she gave was to stay or leave, she did not even try to contact her manager to see what she could do to accommodate me. She then proceeded to lie about having any other rooms available. I then contacted hotels.com for assistance. They were really nice. When speaking to her they asked the question what would the refund be if we canceled. Well Deaja decided to process a refund while saying she did not cancel my booking, how could you refund someone and still have a booking. Because it was last minute and activities were happening in Louisiana I could not find another hotel with stove. Hotels.com assisted me with a new booking for same hotel which had at least 4 rooms. They helped with payment since refund was going back to them. Knowing that I could not do stairs Deaja placed me on the 3rd floor Knowing that elevator was not working. I would not stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not as advertised to the point where we didn't even stay there. We secured a non-smoking room and were told upon check in after 13 hours in the car that there were none available. We were booked on the 3rd floor in a smoking room and it hits you like a ton of bricks. With kids, it isn't even an option to try and tolerate it. Also the elevator was broken.....when asking for a refund, was told yes they would coordinate with Expedia. They just never answered the phone and my refund was declined, so now I am going to see if my CC company will help.

I've stayed at this property three times now and since I'm racing at the nearby racetrack it's a fantastic location for me plus it's right next to the waffle House for breakfast next door. Aside from cigarette and pot smell here and there and some rap music from somebody's car in the parking lot it's a pretty good property. You feel safe enough there but if you are a stickler for everything being perfect you might not like it. The staff are very polite but the elevator wasn't always working when I was there which was a little problem.

Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Very small bottles of shampoo and conditioner. There is not a coffee pot in room or a free breakfast like I saw for amenities on website. Free coffee in hallway but no cups. If you stay for extended,than I assume you have to bring all your stuff for cooking. Staff was nice. Hotel is clean.

As soon as we walked into our room I checked out the bathroom and saw a dead water bug in the tub. I then checked the eating area and saw a live roach on the baseboard and smashed it. I checked for cleanness and saw that they don't clean corners behind doors. Bedding was ugly. Pillows smashed and bathroom smelled like pee.

Very run down. Broken windows. Mildew on siding outside. Sign out front broken The entire hotel smelled of cigarettes and weed. In desperate need of updating. And a deep clean.

They didn't tell us until after we checked in that there is a big hole in the hall ceiling outside or room. There was NO toilet paper in our room . Theres literally roaches crawling across the bathroom floor and some in the tub . The pool was not available as well . Worst place ever. I asked the lady before we went to our room for a refund when she told us about the hole and the pool not available and she said its a 24 hour cancel policy notice. The room stunk and was fility . We ended up leaving because of how bad it was . There was no way we could stick it out for a night.

It was over priced ac barely worked stuff on the door smelled like weed on my floor not kid friendly at all

The person working the desk was high as could be. The room didn’t have working ac. The bed sheets had burn holes in them. There was no hot water to shower. After the first night the key did not work. And the person at the front desk would not give us another room. This used to be a good hotel but will never stay here again

I checked in to what appeared to be an extremely sparsely occupied hotel. I was given one key and went to the room. Upon opening the door, I saw a suitcase on the floor, could hear the tv on, and smelled marijuana smoke. I quickly shut the door and returned to the front desk where the on duty manager said "that room should be empty". I assured him it was not. He gave me a second key and walked with me to the room and opened it to assure that I would be its' only occupant. Later that evening, I woke at 2am to discover that the a/c had stopped working and it was now very still and warm in the room. I let the front desk know on my way out the next morning and asked if someone could look at it before I return that evening as I was in town for work. When I returned at 5:30 p.m., I asked the front desk if it had been checked. The manager on duty was unaware but escorted me to the room to check and find that no, it hadn't been addressed yet. He quickly made adjustments to the ac equipment and the system came on and worked well throughout the night. It's an average hotel and was ok for the price I paid. It could use a little TLC on the exterior of the building as the interior of the rooms seemed clean and maintained. It's nothing fancy but is a decent value for the price. I'm generally a budget traveler so I wasn't looking for excessive amenities. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette and bath were clean.

Good experience from beginning to end, rooms were nice and clean and the staff friendly and professional (especially the young lady that was new) at my checkout time. This is where I will be staying when in New Orleans.

I didn’t check in because no rooms were available and my card was charged. I would like a refund because I didn’t stay there last night.

The front desk manager, Monica, tried to charge my card at 7AM when check in isn’t until 3pm. There was no courtesy call and when I spoke with her that morning she lied. When I called her out of what she was saying, she then tried to change her story. She told me I could speak with the general manager when she came in. When I called later that day, Monica refused to allow me to talk to the General Manager and canceled my reservation. She was very rude, tried to gaslight me like I was in the wrong, and hung up in my face. I’ve stayed here before and I love it but after this experience, I don’t think I will be returning.

I’d reserved and fully paid for my room reservation and came all the way out of state just to be told my room wasn’t available anymore and they were booked so they couldn’t accommodate me

Waiting over 20 minutes to check in. No one at the front seat at first. Haven't even gotten the room yet. Room smelled like Lysol, no shower curtains, and bath faucet was leaking.

Stayed here for Mardi Gras its 30 minutes from everything it is a nice hotel the staff were very friendly would recommend if you dont want to pay all that money to stay in the French Quarter.

BEWARE! I don’t usually do reviews but this place is a dump! We booked a room with a queen bed and nonsmoking for Zurich Classic. When we arrived there were several smoking marijuana at the front door. We received a smoking room with a full size bed for me and my wife. She is sick so we could not stay in that room but the halls and complete hotel smelled like smoke. We asked for a refund and they would not refund our night but we moved next door to the Candlewood without a refund!

This was by far the worst place my husband and I have ever stayed- I mean checked in to as we did not stay long, not even the night. It was awful. When i entered the front office to get the keys 6 minutes early, I was greeted with attitude on being early as she now has to go and see if the room is even ready. As I was waiting for her to come back, two men approached me making me feel very uncomfortable asking if i was alone and wanted to come to their room . There was a homeless guy outside but I went outside as I would rather take my chances with him then inside. My husband was parking our car and when he came in I told him what had happened and that I was already uncomfortable. But we agreed we can handle it for the night as we would be leaving early in the morning. Well we were getting ready to leave and grab food, and when we got in to our car we noticed the sensor was going off and my husband thought it was due to the rain so he got out to wipe it off and found our front bumper was dangling- we have only had this vehichle for 3 months and someone there already hit it. there were several shady peolple hanging out smoking in the parking lot and our room was nasty as well. we packed our stuff and found another room at a different hotel for just a little more. If i can give any advice, find a different place even if its a little more- trust me!
