Place was very dirty. Elevator was broken and was originally on the third floor. We had too much heavy luggage to carry up with a knee injury. We asked for a refund and they would not give us our money back. We were given a room on the first floor but was charged extra. Very unprofessional. Stay away from this place

First room had no shower curtain so they switched me to another room. That one had a flickering light, faucet that barely worked, fridge that froze anything you put in it, and a lock where my key card took 7 attempts to get it to unlock. Laundry room says it is accessible by guest key but really must be opened by the hotel clerk who was always in the back and hard to find. Machine only takes quarters. No change machine and hotel refuses to make change. So I had to go to a laundromat elsewhere. Easily one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I don’t expect anything special at that price but this was much worse than even cheaper hotels I’ve been to.

This place is absolute trash. Seriously, piles of garbage and filth along the halls. Rats running around. The laundry room is always closed and going to be fixed soon. Elevator always out of order. Want a room change because of damage or disrepair in the room they put you in? Forget it. Need anything like towels, soap? You have to get it from the front desk during business hours. If your looking for a great spot to smoke speed and skrew a hooker this is it. Bring your bubble and some cash and get ready to... probably get ripped off by some scamming hoe.

Garbage all over the property. Many people just loitering on the property. Felt very unsafe. Refused to stay there as my car would get broken into.

First room had ladder paint unmade bed had to go chwck 4 other room before finding a clean one, no ice machine on premises, no cups, 1 towel in my room no rags hand towles .....nothing 1 towel .........got a full size fridge thou

TV was stuck on VH-1, only way to turn off was to unplug. Dresser was broken. Bathroom door made a huge dent in wall. Elevator wasn't working, was given Room 331. Had to deal with dirty, littered stairs. Cigarette burns everywhere.

So run down and in the hood that my wife and daughter were not even able to stay. Concerned car would get vandalized as well. I ate the cost on this one. Worst experience I have had with a Hotels.com listed property

Hot water for the entire building was not working when I tried to check in, no rooms available below the third floor and the elevator is broken also. We went to another hotel.

The strong smell of cigarette inside the room was from another galaxy, elevator does not work, stairs smells and looks like a homeless street.

Very dirty. Dirty shower and shower curtain(we couldn’t shower and wouldn’t even bring our bags in). Blood on bedroom curtain. I was in a bind and to late to leave but not suitable for anyone that didn’t create the disgusting environment.

When going up the enclosed staircase to second floor smelled of bodily waste (solid sand liquid) and marijuana and cigarette smoke. Entered room and met with strong odor of marijuana and cigarette smoke. Bedding dirty and signs of bed bug infestation. Bathroom not clean.

The room was dirty and disgusting. Bathrooms and Countertops in the kitchen were gross and had silicon on them...it cleaned up easy enough. The curtains looked like someone had taking a razor knife to them. The shower curtain didn't hang down to the floor so it flooded the bathroom floor when I took a shower...Not to mention the drugged-vagrants Sleeping in the stair wells. They changed my room to a semi-clean one, I ended up staying for 3 nice I highly recommend that you do not stay there. It is in a convenient location and it was cheap...

Didn’t like anything… 1st room was not clean, 2nd room light switches didn’t work in bathroom. Toilet was at an angle due to water damaged sub flooring. A/C work great and the beds were semi comfortable. Did not have 24hr front desk. Apparently, this property has people living in some units as well.

Very dirty

The floors are disgusting, turned our feet black. There is extremely unsafe night life. No trash cans or toilet paper or clean towels. There were bed bugs on one of the beds and also found dog poo in the corner. NEVER EVER EVER staying here ever again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.!!! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY.!!!!!

filthy is almost a compliment for this establishment. not one nice thing comes to my mind for it. would not recommend it to anyone. whatever the cost to stay here is over prices. rate it a 0

Dirty

This place is disgustingly filthy. I made a complaint with the Denver health department. Exterior hallways, walls and especially areas around the elevator look like they have never been cleaned since the hotel was built. Trash bags and trash was piled up and never addressed for the 4 days I stayed there. There was a really big pile right in front of the office the whole time I was there. After walking around in my room in my socks the first evening I noticed when I took them off they were really dirty on the bottom. There were stains on the bottom sheet that was on my bed. I talked to a police officer that kept driving around the building and was told that there was a lot of drug activity at this facility and auto theft. Saturday morning noticed homeless person camping out in their car at the back end of the parking lot. If I hadn’t paid for the room on line in full I would have left before I ever got into the office. I’ve never seen such filth at any facility. I have stayed at other Red roof hotels and they were okay for a low cost hotel, but the Glendale/ cherry creek facility is not a healthy place.

I dont typically fill out a review, but this place deserves one...This place is a dump. The room was absolutely disgusting, exposed electrical wires where a light was missing, smoke detector battey was missing and battery door open, toilet was loose...no housekeeping at all during our stay.....place is an absolute waste of money...should be demolished

Air Conditioning did not work. Sink did not drain. Stains on table and counter.

The room doors should be replaced. You can see through the frames. Looks like door was kicked in. I was not able to watch showtime . Channel says no signal.

Wi-Fi was Slo-o-o-o-w. TV channels, many did not come in. Room not very clean, in general this is an OLD property that needs remodeling. Kitchen and bathroom are rusted, broken, and feel unsanitary.

The place looked good from outside, but It was a little messy on the hallways and it smelled terrible. The rooms were ok, just a little old. The office was only open 7 to 11. So I was just asked in the office to leave my key in my room (I had to head to the airport at 5:00 am). I hope they give me back my $100 deposit.

First of all, the room REEKED of cigarette smoke. it was disgusting. 2. the floor was dusty 3. there's a "stove" top but one burner didn't work , and there was no pots , pans, utensils, etc to use with. I mean, you really think people are going to fly across the country and stuff their carry-on with pots, pans, utensils??? 4. the stupid card key lock took me 10-20 times to get in every single time nearly. it was ridiculous. 5. the blanket on the bed was almost as thin as the sheet! 6. the workers were kind n pleasant. the only good thing , that and the price was ok. 7. no comfy chairs to sit in, so the bed was it. or the table n chairs.

There was no T.V. in the room, just a wire hanging out of the wall. The air unit was held together with duct tape and never did heat up the room. One of the worst rooms ive ever stayed in.

The room was clean, and very organized. A bit run down looking but manageable. Very quite, could not hear other neighborhoods from room.

Property is good but the lobby is ONLY OPEN TO 11PM. We missed a whole night because our flight was delayed and we couldn’t check in till the following morning. Also requires a deposit before checking in.

Luis was great, he was very professional and super friendly. He brought me clean towels and was so helpful to me during a difficult time. His kindness & customer service made my stay a much better experience. Thank you Luis!

I bought a room through Expedia 2 hours before showing up. I got confirmation and a receipt from Expedia. When I showed up 2 hours later, I was told I didn’t have a room and they could do nothing for me. Mind you this was at 10:45pm. Will not be using Expedia to book stays or won’t look at Hometown Suites when in Denver area.

Staff was rude using profanity towards paying customer

I actually never even made it inside my room due to safety concerns, dissatifaction, and insufficient response to my concerns. I checked in and checked out within 5-10 minutes and booked another hotel in the same area. I got to the hotel around 11am on Thursday and was told check-in was a 3pm (not upset about this, I should/could have known this). I left to attend a conference I was there for and returned around 8pm. When I got there, there was a sign on the door that said "On Break". I waited outside for about 15-20 minutes. A receptionist returned to say that she locked herself out and is waiting for her boss to return with a key. I left again (because it was cold outside) and returned an hour later. I was in line where I heard complaints from other guests (keycard doesn't work, no towels in the room, stain on the bed) and the receptionist attempted to resolve concerns but overall, not helpful enough. Signs on the wall read "We cooperate with police" "You cannot stay longer than 21 days" "If police can see valuables in your car, so can thieves" "Do not back into parking spaces". When I checked in, was given a key that ended up not working. This was the last straw. I politely explained that I didn't want to stay and the receptionist shared with me that I would only be charged for the 1st night. I am STILL waiting for the $100 security deposit and am now skeptical that the check-out was correctly documented.

Arrived a few minutes after 11 pm and there was no employee on site to check us in. Tried calling the numbers and they all just kept ringing. Ended up not even being able to stay there after paying for the room. Ridiculous

This was a below normal type of hotel. Something you wouldn’t expect to find in this area. Although the price was reasonable…you immediately understand why. There is no care taken to hide the cosmetic damage or age of the building. The clerk was rude to everyone and did a phenomenal job at letting everyone know she didn’t want to do her job. I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

Please read- I’ve read some reviews on this Expedia site about Hometown Studios some are untrue. The photos on he Expedia must be years old because this place is dirty, disgusting, and unsafe. We pulled up there were police arresting people in the parking lot, there were car windshields smash, the front of the office entry plies of trash on each side of the entry way. The girl on the office rude/cold. Elevator broke, our family went up with luggage to the top. There was trash plied up on each corridor, smelt bad. Got in our room and OMG behind the door in red, they tried getting off BEWARE, no blankets, no toiler paper, sticky floors, microwave was a mess, bed was extremely uncomfortable (you can feel wires). I don’t need or want the Red Roof corporation to apologize like they have in other reviews- JUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR DISGUSTING HOTELS. This was my families first visit to Denver, it will be our last. Expedia my family had two reservations at this hotel due to the fake reviews, we are very upset with Expedia and after the reservations we have booked. We will start looking at different sites because I cannot believe you would allow such a disgusting hotel on the site and having your members feel unsafe traveling.

I did not feel safe staying here. Drug deals and doings going on. Homeless people loitering about and questionable people staying there.

We like because we can walk lots and use the public transportation really easy, so the workers was really nice

You would think your at somebody trap house…Only good thing about the hotel is that it’s close to local stores and restaurants.

It was horrible experienced. We came there and police where there also. Broken glass outside the hotel. We try to get an affordable hotel while in Denver for a week stay. Worst decision ever. Im glad front desk told us there is no room available. So we were able to leave right away and cancel booking.

Upon arrival the hotel looked good from the outside. We checked in and got our room key. The stairwells had garbage strown about and the room was dirty. There were many questionable characters milling about on that side of the building. When I went back to cancel the reservation the hotel clerk was not surprised and already had her answer - we will still charge you for the one night. I am not happy about this and Hotels.com is not helpful with our refund either. The whole situation was not good! Avoid staying here at all costs.
