Hotel De La Mer

This hotel is in a great location, really central to explore Nice. The rooms are clean and spacious for such a central location. However, you have to climb to levels of stairs to get to reception. For anyone who has limited or reduced mobility this hotel is not for you as there is no lift. We were not aware of this and my father really struggled, not helped as it's dark. I wouldn't recommend breakfast here.. lots of lovely eating places very close by and there is just a small table in reception. No coffee / tea making facilities in the room. Not much storage space and not ironing facilities

Easy access to many sights and attractions. The only downside was it being a second story facility with no elevator. That made luggage handling a pain.

Sewage smell in bathroom, 2 codes needed for separate entrances to actual hotel. Bathroom door handle fell off in my hand. Window blind not working. Curtains not fitting properly so hung awry. Will not return.

Great hotel took some finding just a door in the wall no parking outside ended up carrying suitcase from car park but when you opened the shutters the fountain was 100 feet away amazing

Air conditioner didn’t work, had to go out and buy soap & shampoo, ran out of hot water, check-in/entry on the 2nd floor (no lift) required a 5 digit coded but we never were given one, Many other hotels in the area,

Hotel in a very good location, close to everything restaurants, shopping mall, to the tram, to the Promenade. Room is clean. But not sound-proof, you can hear everything fr the other rooms. We asked for the AC to be opened but staff said they don’t operate it until next month. She suggested to open the window, which we did but you can smell foul odor coming from outside probably drainage(?). There was also a smell coming from the bathroom drain.

This hotel is on 2floor with several rooms in the building picture. To access this hotel have to remember building entrance number and hotel entrance number like apt. Very inconvenient and no privacy because the owner stays in front of hotel entrance door more then 18hours and can watch guests. Be careful when you pick up displayed map sheets. The owner shouted when my husband picked up 3 times. So rude and no business mind. Maybe so stressful running business alone.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was cozy but sufficent and clean. The location was wonderful and central, easy walk to beach or restaurants. Staff was very helpful.

Excellent location. We stayed in two hotels in this same area and we liked the other one better than this one but this one was clean and comfortable. The guy at the front desk was not friendly and did not speak much English.

Perfect Last-Minute Stay in Nice: We booked this hotel last minute for a quick stay in Nice, and it was absolutely perfect! The price was very affordable, and they made the experience even better with an easy early check-in, which we greatly appreciated. Although the room was small, it was exactly what we were looking for—clean, cozy, and ideal for a short pop-in stay. The location was convenient, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations for such a spontaneous booking. I would absolutely stay here again for a short visit. Highly recommend!

Cuando llegamos nos llevamos una sorpresa enorme al ver que el “Hotel” en realidad es solo un piso con 4 habitaciones, no se dejen llevar por las fotos ya cuando llegas no puedes usar el ascensor y tienes que subir cargando tus maletas, no hay agua caliente en la ducha y después de la 1 pm si no han limpiado tu habitación ya se queda sucia hasta el día siguiente. Lo único rescatable es la ubicación por que es céntrico pero hay hoteles que si son hoteles que están muy céntricos también y con excelentes instalaciones. ENORME DECEPCIÓN Y ENGAÑO!!!

Firstly, this is a great place for access, its right in the main hub of the old town. So, you have access to loads of bars, restaurants. The tram stops are very close and easy to use. Some of the down sides are that its very noisy early in the morning with refuse lorries, street cleaners etc, even with the double-glazed windows. Another thing to bear in mind is that the rooms are small, functional but small, well room 6 anyway. Also the beds are solid, and if you have a bad back it might do you some good, if you don’t have a bad back you soon will have. The bathroom was fine, but the shower cubical was very small, if you moved to much or turned you it the shower mixer tap and it turned off. You can shower fine, but done move around to much in there, and trust me I am not large person by any means. The rooms were cleaned daily, with bed sheets changed and fresh towels replaced daily, so I cannot fault them for that. We didn’t try the breakfast as there is so many places around, we made of use of them and did some people watching at the same time. On the day of departure, we left our backs at reception, other people had done the same, upon collecting out bags some 6 hours later we went into the hotel and collected our bag, had I not put my hear around the door at reception they would have had no idea of someone taking a bag. So I don’t recommend leaving your bag as you cannot be sure if it has been tampered with or stolen. Advice is keep all your valuables with you at a

Merveilleusement située. Propre mais Premier étage sans ascenseur. Toilette et douche inaccessibles si on fait plus de 30cm de largeur et épaisseur.

On the day of departure, we left our backs at reception, other people had done the same, upon collecting out bags some 6 hours later we went into the hotel and collected our bag, had I not put my hear around the door at reception they would have had no idea of someone taking a bag. We had the balcony room. Only one in the hotel. It was pretty incredible to sit out there each night and watch the people. The location cant be beat!! The staff was always friendly. The room could definitely use some work. Door knobs falling off, almost no hot water and just the over all condition of the workmanship. This hotel has soooo much potential. Just needs a bit of TLC. Overall i would stay hear again for the price point.

This was my second time staying at Hotel de la Mer. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Perfect location and close to everything.

La ubicación es excelente para conocer todos los lugares de interés en los alrededores como comercio, restaurantes y el área de la playa Si vas con maletas, grandes como no hay ascensor, tienes que subir un piso con ellas. Muy bien atendidos en el área de recepción

Fabulous location for the promenade, shops, bars and restaurants. Trams run right outside, 10 mins leisurely walk to the station and tram link to the airport is 5 mins away. A lovely little boutique hotel.

Excellent location

The hotel was right on Place Massena in the heart of Nice. Great staff took care of all your needs and very friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We will come again here.

Location idéale au coeur de la vieille ville! La plage et le marché en moins de cinq minutes de marche. Super! Emplacement parfait et personnel sympathique. La chambre était un peu exiguë, mais comme on n'y était que pour dormir ça n'a pas été un problème.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was everything and the breakfast was okay but an extra 12euros which i rather have gone over to Monopl market and grab my own its better... I would recommand it for short stays not bad, families i recommand you book with the suites more space and the rooms ar a good size , i really like the upstairs top floor suites. over all its good hotel.
