To be fair, I stayed here 2m ago & it was better. Not a great stay this time. Firstly the bait & switch, expedia advertised the room available for $121/night but then charged $150/night on the payment side(tax separate). Our rooms keys did not work for some reason, had them changed 4 times to finally work (thats a lot of inconvenience for just a 2 night stay). The sound proofing in the rooms is nonexistent. It felt like I was sitting at the table, a part of the conversation with the family next door. I could even hear the telephone conversation of the person on the other end! Then the nonstop stomping from the room above after they checked in close to midnight. Turned on the AC & it was so loud, I thought I would need to turn it off to be able to sleep. Left it on anyway, but it didnt seem to work. The room was hot anyway. Beds are not too comfortable. The fitness rm is tiny & not much usable. The pool gas a toxically high amount of chlorine in it. The eyes/nose sting to just enter the pool area. Otherwise, all was ok. The room was clean, microwave & fridge worked, staff was nice.

Clean inside and out. Breakfast was really not worth the listing as an amenities! The reason we booked this hotel was the proximity to university but more so for the hottub and pool. The smell of chlorine was so bad it immediately burned our eyes and we could t even catch our breathe

Good place to stay to sleep, but this is the second year in a row we stayed here and the pool and hot tub chemicals were way off both times. Maybe some one needs training on correct pool chemicals, but just being in the water, with out going under water, your eyes would burn. Again, not a big deal if you come just to sleep, but with kids I pick a place with a pool every time!

Very pleasant welcome at arrival. Clean facilities and room. Very quiet. Parking was a bit challenging, as I had to do a 12 point turn with guidance to get out of my spot, so park wisely. And the hot tub, while clean, we could only stay in for 5 minutes because the chlorine was so strong the vapors burned our eyes (but I can't say it wasn't clean!) My daughter goes to UCONN Storrs and it was a great location. I'll definitely stay here again!

After checking in, the front desk gave us a keycard to a room that had not been cleaned yet. The hot tub was out of order and was actually disgusting with filth in the water. Once the manager was contacted, we were told that the timer was broken, which was evident. There was also some kind of loose debris on the bottom of the hot tub and pool which felt like gravel. Their "hot breakfast" was is not what is advertised. Ended up going to McDonalds instead. Would not recommend this "hotel" in the future to anyone.

This property was dirty. There were ants all over our room. When I went to the front desk to complain and potentially switch rooms the front desk person was not there, I later saw her outside smoking. So we just left and did not stay there.

There is a scented fan in the hallways and the smell they’re pumping through the building is NAUSEATING. It is so so strong. Even with towels at the bottom of the door, the scent had me up all night. On checkout the receptionist just stared at me when I told him the complaint. No excuse, answer, or apology. The room was clean otherwise. Rooms on the 2nd floor— there is no elevator. In my opinion this motel survives due to short distance from UConn. The carpet is too old and stained everywhere (also ugly and depressing but that's a matter of taste). There is a very strong smell of cleaning solution or chemicals of some sort. The stairs/doors layout is very odd. The pool was in a separate building which was inconvenient, but we didn't use it because the water was very dark (it had no lights) and it looked kind of creepy. Room 238 doesn't have hot water (lukewarm at best). Breakfast is just some coffee or tea and a selection of small packaged bakery items (muffins, etc), there were also some yogurts. The beds and pillows were OK and the room was clean. At almost $200/night this hotel is extremely overpriced.

We were in room 106 and it was noisy. Between the footsteps on top of us all night and people talking and yelling in the hallway, was hard to get to sleep. It the room was very nice. Clean and well equipped with microwave and fridge.

Place is fine, room was clean, and facility of quiet. It worked well for our very late arrival (night before college move-in day). It's not fancy, and the backside of the second building has just a small window. One problem was none of our keys worked for the building entrance door closest to our room - the entrance the staff directed us to. Our son went back to get new keys and they still did not work. We had to use a different entrance further from the room.

I liked the fact that the room and bathroom have recently been updated so everything was shiny and new. I don't like the design with room windows facing into a corridor which also means that the room has no fresh air and is stuffy. I had to have the AC on all night which was noisy.

This hotel was good, not great. The staff was probably the highlight of the stay. Everyone was very friendly. The room was clean with comfortable beds. But that’s about it. The tv in our room was basically just a decorative wall hanging. We couldn’t watch tv in the room because it wasn’t connected to wifi or cable. We called the front desk about it several times and were assured the problem would be fixed and that they’d call us back to confirm our tv was working. Neither of those things happened even though I spoke to someone about it 3-4 times. “Adequate” is the best word to describe this hotel. It’s good for a night or two but I wouldn’t recommend it for any lengthy stays or anyone looking for a hotel with a lot of amenities that go beyond the very basic.

Decent room, comfortable stay. The room had an intermittent ‘musty’ smell, perhaps came from the AC. Overall clean & comfortable. Very good to have parking on the property. Very convenient to get to UConn campus which is why we were there.

Older hotel, but overall decent for a 1-night stay. Super close to Eastern Connecticut and UConn. Breakfast consisted of cereal, fresh fruit, prepacked pastries, and drinks (coffee, juice, etc) - McDonald's is across the street and Applebee's next door (with long waits on the weekend).

It was a decent place, but they don't have queen beds just doubles and their pillows are very uncomfortable. Their breakfast they offer is cereal, fruit and packaged pastries.

The room was very dated, but also very clean. The main things I didn’t love were 1) smell of carpets in calls, 2) Room had no actual window. The window looked out into the hallway, 3) the light outside our room in the hall seemed to be on a timer, but at first it didn’t work despite it being dark in the hall. Then it did finally turn on once really dark.

I arrived to this hotel with my work bag at approximately 3:30 pm . There was no one in reception , i pushed the bell on desk , no one . I had a conference meeting at 4:00 pm so i needed to be settled . I started calling hotel, no answer , i then called customer service and started to tell the operator that i had been waiting for ten minutes . A voice from the door popped out and started screaming at me that it has not been 10 minutes ! And there’s only 3 of them working there and i should understand . I then told her that i was worried about room location from reviews.. she then went on a rampage ! Started yelling that if i didn’t like it to go somewhere else ! That i obviously stayed there because the other hotel is too expensive ! And to tell her if im staying or not ! By this point , i had missed my meeting .. and she said its $250 for incidental security ! I have never ever been verbally attacked like that in a hotel reception .. the only reason i stayed was because it was the closest hotel to UCONN where my daughter attends and the other hotel was $500+ for a Wednesday night . Breakfast included - consisted of Walmart wrapped mini muffins and coffee machine .

Supposed "staff member" keyed into my room at midnight. When calling the front desk to complain, the manager said we could leave if we wanted. Good thing we had the door stopper in place because the deadbolt didn't work. All around a terrible experience.

Could give zero stars. Did not stay because they could not accommodate for a handicapped person even though their website said they could when we made the reservation. We learned this a couple of days before the event we were going to, hotels were full. Manager to assist was only available between 7-3pm! We ended up not going to our event!

This hotel was good, not great. The staff was probably the highlight of the stay. Everyone was very friendly. The room was clean with comfortable beds. But that’s about it. The tv in our room was basically just a decorative wall hanging. We couldn’t watch tv in the room because it wasn’t connected to wifi or cable. We called the front desk about it several times and were assured the problem would be fixed and that they’d call us back to confirm our tv was working. Neither of those things happened even though I spoke to someone about it 3-4 times. “Adequate” is the best word to describe this hotel. It’s good for a night or two but I wouldn’t recommend it for any lengthy stays or anyone looking for a hotel with a lot of amenities that go beyond the very basic.

Nobody at the desk when we arrived at 730. Lobby toilet out of order. Door keys never worked properly (after multiple tries). Smell in the hallway was awful, like sour licorice. Air conditioning was very loud. We didn’t stay for the second night of our reservation. Even though we didn’t get any money back, it was worth it.

Jenilu was the person that helped me check in. She was so sweet and accommodating. We had flown in on a redeye and she allowed us an early check in since the rooms were ready. She even walked us up to our rooms to show us where we were staying. Rooms were clean! They also served breakfast and were extremely reasonable in price. I would absolutely love to stay there again. Lots of shopping and food options nearby.

Issues at check in typically reserve mobility accessible, disconnect during check-in staff was a little dramatic when I requested a first floor room and we were travelling from Florida to CT; let's just say only one of us should have been dramatic, many traffic issues seemed overwhelmed insisting hotel was sold out. Our assigned room was on 2nd floor, with no elevator and the very end of building thankfully there was a chair mid way to the room. Room's AC sounded like a washer continually on spin cycle, room was not properly cooling.

Very clean, staff is friendly. Breakfast is included however I think it could be better add real breakfast eggs, sausage, waffles etc. The cereal is not fresh and they only put out a few fruits which goes quick. Definitely need enough food to feed the guests.

Everything about the room met our expectations. It was clean and met our needs for a one night stay. The breakfast option were underwhelming. I still would chose to stay here again but the next time I would know to get breakfast someplace else.

The hotel advertised that they had a free breakfast…what they put out wasn’t even a continental breakfast. The only coffee they served was decaf. No juices at all. Muffins and yogurt and packs of oatmeal that we could mix with warm, not hot water, it was all so awful. Really Expedia should not advertise this as a place that serves breakfast. I would like an explanation from Expedia about what breakfast is. We paid a lot for this room

All of the booking sites had said “breakfast included” however the breakfast was only pre packaged muffins and yogurts and a coffee machine. It was fine, but not what was advertised. Additionally, the room was clean enough but not perfect and the beds were particularly uncomfortable - I felt the mattress springs all night.

We liked the convenience to UConn. We did not like the fact that the hairdryer did not work (although the desk clerk delivered one to the room straight away), and breakfast in a word was awful. The seating and food choices were very limited, and there was no regular coffee (only decaf).

Rooms was musty had two rooms that connected, both were musty smelling. First room has ac filter light on I had to clean it myself had a bunch of lint in it, the door that connected the rooms together when opening it there was left over popcorn and other foods on the floor. Tub was dirty, front desk vacuumed the old food that was on the floor for us as there was no cleaning person there.

I was so disappointed in this hotel. We had very little options to choose from for hotels near UConn and I knew this wasn’t going to be fancy, but I assumed as a Best Western it would at least be acceptable. The smell in the lobby was awful and the walls were plywood. Then we got into our room, on the first floor and it was so damp everything felt wet. The smell was the worst part - just awful, mildewy, wet-carpet smell. The beds were comfortable, but the smallest double bed I’ve even been in and the sheets were inside out. The bathroom was clean and I was happy to have a fridge - the only positives I can think of. Overall, this is the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in and I would not recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough! The accommodations were incredibly spacious, giving our family plenty of room to relax, and the entire space was bright and filled with fantastic lighting. It is truly a perfect, safe, and comfortable environment for families. The absolute highlight of our trip was the manager, Jenilu, who was incredibly kind, hospitable, and went completely out of her way to be helpful. Her exceptional service made us feel right at home, and we will definitely stay here again!

Travelers who rely on a warm breakfast should be waned this hotel does not offer one. I was otherwise very impressed, though. It was clean, well-appointed, quiet, with ample parking and some good dining options close by. Bed was wonderful, shower and electrical fixtures all great too.
