A quiet, lived-in and lovely place in Oban. The place is charming and easily walkable to all Oban has to offer, but with easy parking to stash your car. We only stayed for a night during 2022 so didn't access/use any common areas, but our room was cozy and had everything we needed.

From the moment I arrived at Blair Villa Bed and Breakfast, I was enchanted by its charming ambiance and beautifully decorated and curated interiors, which exuded warmth and welcome. The owners were friendly, warm, and helpful, making my stay not just comfortable but truly memorable. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was cozy, with an updated bathroom with hot water and admirable water pressure – a true luxury after a day of exploring Oban. The breakfast, a delightful assortment of yogurt, croissants, fruit, and granola bars, was conveniently delivered daily to the mini-fridge in my room. While it was not a hot breakfast, it was thoroughly satisfying and the perfect start to my mornings. The bed deserves a special mention for its comfort and the fluffiest pillows. This B&B's prime location in Oban is unbeatable, and while there is no designated parking, finding a free spot was surprisingly easy during my visit. Welcoming, clean and perfect for our one night stay. A charming B&B. Would stay again. Breakfast was a takeaway ‘doggy bag’ containing juice, fruit, croissant & muesli bar, which was great for us as we had an early start. It is located up hill from the town centre, so the steep walk will not suit all. On street parking on the road outside.

We were initially taken aback by the steep, and narrow hill on which the B&B is situated. Parking was limited, so we ended up in a car park in town. After dragging our luggage up to the residence, we were out of breath. Inside, more steps up to the room. And, oh, what a room. Not large, but lovingly kitted out with Victoria-era style fittings. The pillows are a tad thick and firm. Hard to on the neck. We slept nine hours! Breakfast is a to-go bag in a tiny in-Rom fridge. Bananas, granola bars, cheese, croissants, yogurt, and juice. More than adequate. Overall, a surprise, and a delight.

Gracious hosts, incredibly comfortable room and charming place, especially decked out for Christmas. Parking was easy (and free) and this was helpful as we had a rental car. Once there, we were able to walk everywhere in Oban we wanted to go. Highly recommend staying here!

Our room was perfect! The Villa is only 2 blocks away from the shopping and dinning areas in Oban and we were able to walk to and from them easily. We also enjoyed the communal sitting area with views of the harbor and the Isle of Mull. This was our favorite accommodations throughout our 14 day stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of in room amenities, very clean, lovely sitting room overlooking the bay, parking at the front door and 5 minutes walk from town centre. What's not to like !

Beautiful Victorian house with comfortable rooms and luxurious modern bathrooms. The room had charming decorations and a comfortable bed, and even included a floor-standing fan, which was a huge relief when the day we stayed turned out to be unusually warm. The owners were nice, friendly people. The location is great, just a little up the hill from the train station, ferry terminal, and city center of Oban, on a quiet residential street.

Our stay was wonderful…very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely House and beautiful room. Modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was stocked with continental breakfast every day, Room was tidied and clean towels supplied on a daily basis. Only drawback was a steep walk up to house especially when you have luggage. Very convenient though to Main Street on the harbour.

Great location, awesome host, unique B&B with antiques and great view of Oban bay. Favorite place I stayed on my 3 week adventure to Scotland. Modern shower, great bed, but also antiques everywhere, and cool architecture because uts an old house.

Everything was as described! No false expectations here! This place is all about the Location-Location-Location! Park and drop off your bags and walk Oban! Easy key fob entry. Bathroom updates were excellent. USB connections by both nightstands. Bag of breakfast was soooooooo thoughtful and served as our picnic on the go, driving up to Glencoe. I totally understand why this place is given 10 Stars despite the steep stairs. It's a gem, book it!

I was so grateful to find this absolute gem! Incredibly clean, comfortable, charming. Private bath in every room. Hosts so kind and accommodating (held my luggage on check-out day while i finished activities in town). Cold breakfast snacks in fridge. Tea/coffee and shortbread in room. Easy walk from rail station (though up a steep hill). I loved my time in Oban and this lovely place to stay was a big part.

A lovely house converted to hotel with artwork and furnishings in the parlor that you would expect for its era. The room and bed were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water. The host kindly met us at the door and made us feel right at home providing directions to the places we wanted to visit. I highly recommend staying here.

Proprietors were lovely and welcoming. The inn was beautiful and unique. While small, the room was outfitted well with a generous tea set up and a modern bathroom. A healthy breakfast was provided. Good location just a few minutes walk from town.

Beautiful home, lovely room with comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was disappointing, simply a paper bag with yogurt, croissants, fruit, cheese, granola bars. We still enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were lovely but didn’t introduce themselves or seem to want to chat.
Beautiful home, lovely room with comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was disappointing, simply a paper bag with yogurt, croissants, fruit, cheese, granola bars. We still enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were lovely but didn’t introduce themselves or seem to want to chat.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. My husband and I stayed for just 2 nights before tying the knot in Appin. We arrived early and didn’t expect to be able to check in until the booked time, but they went out of their way to accommodate us early. The room was very nice and clean, and the whole property was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and has amazing character - also with a fantastic view! They also supplied our room with tea, coffee and a mini fridge pre-stocked with some breakfast/snacks! The property is quite close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go in Oban from the property! We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay!

Staying in Oban is challenging - the location of Blair Villa is a benefit and a liability, depending on how you see it - located on the highest road atop the town, it doesn't have any noise or neighbor issues, but you might not want to climb the hill after a evening's merriment. The room was comfortable but small, with breakfast offered in a takeaway bag rather than a buffet, and everything seemed well kept although we didn't get to chat with the owner much.

I had a very comfortable stay here. The location, although up quite a steep hill was very easily walked from town and the bus/train and ferry terminal. A perfect spot from which you can explore Oban and the area.

When arriving (earlier than check-in time), the landlord was welcoming us heartly and both booked rooms were ready to move in. Rooms were really clean and well equipped and lately renovated. Location perfect, 5 mins walk from centre of Oban. When leaving all went smoothly and the lovely owner pair was fairwelling us. I can recommend from all of my heart.

Welcoming, clean and perfect for our one night stay. A charming B&B. Would stay again. Breakfast was a takeaway ‘doggy bag’ containing juice, fruit, croissant & muesli bar, which was great for us as we had an early start. It is located up hill from the town centre, so the steep walk will not suit all. On street parking on the road outside.

Gracious hosts, incredibly comfortable room and charming place, especially decked out for Christmas. Parking was easy (and free) and this was helpful as we had a rental car. Once there, we were able to walk everywhere in Oban we wanted to go. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful Victorian house with comfortable rooms and luxurious modern bathrooms. The room had charming decorations and a comfortable bed, and even included a floor-standing fan, which was a huge relief when the day we stayed turned out to be unusually warm. The owners were nice, friendly people. The location is great, just a little up the hill from the train station, ferry terminal, and city center of Oban, on a quiet residential street.

Quiet little place on top of a hill overlooking Oban. Room was very clean and stylish. Sack breakfast was adequate and good for early morning travel.

We had a great stay at the Blair Villa and highly recommend! The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the home felt like an authentic Scottish experience. It was convenient location - walkable to everything in town. The room was clean and comfy, and the hosts even left snacks/breakfast in the fridge for us each day. 5 stars!

Attention to detail, is the description I would give. The little things, like a rain shower, plugs equipped with USB, a coffee press, wonderful breakfast takeaway. Would highly recommend!

My room was small, but bathroom was very spacious. Owner kept my fridge stocked with breakfast items. Fridge needs to be colder. Wifi could be better. Other wise it was perfect. I liked that is was clean and quite. Old house was very cute. Guests were reading in the upstairs louge. If you have a car, there didnt appear to be any parking. Ower kept to himself a bit, but very friendly. I've been to Scotand 12 times, so I'm very independent. My local tour guide friend stayed nearby at Royal hotel, and his hotel was very hot and noisy (this B&B was close in price and way better than royal hotel).

We had a lovely stay. It was really convenient to walk into town. The breakfast in the fridge was amazing considering we had early starts! And we found parking right outside. The decor is really nice too. You can tell it's a labour of love. Only reason I dock a star is because the mattress wasn't great for 2 people to sleep on. If one person moves around the other one moves too so it was hard to get to sleep. The duvet was also excessively warm for summer even with the fan running. We had to take it out and just use the cover.
