The room was spacious, modern and very comfortable. Particularly the bed which was king sized. The amenities in the room were excellent. My only disappointment was that the lift was not working when I checked out and there were no staff on hand. Meaning I had to carry two large suitcases down the stairs. But that was the only drawback to a very pleasant stay.

Clean, spacious room, excellent bathroom. Comfortable bed, good shower, useful additional amenities such as a toaster and fridge. Ample parking spaces although the ramp to the 1st floor parking area does require careful negotiation.

Had trouble with the air conditioner the room was very hot as we couldn’t get the air conditioner to work properly. on Sunday morning at 7.45am we thought we would’ve of had a sleep but in it sounded like a rock concert all we could here was very loud music drums this went on till 10 am coming from down stairs or one of the rooms . We had a senior lunch on arrival in the bistro. Lamb shanks where under cooked tough and dry didn’t fall off the bone although the sauce was tasty & Garlic prawns 5 litlle prawns sauce & rice for $26 didn’t think it was worth the money. The. Lift to the accommodation was still broken from our last stay over a year and a half ago

Easy check in with friendly staff. Great meal at the bistro below the accommodation. Verv clean and comfortable room with breakfast included. Have to rave about the bathroom. Newly renovated with a dual showerhead shower, it was the most amazing shower I have ever had. Thank you for a really great stay. .

We booked a family-style room for our short one-night stay - and it was huge, quiet, clean and comfortable. Immediately overwhelmed by a smell of chorine (or bleach?) which didn't seem to go. Massive modern bathroom (double head shower and large bath). Kettle had burnt element so couldn't use water boiled in it (tasted disgusting). Handy having cereal/toast for breakfast in the room. Kids loved having bath robes to wear. Overall very good value. Shame the kettle was unusable.

Very spacious room. Staff were great. Friendly and courteuos A little more attention to detail with cleaning of room would be good. For example, cups and bowls put through the dishwasher to ensure they are cleaned well.(Some were not very clean and appeared to be just rinsed, not washed prooerly. Check fridge and drawers are clean. We noticed food wrappers in several drawers in our room.

I was very impressed with the size of the room. Sometimes the pictures don't deliver on the actual property, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, however the bathroom contained hair from previous guests (on the wall and floor of shower). There was also a lot of noise from the carpark, and we were woken at 4am by people talking (not yelling) outside. One other suggestion I'd make is better signage for where to check in (i.e. a sign above the desk, as when we arrived someone was standing in front of the sign below the desk so it wasn't able to be seen).

It’s a great place to stay. Although there is a pub downstairs - the noise does not travel to the rooms upstairs. Comfortable, clean, spacious and fairly priced. I’d definitely go there again.

We had to arrive late after reception was closed due to long distance and attending event. Rang them during the day, check-in was done over phone and key was left waiting for us with staff when we arrived at 11pm. Everyone was super friendly and extremely helpful. Room was very spacious and clean. Great location. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff are amazing the Manager, Hazel could do enough for us especially when we had an issue with the electronic key to our room. The staff in the bistro were super friendly and it was wonderful how they look after their older guests.

Don't get there early you'll be told that Check in is 2.00.pm. not any earlier, quite disappointing knowing that your room is ready but but you're not allowed to check in. About 4 of us guests were there 30- 60 minutes early . Bed wasn't very comfortable maybe getting old. Also the pillows are worn. No coffee table to sit and have a coffee or any food. Very annoyingly.staff are nice but unfortunately not accommodating.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with plumbing which required a change of room so we were upgraded and compensated for the inconvenience. The staff on duty that night and the next day should be commended for their outstanding assistance.

The place didnt look much from the outside but I pleasantly surprised by the rooms. They were spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Easy walking diatance to Mornington, safe and secure building with easy access free parking on-site and a great base to travel around the peninsular.

Really loved that the mattress was firm - finally a hotel bed that didn't sag - amazing. Didn't love the 6am wake up when the skip bins were being emptied followed by the tradies dumping waste in the empty bins at 7am.

Really loved that the mattress was firm - finally a hotel bed that didn't sag - amazing. Didn't love the 6am wake up when the skip bins were being emptied followed by the tradies dumping waste in the empty bins at 7am.

My room was huge, and well appointed. The free breakfast provided in the room was appreciated. Was a little confusing to find reception, parking and my room. Parking area is quite tight for maneuvering. Not much in the immediate area, but the restaurant and bar downstairs are convenient.

We are living our stay at this property. The room is huge and modern. The staff are super friendly and helpful. So many convenient food options on the property and nearby. Food in the bistro was lovely. GreWe will definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was huge, clean and a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was also big with bothw a walk I shower and large spa tub. Great bistro to eat in and they also provide free, basic continental breakfast in your room of cereal, bread to toast and spreads. Good location and a great stay. Would certainly stay there again

Had a great one night stay at the Mornington hotel. The room was very spacious. The bathrooms have been recently renovated so they are nice and clean. We also ordered some desserts from the bistro which were delivered to the room. Would highly recommend if visiting in the area.

The shower is danderous for older guests accou nt tiles extremely slippy when wet with nothing to holdon to if need be. My evening meal of the seniors daily roast was very poor with the roast potatoes almost inedible. Must have been cooked the day prior and reheated,

Had trouble with the air conditioner the room was very hot as we couldn’t get the air conditioner to work properly. on Sunday morning at 7.45am we thought we would’ve of had a sleep but in it sounded like a rock concert all we could here was very loud music drums this went on till 10 am coming from down stairs or one of the rooms . We had a senior lunch on arrival in the bistro. Lamb shanks where under cooked tough and dry didn’t fall off the bone although the sauce was tasty & Garlic prawns 5 litlle prawns sauce & rice for $26 didn’t think it was worth the money. The. Lift to the accommodation was still broken from our last stay over a year and a half ago

Easy check in with friendly staff. Great meal at the bistro below the accommodation. Verv clean and comfortable room with breakfast included. Have to rave about the bathroom. Newly renovated with a dual showerhead shower, it was the most amazing shower I have ever had. Thank you for a really great stay. .

As always, the Mornington Hotel stay was excellent. The rooms are big and spacious; the beds are very comfortable and importantly the bathrooms are clean and big, plenty of room. The hotel meals are very good as well. It is a great place to stay and I always look forward to coming back.

Great friendly service from start to finish. The food was quick and tasted great. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Great value for money. Bath was huge - a bit weirdly shaped (couldn’t relax as the internal shape just slid you down under the water). Mattress was a bit uncomfortable- bed felt a bit humped. As we were walking out my partner asked me how I had slept and I commented the pillow didn’t suit me. The lady in the service room overheard and offered to change my pillows for me. Offered me the choice of two. Was so lovely and helpful - a real standout to us. (And yes the pillow on second night was much better - thank you).

Excellent choice. Check-in was simple after we were directed to reception, then up the stairs with our keycards. The room was very large and, in fact, contained an extra single bed. There was ample hanging in the wardrobe, which we used mainly for coats, it being 12c when we arrived (end of May). We stayed two nights, and room service came in while we were out on the Sunday and straightened up the bed and emptied the bins. The room was lovely and warm, as was the bathroom, with its fantastic bath - great after a day in the cold. We ate in the restaurant the first night; my pick was a quite fiery Nasi Goring with my husband choosing from the Specials Menu a not so spicy calamari dish - the opposite of our expectations, but both enjoyed thoroughly. It was busy in there, being Saturday, and it was lovely to see the mix of patrons from kids to the older generation, and the staff were bustling around excellently. There was slight noise up to around 10.30pm as a party was underway, but it didn't stop our watching TV or sleeping. We visited 'Thrift', which is slightly outside town, and then Tyabb Antique Centre and another second-hand place, as well as walking to the centre of town to explore the shops. We saw a 'Steak House' and booked for Sunday night. It was superb, and with drinks wasn't as expensive as I feared. Mornington Hotel is a great base for staying on the Peninsula. I would have loved there to be mugs, and not cups; and Hot-chocolate sachets for the cold season.
