Booked this hotel at the very last minute, just for a 1-night stay. Frankly, i wish we could have stayed longer! Super friendly and accommodating staff, great food, comfortable rooms and in a lovely location, very close to the Wirral coast. Lively atmosphere when we arrived on Friday evening ... the pub is unsurprisingly very popular .... which was just what we needed. All quiet before midnight though, so we had a lovely praceful sleep. No complaints at all ... will happily stay again if in the area.

The property was in an off the centre situation. With it's own car park. Well appointed rooms comfortable, looked after by good staff who are attentive helpful and friendly. The bar has a good range beers wines spirits, also good menu, breakfast is extensive and hearty. The property is in a good area,to explore the peninsula and surrounds.

Great pub & restaurant. All staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Food is excellent & well priced. Rooms are clean & have plenty of tea/coffee, not like some hotels who only leave 2 tea bags with no variety! Great breakfast menu too! I would highly recommend to friends!!!

Lovely room which was very clean. Bed was comfortable. The pub restaurant was lovely although we did not have our evening meal there. The breakfast was hot and one of the best I have ever had.

Difficult to comment. On the whole a reasonable stay. Bedrooms at the front had a nice view but would be noisy if the outside patio were busy. Our room shook when the front door were closed. Good breakfast. Staff were pleasant enough. Staircase had crumbs on it the whole time we were there, so obviously not cleaned. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom

We liked the hotel. Very much and the room was very clean and pleasant. However, the bathroom facilities were not upto standard. Poor shower not much water power and the basin taps were very slow . The light above the basin was broken and diid not work.

There was no heating on in our room when we arrived, and considering it was -2° outside, we expected more the heater in the bathroom didnt work and it was so cold in there that I couldn't have a shower before going out.. I was told it probably hadn't come on yet and she would sort it but the room didnt get very warm at all night.. Apart from that i cannot fault the Jug and bottle the food both for our evening meal and breakfast was excellent great quality and enough choice . The staff are very friendly and accomodating and we would certainly come back

Staff were fantastic, meals were really well presented, good value and fresh. Rooms were quiet, really comfortable and cosy. They smell so fresh, unlike the usual pub bedrooms I have stayed in.

Great hotel, lovely staff and very tasty breakfast (you must try the scrambled eggs). The only thing that lets it down is the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. Bring your earplugs or you’ll be awake at the same time as your neighbours.

The staff of the Jug & Bottle were very welcoming from the moment we contacted them to tell them we would be late. We were completely wasted when we arrived due to late flights and horrible driving conditions, and Jonty and Alice, and the rest of the staff, rescued us. Dinner that night provided a delicious means to recover from our trip. Andy, the Manager, welcomed us at breakfast, which was lovely, and provided us with a number of delicious options. We had a great dinner to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday with family, who lived nearby. The room, though a bit small, was very comfortable, clean, and made our stay a great experience. I can't say enough nice things about this property and its staff.

Every member of staff throughout our visit was wonderful, everyone was exceptionally pleasant and helpful from happily volunteering to carry our bags and cases upstairs to happy greetings and helpful attentive service at breakfast and in the bar, and such nice room service ladies...made it a super stay!...well done all at the Jug and Bottle, we highly recommend!

Every member of staff throughout our visit was wonderful, everyone was exceptionally pleasant and helpful from happily volunteering to carry our bags and cases upstairs to happy greetings and helpful attentive service at breakfast and in the bar, and such nice room service ladies...made it a super stay!...well done all at the Jug and Bottle, we highly recommend!

Lovely room which was very clean. Bed was comfortable. The pub restaurant was lovely although we did not have our evening meal there. The breakfast was hot and one of the best I have ever had.

Lovely stay. Stayed in a few plsces in The Wirral and this is our favourite. Super helpful, friendly staff. Rooms are boutique like and comfortable. Breakfast is lovely and a good choice.

The room we had was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to move around. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner on our first night and the food and service was excellent throughout. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at The Jug and Bottle . Food was excellent and a really tasty breakfast included in the price. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area .

Room was very clean and tidy. It is a really popular pub I stayed on a Friday night and was so glad I had booked a table before arriving. Dinner was amazing as was the breakfast which was freshly made for you.

Well from the welcome to the last minute we could not fault this place. Location fantastic with great views of the River Dee. All the staff weee super friendly even the manager/owner! We checked in slightly early at 13:30pm, had a couple of drinks in the bar to then later on having evening meal all fab. Plenty of choice on the menu and delicious.. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The shower super powerful. Sockets either side of the bed as well. The breakfast was really good plenty of choices for all even gluten option. We would definitely recommend staying here for sure.👍
