Spacious Secluded Cabin on 100 Acres Near Red River Gorge

Our experience was quite different from the reviews that we read. First off- the pluses. The cabin is gorgeous, relaxing, beautifully decorated (craftsmanship and decor), and overall well-stocked. The comfort of the beds (which for us is a huge component of any stay) was top-notch. We slept really well. We spent hours watching the trees sway in the breeze and listening to the birds. Second- the drawbacks. Communication was non-existent. We received the basic check-in information and that was it. I’m glad we arrived during daylight hours because the arrival directions should be more specific. When we made it to the cabin the trash was not taken out. There was wet laundry in the wash and a full load of dry laundry in the drier but no detergent. I sent a message through Vrbo and called the provided phone number and no one got back to me at all. There was mildew in the bottom of the hot pot and in the washer. The loft area had crumbs. There was plenty of wood laid out for the firepit but a lighter was lacking. The directions in an initial email said to take out the trash and do the dishes. No problem. Then at the cabin it tells you to take the trash down the drive to the dumpster. We had a small packed car. Again another area of weak communication. The trash bag split and we couldn’t find more trash bags. Even though we liked the cabin itself, there are other options in the area and the problems we experienced outweigh a return.

Clean, great outdoor space

We came from Italy and had such a great experience. Really amazing stay, great details that make it feel super cozy and homelike. Effort did not go unoticed! We left a board game for the next visitors… Ps. Found the YouTube channel and really enjoyed that too !

Very secluded, much needed.

The cabin was excellent. Clean, plenty of room for my wife and I and 5 grandkids. Wood burning stove in living area kept us toasty; maybe a little too toasty. Kids made s’mores over fire pit. One problem. Be sure and call or text property manager. Directions can be confusing and only tell you how to find cabin if you’re coming in from west side of town. Coming in from the east directions not given. But we’d gladly do it again and again. Property managers are nice.
