The Seaview Hotel And Restaurant

Lovely old fashioned hotel with lots of character. Seaview is an excellent place for a relaxing break on the Isle of Wight.

We had stayed at SH decades ago when our kids were little. I chose to revisit with my wife last weekend to celebrate my 64th birthday. The hotel has a slight quirkiness due to its personal service but that is a big part of its charm. We had a beautiful meal in Aquitaine and lovely breakfasts in the bistro. Our room in the annex was a beautiful, spacious, spotless room with SuperKing bed, fabulous en-suite with special shower-bath. All the staff have genuine and generous interest and care for the guests. The hotel location in sleepy Seaview is perfect for us. We did a fantastic walk along the coast from the SH one day with a packed lunch from Lily’s Cafe 100m up the High Street. We were also able to visit many lovely places on the island, all within a maximum of 1hr drive. We’ll be back.

Our experience of the Seaview Hotel started with the wonderful welcome we received. We arrived late in the evening when Reception was closed and we were checked in, helped with parking, shown to our room and were made to feel so welcome. The bar was a welcome stop before bed. The breakfast is fantastic, as is the choice. The friendly staff and guests enabled us to settle in and relax. We had a wonderful stay in the IOW and the Seaview Hotel. Such a relaxing place to stay we will want to come again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Seaview Hotel, the room was spotless, spacious & air conditioned! The food was amazing and the staff were happy & helpful. The hotel is a gem of a place in a beautiful location close to the sea. To top it all, it was happy hour at the bar when we arrived!!
