Platanes Hotel Apartments Rethymno

Good: The modern courtyard pool (Banana tree's in the boarders but I would not call it a garden). Room & communal area's clean. Maid service daily. Safe deposit box included in the price. Location good. (You can easily reach everything you want.) 2 x main beds good thick mattresses/ clean sheets/ clean towels. Close to a good supermarket. Poor: The kitchenette needs ripping out as dilapidated & very poorly equipped. The hob did not work, they provided a 2 ring camping hob. No oven or any way to heat flat bread/ pizza. (A very small assortment of mismatched cutlery crockery 1 x saucepan kettle and 2 mugs, I suspect previous guests left behind. 2 x wine glasses provided upon request. Bread knife but no board. No serving dishes or storage for fridge. No brush & dustpan. The old but cold hand painted fridge is novel! (We purchased kitchen cleaning products, washed everything & moved it to wardrobe so we could at least do breakfast). The electric trip switch tripped one night. The rest of the furniture is very old and again badly hand painted brown. 1 x thin pillow per bed. Stand the right way in shower to avoid flooding the bathroom as curtain ineffective. The condition of the studio did not affect our holiday one bit as we spent very little time there & we are used to camping! However, purpose of us booking studio (not a room) was to be flexible. We were travelling round Crete & got better value for money elsewhere. (same price per night)

Mycket bra läge. Nära till fin strand och mysig liten stad, även till busshållsplats om man vill ta sig utanför Platanes. Personalen var otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam. Poolområdet var fint, lugnt och det fanns alltid gott om solstolar. Rummet var ok, med litet kök och trevlig balkong. Det enda negativa var att wifi inte fungerade särskilt bra i rummet.

Helt ok sted å bo på for noen dagers ferie.
