I chose this hotel because it was a Hilton brand. I also understood that Spark would be a basic, low budget hotel so my expectations were not super high. But I was disappointed about several issues upon checking into the room. 1. The room was not cleaned well. There were white spots on the floor that looked like milk. The floor was sticky. The nighstand had sticky droppings of some unknown substance that was orange. An electrical contraption left like maintenance had been working but didn't clean up. Water was on the floor by the AC unit. The bath tub needs refinishing. Nothing cleaned on cleaning day either. 2. The lobby was decorated nice, but when we checked in there were very few snacks and the coffee machine was down. 3. There isn't any hot breakfast. Just cold. The next morning the coffee machine was till down so we were not able to have coffee. We ordered Doordash. 4. The TV only had channels from the TV Guide. No HBO, no cable. So if you didn't have your login for the streaming app, TV was aweful. There were probably 20 channels and half of those channels didn't work or had bad reception. Be prepared not to enjoy TV. 5. The room had an ajourning room door. It was paper thin. I heard almost everything the neighboring person did in their bathroom. Disappointing for a Hilton brand. Other than that. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating.

Breakfast was limited quantity ounce finished no refill. Boiled eggs are served cold with limited quantity. Cereal machine not working. Yogurt stores in a freezing unused machine. No toast. ... etc.

Huge disappointment. Hilton needs to do something about this place as it is so below any Hilton standard that I've seen. The hotel is clearly in some sort of transition and some of the common areas were filthy - elevator was disgusting, stairs were dirty and hallways not clean. The elevator did not function properly to the degree guests avoided it and climbed stairs out of concern of getting stuck in the elevator. It was taking up to 2-3 minutes for the door to close. Upon attempting to open the door to the suite, the door was jammed and I was unable to open it. The attendant went back to the room with me and instructed me to "shoulder" the door hard in order for it to open. Once I did that, it was obvious that the locking mechanism was in terrible shape and needed to be replaced. The guest room was cleaner, however there were paint splattered on tile floors and the HVAC in the suite's outer room was not fully operational. It was a very large living room with barely any furniture in it and no TV. The shower was great and would have been much better had there been body soap in the dispenser. Showering with shampoo is not a preferred modality. The ice room was totally empty on 2nd floor. The breakfast was a total bust. The bagels were very stale, and the breakfast options were very poor. It was one of the worse experiences I've had in a hotel. I have been using Hilton properties for years and this was the worst I've seen. I do not recommend this property at all.
