Very nice mini vacation (2 nights). Ocean views from across the street (although there is no beach across the street) nice to walk and look at the water. Room nicely decorated in a retro feel. Parking was strictly enforced for guests only. Good to know you'll have a parking space when returning from a day at the beach or sightseeing. All the staff we came in contact with (front desk, housekeeping and waitress) were helpful and very pleasant with the exception of the bar staff who were very slow to acknowledge our party sitting at the bar, otherwise engaged with the group of young female guests. Our room was in the back of the property, not in the main house. Only complaint is housekeeping, and garbage bins were in our pathway to our car. It would be nice if they were not in sight of guests. Also, we had a direct view of the back of the kitchen where they prepped some food outside. Again, should be kept out of view with a simple fence. These are easy fixes and I would recommend this property to others.

The location was fantastic, however, we were in room 32 over the kitchen, and, it was noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with the parking issue.

The décor in the rooms and the view was spectacular. Great location, outside fire pit was super cozy. I was able to walk along the water on the side walk for quick workout and to enjoy the beach

This hotel is showing photos of chairs on a lawn overlooking the ocean. When I asked at the desk about using this area I was told it’s a restaurant and the hotel is unaffiliated with the attached restaurant and I would need to talk to the restaurant about the chairs. They did let me sit but wanted to bring us drinks. In reality the hotel sits farther back and there is no where to sit and relax and look at the water unless you go and eat at the restaurant. I feel like the hotel is not honestly representing itself. Disappointed.

Had a great stay at The Shore House - dog-friendly with a fee - came with a cute goodie bag of a toy, treat, paper bowl, and some poop bags. Room was spacious and pretty design. Sink was a bit awkward as the faucet was too big/long for the sink tub. But overall, the room was very comfortable. Location was perfect, great for walking the dog along the water, and a short drive to a dog friendly beach.

I was in Naragansett for 4 nights for a family beach trip. Unfortunately I did not know until I arrived at the property that there was no elevator and my room was on the second floor. I am an older woman with arthritic knees so this was definitely a problem for me. Fortunately, there was someone to help me up with my bag. Basically, it was a very nice property....clean and comfortable. The shower and toilet were in one area and the sink was in another. The sink was tiny and difficult to use....ie....brushing my teeth over this little sink was difficult. Also, the walls were thin and children in the next room made a hell of a lot of noise at 7am!! Breakfast in the lobby was sufficient. The restaurant food and service were good. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall....it was a good experience.

The dumpster had trash outside of it for days. You could smell it from the front side of the building. Bags of wash sat out in the parking lot. Floors were never cleaned. Breakfast was sad- just don’t do it. Day old frozen danish and stale bagels were not appetizing. Parking should be assigned spots- the shuffling was crazy. Location was great.

It’s a nice location right across from the water a nice building and our room had a cute little balcony on it and the decor in the room is bright and colorful and updated. The room was a little bit dirty when we got there there were some pretzels under the bureau And little things like that but other than that relatively clean. The breakfast was some pastries, coffee, fruit, and yogurt, but there weren’t very many pastries put out so even by 8 o’clock I think there was maybe one cinnamon roll available but the breakfast went until 10 AM. They may have restocked at different times but when I was in a couple times, there were no pastries left. It has a very nice front porch that looks out at the water, cute lobby, friendly staff.

The rooms weren’t as kept as they appear to be online and the beds are the most uncomfortable I’ve ever experienced. There was also a mildew smell to the room. Would not return.

Room floor was visibly dirty with dirt and hair. Once the floor got wet it was very disgusting. It’s as if the floor never gets mopped. Beds are short. I am 5’6” and my feet were hanging off the bed.

The motel part of the hotel is where we stayed, no ocean view. It was clean & quiet. The free breakfast buffet was good. Bagels to toast, mini muffins, cereal, & yogurts. When I tried to book an extra night, the prices were $200 more than most of the other hotels in the area. Didn’t feel it was worth that much more.

We were given a dirty room that we had booked. When we walked in and noticed full trash cans, hair, and an unmade bed, we went back to the front. They switched us from a king to a double, which also unfortunately wasn’t as good of an ocean view and was more of the parking lot. The second room also had problems with the ac unit which dispersed dirt/mold onto one of the beds throughout the night. It would also shut off every 30 min so we would have to get up and turn it back on. While the staff were nice, they seemed to care little about our concerns about the cleanliness of the rooms. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again and cannot recommend, as we were given nothing in return for the trouble and dirtiness.

The room had a very beachy vibe. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of clean towels. Staff in the lobby were friendly, and the hot coffee was pretty good every morning. Views from the on site restaurant and bar were stunning. Unfortunately , a few things got in the way of our giving this place a better rating. Upon entering the room, the mildew smell was really strong. Very off putting. The caulk in the shower had big spots of black mold- it requires either deep cleaning or replacement. Last, the guest directly above us had a small dog that ran across the floor every morning between 6:45 and 7:00 am. Maybe those traveling with pets should be given rooms on the first floor?

It was a great experience, we were met in the parking lot by Nikki, the hotel manager. Very friendly, and very helpful. It was very clean and the cleaning staff took great care of the room every day. They had a great continental breakfast offered in the lobby and the people that worked. They were very friendly.

Lovely staff. Location perfect. The only 2 things I was not happy with was how thin the walls were making it able to hear everything going on in the rooms next door and above. The other issue was there was no blackout or a drape blocking the light coming through the window blinds making the room too bright to be able to sleep in.

Our stay was okay. The room we were put in was fine there just wasn't anywhere to put our things. There's a lack of shelving or even hooks to hang things to get them off the floor.

I dont want this to come off as a bad experience. This is just a critique of a few things that made my experience less enjoyable. When you pay over $400/night for a room, you expect a little more than what we got. The property is close to the water, but the rooms are set back slightly. We still had a view of the water from our room. We stayed on the second floor. This is more of a motel due to entering the room from the outside. The dumpster is in the back where you enter. The room looks fresh and crisp, but the floors were filthy. My feet were black after a few minutes. The shower pressure wasnt great. Probably the most problematic thing of our stay was the sink. It is a small wall mounted sink with very little space to place things. There is a small shelf that actually gets in the way when washing or brushing teeth. There are two full beds but I think two queens would have fit fine. The deck is decent, but its a shared deck with other rooms. We had 3 families so it was nice to have 3 sections of the deck together. Overall, this place wasnt bad. The area just isnt what Im used to. There aren't many restaurants or shops, so the beach is the only thing to do. The beach is expensive ($46 for a family of 3 to park and enter) and its very small and not very nice.

The room itself was disappointing. No dresser to put clothes in, one small rack over the refrigerator to hang clothes, very tiny bathroom with no shelves or anything to put your items on. Not what we expected.

Paying $243. for "Oceanside King with Patio" on a Sunday night, off season, only to discover the room was in a separate building located BEHIND the main establishment. No OCEAN VIEW, first floor room, in a building technically called a MOTEL. "Private" patios and balconys separated by sheets" View only of the parking lot and the back of the Shore House and their kitchen dumpsters/housekeeping equipment. Very disappointing, the young man at the front desk was very helpful, but when my only options were stay in a dark overpriced closet with a bed or PAY AGAIN TO UPGRADE TO THE HOTEL ROOM YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GETTING IN THE FIRST PLACE! "All booked up, No more rooms, Hurricane outside, Sorry, sorry, sorry". You do see where I'm going with this. So out comes the VISA and I'm PAYING AGAIN. One is never left with a nice feeling when they feel they've been "taken for a ride" or a bit hustled. I I was just looking for some peace and quiet, some time to myself. Ya know, it's not the end of the world. It's just annoying sometimes and then you move on.

The hotel is located in a great area and almost all the rooms have a spectacular views, specially the front rooms. The hotel staff was awesome during our stay. My only complain is the room layout/features considering the high price. For instance, the sink is very oddly placed and almost impossible to reach. The rooms don't really have a closet, instead you hang your clothe next to the fridge, which is very odd. The shower doors didn't fully close therefore a lot of water would come out. Overall it was a satisfactory stay.

My only complain is the room layout/features considering the high price. For instance, the sink is very oddly placed and almost impossible to reach. The rooms don't really have a closet, instead you hang your clothe next to the fridge, which is very odd. The shower doors didn't fully close therefore a lot of water would come out. Overall it was a satisfactory stay.

Had a great stay at The Shore House - dog-friendly with a fee - came with a cute goodie bag of a toy, treat, paper bowl, and some poop bags. Room was spacious and pretty design. Sink was a bit awkward as the faucet was too big/long for the sink tub. But overall, the room was very comfortable. Location was perfect, great for walking the dog along the water, and a short drive to a dog friendly beach.

Shower head was very difficult to adjust. Wound up just holding it while showering. Sink was very difficult to use as the ledge over it doesn’t allow for you to bend over to reach the sink. The faucet on the sink was adjustable but we only learned this after it sprayed out of the sink. The bed was very hard and sagged on one side. The screen on the patio door was broken and difficult to move. The padding that serves as a headboard moves in the night and pushes over onto the very small nightstand making a mess.

The location was fantastic, however, we were in room 32 over the kitchen, and, it was noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with the parking issue.

Went for a quick overnight stay but we had gotten upgraded to a larger room which was beautiful and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful with parking. Only thing was the mattress was very squeaky although it was comfortable.

Overall great experience, our AC wasn’t working and without question we were moved to a new, larger room, the front desk moved all of our bags for us which they didn’t have to do. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. The lobby bar and restaurant are awesome, would stay again.

Checked into the hotel during the evening hours I was in town for an event with my cousin - I got back to my room we both took showers and was making small talk before going to bed Front desk called twice in 10mins to report a noise complaint explained if they get another call we would be escorted out by the police We than walked to the from desk to see why no one investigated the noise complaint- but called to threaten us with authorities The man that was on duty at the front desk explained that he didn’t come check the noise complaint because he has diarrhea He was extremely rude - I’ve never experienced anything like this before The front desk staff needs to be trained or let go !!

The addition of light breakfast items that can be enjoyed in a comfy chair or by a fire on chilly mornings is a great addition. I hope to see you next year.

My check-in experience was extremely poor. My room would not lock. As a solo pregnant woman traveler I felt extremely unsafe. When I asked to be put in a room that locks, the front desk offered me a downgraded room when the room I was checking into tomorrow was available tonight. He was extremely insulting, unhelpful, and rude. Following this, I asked for a refund since he could not accommodate me and I could not stay in my original room. After 1 hr of trying to find a safe and equivalent resolution to the point I’m in tears at the front desk, I was given a room and had to carry my luggage around by myself from my initial room to the new room through a gravel parking lot and up 3 flights of stairs. I’ve been so looking forward to this stay and it’s off the a terrible start. After how I was treated, I don’t even feel comfortable or safe to stay here anymore but have already paid so much.

Loved my stay here. Most comfortable bed ever. Love being so close to the beach and being able to wake up grab a coffee and light breakfast at the hotel and walk along the ocean. The staff are so friendly and kind. Will come back here again. Best spot in Narragansett!

Very nice mini vacation (2 nights). Ocean views from across the street (although there is no beach across the street) nice to walk and look at the water. Room nicely decorated in a retro feel. Parking was strictly enforced for guests only. Good to know you'll have a parking space when returning from a day at the beach or sightseeing. All the staff we came in contact with (front desk, housekeeping and waitress) were helpful and very pleasant with the exception of the bar staff who were very slow to acknowledge our party sitting at the bar, otherwise engaged with the group of young female guests. Our room was in the back of the property, not in the main house. Only complaint is housekeeping, and garbage bins were in our pathway to our car. It would be nice if they were not in sight of guests. Also, we had a direct view of the back of the kitchen where they prepped some food outside. Again, should be kept out of view with a simple fence. These are easy fixes and I would recommend this property to others.

The hotel was very clean and updated. The only negative thing I would say is that there was no beach access even though it is directly across the street I wanted to go for walks on the beach with out driving. But that's not the hotels doing. Just want to put it out there for others to know.

Clean, comfortable rooms. We had lunch at the restaurant when we arrived and everything was delicious. Good coffee in the morning, complimentary for guests. Close to the beach, which is exactly what we wanted. You could park your car and walk or bike to everything you'd want to do in Naragansett.

The dumpster had trash outside of it for days. You could smell it from the front side of the building. Bags of wash sat out in the parking lot. Floors were never cleaned. Breakfast was sad- just don’t do it. Day old frozen danish and stale bagels were not appetizing. Parking should be assigned spots- the shuffling was crazy. Location was great.

Located right across the street from the walkway along the ocean made this really convenient to stroll. The good and drinks were excellent at the restaurant. All of the staff were really friendly. The room was decorated in retro 50's style, which really looked nice. There were flowers all around the front door patio which smelled and looked wonderful. We would definitely go back here again.

The motel part of the hotel is where we stayed, no ocean view. It was clean & quiet. The free breakfast buffet was good. Bagels to toast, mini muffins, cereal, & yogurts. When I tried to book an extra night, the prices were $200 more than most of the other hotels in the area. Didn’t feel it was worth that much more.

The only value for the money is the view of the water however, you can’t hear the ocean from there. You do hear a lot of of the clanging and banging from the kitchen, which is in the back of the main house and I was in the rooms in the back building upstairs. It was the last room, so I had to take it. They did help me with my bag up the stairs, the bathroom floor the tile was not cleaned. It has not been cleaned for sometime The trash barrel was kept right at the base of the steps. It smelled I a see j k ed if they could empty especially seeing the general public was using it fir there dog waste. They did empty it but it took them 2 days to get done. It should be moved behind/ under stairs The faucet is too big for the sink. Hard to use without water getting on floor Beds were noises and not that comfortable Should be replaced

Overall, our experience at The Shore House was very positive. It's super close to Narragansett Beach, easy to walk to from the hotel, but if you want to drive with gear to get closer, that's an option. The room overall was spacious and clean. The floors were a little dusty, but I probably wouldn't have known that if I didn't have a toddler prone to finding all the yuck. Breakfast was lovely, had gluten free options available. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Parking came with the room. Highly recommend surfing as a local activity if you have kids- our 8 yo had a blast!
