This is a fun boutique hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant/bar (with heaters) is great for a wonderful drink and a view of Monterey Bay!

Very close to many attractions in Monterey, received reserved parking secluded behind the building, but note that the hotel has a few dozen rooms and only 5 spots in the back, so we felt lucky to secure one. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We had made reservations at a restaurant in town but I wished I had just ate at the rooftop restaurant at the hotel after discovering it for drinks later that night. The staff at the bar/restaurant were excellent and the drinks and desert we tried were great. Our room was on the smaller side but this is a historic building so we didn't compare it directly to something like a modern hotel, rather more of an experience. The rooms were decorated in a vintage style and were clean, with several modern amenities. The heater was nice but a bit difficult to get it to continuously run. The shower had many jet options but the heating was every inconsistent and a bit frustrating, albeit having no shortage of very hot water. We had a spa tub but did not try it. Bedding was clean and the bed/pillows were comfortable. I only wish there were more outlets. The included breakfast was excellent along with the staff serving. You are waited on like a restaurant, not a buffet. Having selected a reserved time slot, we did not have to wait at all, same with the bar. If you’re looking for a different type of stay in your travels and like more eclectic decor, vintage vibes and a more personal experience, we recommend Hotel 1110.

If you’re looking for a different type of stay in your travels and like more eclectic decor, vintage vibes and a more personal experience, we recommend Hotel 1110.

This place was alright. Not the greatest and I won’t be going back. The bar at the top was really nice. Nice view with heaters. The room was tiny and when I entered the hotel it seemed a bit old and run down. It smelled musty like they have mold in the walls. The breakfast was not included which was sad because I found this under a bed and breakfast search. The street noice is loud with traffic early in the morning. It wasn’t horrible and it wasnt great.

Roof top bar was closed, they use conventional keys to enter room the door does not self latch after you enter. No climate control in the room, street parking, retro fit window installed with exposed 2x4 lumber and plumbing controls exposed on shower controller. No window covering on bathroom window they were fogged but you can still see a silhouette at night very creepy I hung a towel up.

This had to breathe the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It had no window, no air conditioning, no fan, the elevator did not work, and it was like a little square. Just a horrible experience!

This is a nice little boutique hotel. The only real problems we had were the fact that there were no glasses in the room, in case you wanted a drink of water; sparse furnishings; the elevator didn't work; there is no phone in the room; and there is very limited parking. The place is clean, and the price is right. This coupled with a great included breakfast helped bring the overall rating up.

Older property with charming details without the crowds. Yes, you may have to park on the residential street adjacent to the hotel. I found it very safe and a minor inconvenience. Have the breakfast at least one morning. The homemade popovers yum. I only had a drink on the rooftop. It was off season when I visited but I can see this being a great spot for dinner in the summer months.

This hotel was not as expected. The pictures on the website are not what the hotel or rooms actually look like. We walked into our room and were immediately upset with how it looked. The site lists things that would be in your room and about the room that are untrue. One big thing was it said the rooms were soundproof, but they were not and we could hear every conversation, every door slamming from each room and down the hall. The hotel was on a busy street and they said there was parking for the hotel and there were none, so we had to park in a neighborhood nearby. We felt unsafe walking back to our hotel at night. The staff did eventually accommodate us to another room with an extra charge, but he was hard to work with and fought with us for a long time. We were excited for the rooftop bar with the view and were discouraged that it wasn't open and when we went up there at night, it felt unsafe and dark. We could not control our own temperature as told and the fan in the room was extremely dusty. We had to open the windows because we were getting dust in our throats. There was rust in the bathroom where the towels were hanging and the tub had not been scrubbed since the last use. There was also a VERY loud garbage truck that came to pick up the garbage RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW at 6AM and woke us up. We were very disappointed with how much we had spent to stay here and how terrible it was. Do not trust the website, it does not look like this!!!! We will NOT be coming back

Stayed here for one night. When we arrived, our room hadn’t been cleaned and had remnants of the previous guests which left us feeling like the place was a bit dirty. The hotel staff member was nice enough to upgrade us which we appreciated, but it’s hard to come back from that in general.

We enjoyed our stay here, the rooftop bar and restaurant was an amazing experience. The only complaint we had was the room was tighter than we expected and it got really hot without AC and the fan wasn’t nearly enough to keep it cool. We had a 1st floor room so we did open the window but because it was accessible we couldn’t keep it open long for safety reasons.

I've always wanted to stay here because of its unique themed rooms, history, location and intimate feeling. Hotel 1110 was beyond my expectations in every category. Dr Nick, the owner, is always around to welcome you and make sure every aspect of your stay is perfect. Although the rooms have a historical, European feel - the amenities (from bidet, to hair dryer to mattress and linens) are up to date and sparkling clean. The hotel and rooms are not spacious, but they are quality, cozy and met me and my friend's hopes and needs. Ideal for a getaway with a lover or a girlfriend. The breakfast was fine restaurant quality and part of the price. An unbelievable deal, without even mentioning that the hotel is walking distance to the beach, Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey. I can't wait to come back!

The hotel had a unique atmosphere, but the rooms were a bit cramped. They advertised sound proofing, but there is no possible way that was true as we could hear everything in neighboring rooms. The shower was an absolute nightmare as the water temperature was only capable of barely warm or scalding hot.
The hotel had a unique atmosphere, but the rooms were a bit cramped. They advertised sound proofing, but there is no possible way that was true as we could hear everything in neighboring rooms. The shower was an absolute nightmare as the water temperature was only capable of barely warm or scalding hot.

This is a nice little boutique hotel. The only real problems we had were the fact that there were no glasses in the room, in case you wanted a drink of water; sparse furnishings; the elevator didn't work; there is no phone in the room; and there is very limited parking. The place is clean, and the price is right. This coupled with a great included breakfast helped bring the overall rating up.

We love Hotel 1110! We have been staying here since it was opened. It is an adult only boutique hotel that has a wonderful rooftop restaurant and bar. Staying at this hotel always includes a delicious breakfast. Nick, his sister Nashua, and his son Tony have always made us feel like family. We used to live in the Bay Area, but we now live in Utah and every trip to California has to include a trip to Monterey and a stay at "our" hotel! Thank you again Nick and Tony for our wonderful stay and visit!

We love this place, and we look forward to coming again! It's quaint and French inspired, and even the rooms are on the small side, they have good modern beds and modern amenities, like well-functioning bathroom fixtures, very well-lit bathroom mirror, and full-equipped TV with internet access to YouTube and other online streaming services. The staff is kind and thoughtful, and above all, the French and NorCal inspired breakfast is spectacular (no really! it's that good!). Special thanks to Tony and everyone!

We love the Phil the hotel. The hotel was 100 years old that brought us back in time. The staff treated us like royalty took very good care of us. At breakfast for us every morning. It was a small hotel but we enjoyed it very much. We would recommend it and go back again.

Nick and Tony were very gracious hosts. They gave us great dining recommendations in both Monterrey and Carmel. We checked in late so we needed to park offsite across the street (just a heads up) which was fine. We look forward to visiting Monterrey, Nick and Tony again soon!

Amazing customer service. Perfect location to walk down town. Roof top bar was so cute and drinks did not disappoint. Breakfast the next morning on site was delicious. Definitely glad we found this hidden gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. The rooftop bar and restaurant is a wonderful space with an amazing view. The unexpected bonus was breakfast every morning - it was lovely! This is a full breakfast with table service. The food is great, the service is top notch - a wonderful relaxing start to every day of your trip. After breakfast, you can walk across the street and be at the beach or on the adjacent hike and bike trail.

This is our third stay at the hotel and it was fantastic. The hotel is is just the right amount of quirky, and the father/son owners went over and above with their friendly hospitality. The only suggestions would be to provide an end table next to the bed for any water, etc. And, then there was the breakfast! A sit down real breakfast with options all included in the room rate. Delicious! The location is great, right across from the beach and a 10 minute walk to downtown.

This hotel was not as expected. The pictures on the website are not what the hotel or rooms actually look like. We walked into our room and were immediately upset with how it looked. The site lists things that would be in your room and about the room that are untrue. One big thing was it said the rooms were soundproof, but they were not and we could hear every conversation, every door slamming from each room and down the hall. The hotel was on a busy street and they said there was parking for the hotel and there were none, so we had to park in a neighborhood nearby. We felt unsafe walking back to our hotel at night. The staff did eventually accommodate us to another room with an extra charge, but he was hard to work with and fought with us for a long time. We were excited for the rooftop bar with the view and were discouraged that it wasn't open and when we went up there at night, it felt unsafe and dark. We could not control our own temperature as told and the fan in the room was extremely dusty. We had to open the windows because we were getting dust in our throats. There was rust in the bathroom where the towels were hanging and the tub had not been scrubbed since the last use. There was also a VERY loud garbage truck that came to pick up the garbage RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW at 6AM and woke us up. We were very disappointed with how much we had spent to stay here and how terrible it was. Do not trust the website, it does not look like this!!!! We will NOT be coming back

Hotel 110. The hotel bills it self as a romantic boutique place to stay and there are spot on. The hotel feels like it was transplanted from Paris of 100 years ago, but with all the modern amenities we all love. Like instant hot water for the soaking tub , WiFi and comfy robes. The services was excellent and you can tell that they are very proud of their place with good justification. But the best surprise was the included cooked to order breakfast. If you are expecting the Hilton, you probably won’t like your stay. That being said, I love eclectic boutiques and this was not a disappointment. It looked like the pictures, smelled good, and had an incredible staff. I stayed in room 207 and it was cute and had necessities (bed, closet, restroom, hair dryer, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner). All other amenities are available upon request. A delicious breakfast is included in the price of the room and includes tea, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit, pop overs, and an entree of your choice. The rooftop bar and grill was delicious with great drinks. The room was a bit smaller than expected but we didn’t stay in the room much except to sleep. The fireplace was a nice touch and really warms up the place. There was only one window so it was a little dark and got a little stuffy at night. They do provide a Dyson fan in case it is needed. Parking is tight and costs $15 per night but I called ahead and they reserved a spot for me without hesitation. Overall, I would recommend this location and would stay again.

Really sweet little boutique hotel, owner operated. When they say "breakfast is included", they mean the literal best breakfast you have ever had at a hotel. Please do not skip this! Building itself is older and seems to be in the process of renovation, but the amenities and especially the food is top notch.
