We stayed 2 nights at the Springhill Suites at Calypso Cay, about 28 minutes from Universal, closer to Disney. They have nice resort type amenities that are shared between 3 hotel properties. Small waterslides, 3 really nice pool areas, a tiki bar, mini golf, a zipline and rock climbing wall. Hot tubs. Very chill. Great prices at the snack shops and bars. (They were selling BOTTLES of chardonnay for $7) Mostly attracts Disney families and has a Disney shuttle I think. Free hot breakfast which was really nice. Long lines for the Mickey waffles lol. I enjoyed the oatmeal bar with the cool toppings, like pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries. They also had scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit, yogurt, muffins and bagels. Decent coffee. This hotel has a little convenience store in the lobby with your basic needs like toiletries and medicines for colds/nausea. Microwave meals (the rooms have mini fridges and microwaves) they have beer and wine for sale and a selection of ice cream bars. Parking is $15 per night. Annoying but reasonable. Shop around and compare. If you find free parking, just keep in mind it might not be a place you want to stay. All in all, very pleased with this hotel. Would stay again and recommend. Very friendly clientele. We enjoyed the pool area for a couple hours this morning before driving back home. That’s another favorite hack for extending a vacation – last day is pool day. Just keep a set of dry clothes accessible and you can stay after checkout.

Hotel was super nice and clean. Had a wonderful breakfast, beautiful pools and hot tub. Was not happy about shuttle bus services provided. The bus service is provided by another hotel next door, however, times are not posted anywhere and is only provided at 830 and 1130. We uber to the park and then through the day we wondered if we needed a reservation to return that evening so we called hotel 3 times and was placed on long holds and was finally told we needed to have made a reservation that morning. We took our chances that night and was able to get on the bus. The following day going to universal we had to pay $5 for transportation.

Great service and great location. Very clean and amazing amenities. Can’t beat the free breakfast too. But be prepared to pay a $15 parking/day that wasn’t mentioned upon reservations.

The hotel has a great staff, beautiful property, and an amazing aroma throughout. However, the beds are very comfortable but the pillows are horrible. The aquatics and games are beautiful and plentiful but the pool hours are too short; and the maintenance should be scheduled for customer off hours. The food is an abundance, and hot, but lacks flavor. But we still had a great time there.

Rooms clean, maid service fantastic, front desk service fantastic, pools and slides and basketball court and mini golf - fantastic- laundry is coin operated you can get change at front desk. There is a 24/7 yogurt machine in lobby. Free breakfast was nice to have eggs and sausage was the hot food every day and then they have the usual bagels, waffle maker, coffee and juices and yogurt and fruit. Rooms are very quiet. Love the large soap and shampoo containers in the showers and it was no problem getting those refilled. It was close to disney parks we didn’t take the bus as it was not convenient at all we took Lyft to and from parks and to and from airport which was cheaper than paying parking at hotel plus parking at parks plus rental car costs. We would absolutely skip the rental and do LYFT again easy access to and from hotel it was maybe $8-15 LYFT each way for disney parks and they were available anytime all the time. We even took a LYFT down the street to Miller’s Ale House - highly recommend that restaurant!! Im not sure that anything is easily walkable to and from the hotel but the amenities on the property are fantastic. We also ordered from Flappers pizza and did a DoorDash and it was fantastic! Hot tubs and pools open till 10PM very warm water. Will definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

I don’t know how this property got such good reviews. It was the worst part of our family vacation. There weren’t enough elevators for the number of rooms. The hallways weren’t vacuumed the entire time we stayed. There were always bags of garbage in the halls outside the rooms. The water in the rooms smelt like sulphur. There was peeling paint and water damage on the ceiling. The window seal was gone so stayed fogged up. Beds were HORRIBLE - hard and creaky and sheets weren’t clean. Hide-a-way bed was so worn you couldn’t sleep on it. Morning breakfast “eggs” were inedible. Turkey sausages were like jerky. Swimming pool area and mini golf are all worn and in bad need of updating. Save yourself the experience and book somewhere else.

Not the best Springhill we’ve stayed. Only complaint was the room. Strong smell of mold/mildew and the floors didn’t feel clean at all. Bathroom floor sticky.

The rooms had worn and ripped furniture. The carpet was dingy. There were dogs in the hotel without service tags and we were told it was a no pet facility. This was very disappointing. The breakfast was poor and had limited options, the eggs were over done and we stayed 2 days. The pools were the highlight of the stay. Facility is in desperate need for a facelift.

The hotel hallways are deplorable as soon as you enter the floors, the musty smell of mold... the room is worse, the smell of mold, the curtains full of dirt and dust... my family and I couldn't sleep because of such a horrible smell. my children coughing due to discomfort with the smell. We wouldn't return!

As a family, we liked that the rooms had capacity for 6. Also liked the convenience of having a microwave in the room. However, the entire hotel needs remodeling. Carpets are dirty, stained and ripped. Furniture throughout the hotel is in the same condition. Noticeable ripped wallpaper and scratches and dents on furniture in the lobby, dining area, inside the rooms. Breakfast breakfast was OK a bit busy but is expected. Overall good experience.

The carpeted floors in the hotel rooms look like they haven't been cleaned in forever. The sliding door for the shower in my room was broken. The couch in my room was dirty. The staff were nice and accommodating and the breakfast was pleasant.

Room smelled like urine and moldy. While walking to our room we noticed how dirty and smelly things were. They tried to cover the smell with room Deodorant but it didn’t work. We went back to the desk and was told that they would not refund our money, we left anyways and checked into a different hotel. We will now have the challenge of getting our money back for a room we didn’t stay in. Thank God for American Express, they’re pretty good with resolving issues and will call them in the morning.

The area was nice. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was good but I did not like the quality of the sofa bed. The sofa bed was not that comfortable.

The staff was friendly, but the room was small and run down. The pull-out sofa bed mattress was covered in what I assume to be rust stains from the bars being wet from people coming back from the waterpark. When we first arrived, there was someone that I assumed worked for the hotel in our room, sitting on the couch. She quickly turned off the tv and lights and left, but that was a weird experience.

Rooms and amenities were kept very clean, except the couch in our room had a stain on it but otherwise excellent. Breakfast buffet was good but wish they had more variety with the hot options day to day. Pools and other activities (like mini golf and zip lining) were fun and it's close to Disney, airport, and shopping outlets. Staff was super courteous. Would have liked more lighting on the bathroom - kind of dim - and more mirrors and outlets in the room. But I would stay again and highly recommend.

Room was clean and nice. Air condition was right at the bed and rattled all night. No sleep. Front deck said breakfast was at 6am but it was 6:30am. When I came down at 6am the kitchen staff scolded me for not reading the sign. Glad I was only here one night.

Everything about this place was amazing. Great amenities and activities. But what really stood out to us was their front desk manager, Omar. We had mentioned to him that our little one celebrated a birthday just a couple of days before check in and when he saw us again, he had balloons and a gift bag full of treats for her! And when I accidentally let go of the balloons, he jumped on the counter with a broomstick to retrieve them! He really went above and beyond!

I had many unexpected troubles come up and it affected my trip. I contacted the hotel directly to try and make adjustments to my stay and could not get in touch with anyone of help. The front desk told me to reach out to exp. When I reached out to exp. they said I had to contact the property directly. When I called the property AGAIN to reach out to the manager I got voicemail , no response. I left a message and NEVER got a response. So basically never got help just the run around.

Fantastic accommodations. Calypso Cay was a great amenity. We enjoyed putt putt golf and pools. Room was clean, spacious, and bed was very comfortable. Only negative was having to pay for parking.

Rooms clean, maid service fantastic, front desk service fantastic, pools and slides and basketball court and mini golf - fantastic- laundry is coin operated you can get change at front desk. There is a 24/7 yogurt machine in lobby. Free breakfast was nice to have eggs and sausage was the hot food every day and then they have the usual bagels, waffle maker, coffee and juices and yogurt and fruit. Rooms are very quiet. Love the large soap and shampoo containers in the showers and it was no problem getting those refilled. It was close to disney parks we didn’t take the bus as it was not convenient at all we took Lyft to and from parks and to and from airport which was cheaper than paying parking at hotel plus parking at parks plus rental car costs. We would absolutely skip the rental and do LYFT again easy access to and from hotel it was maybe $8-15 LYFT each way for disney parks and they were available anytime all the time. We even took a LYFT down the street to Miller’s Ale House - highly recommend that restaurant!! Im not sure that anything is easily walkable to and from the hotel but the amenities on the property are fantastic. We also ordered from Flappers pizza and did a DoorDash and it was fantastic! Hot tubs and pools open till 10PM very warm water. Will definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

Great hotel with excellent amenities for your family, but just one employee at the front desk can’t be enough for the check in. It was a great line and it can take you some time and patience. Besides that everything was great!

This property was just a short drive fro Disney and had all that we needed. Good housekeeping and friendly staff, nice pool, and good breakfast with Mickey waffles which made the kids happy. I would stay here again.

We loved everything about this hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff were very friendly, especially Tyrone from front desk area, helped us with all our questions, and whatever we needed. It's alright. The staff up front was friendly and the room cleaners did a good job. The people trying to sell their timeshare (they wont admit its timeshare) are super pushy into you visiting their other resorts and getting your info. Trust me you'll find them, or i should say they'll find you. Also please have another 1 or 2 more of the mickey waffle maker. I did not eat their breakfast because the sausage and eggs were always cold, and there was a line of 40 people once because somebody made like 30 waffles. Either have a sign making it so that theres a limit on how much you can make, or just invest in another 2 or 3 more waffle makers.

Needed to stay in Kissimmee for business meeting early the next morning. Been to Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee area dozens and dozens of times through the years. Didn't need to be near Disney parks or properties so thought this hotel would be good for my business trip. If you are a young couple or young family or older couple on a budget, this hotel is still relatively close to Disney property. Can be within DisneyWorld within 12-15 minutes depending on traffic. That being said, this hotel is located in between US-192 and Osceola Parkway. Plenty of chain style dining options in the area. However, this hotel shows signs that it needs some TLC and has not been updated in some time. First surprise was being told there was $15 per night charge for parking. This was not included on Hotels.com listing. This has become the norm in Orlando, when it really is just a way to add on to the cost of each stay. Unfortunate. The elevators were quite messy and didn't appear to have been cleaned in sometime. The hallways and room was musty smelling, even with AC cranking at full blast. Bed was very firm/hard. Bathroom had water stains on the ceiling. Walls were paper thin, could hear people in adjoining room snoring and flushing their toilet. In the morning, the lobby was packed for the complimentary breakfast, which I didn't bother with, but when I tried to check out there was no one staffing the front desk and waited a good 10 minutes for some to show up. Will not stay again.

The pool temperature was perfect, quiet place, friendly staff, clean rooms, I recommend it and would definitely stay again for vacation, we stayed for 8 days, everything is excellent except Breakfast, the only disappointing thing was Breakfast, I was expecting more hot options in the buffet, but it was always scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, bacon only special days I guess which was two, or a different sausage (one day only), other than that a great place to stay..

The mattress was average at best with a defined “low” spot. The hot breakfast was a joke as the eggs were cold and the sausage really couldn’t even be considered warm. I had to throw my plate away. I question wether the warmers were even on beneath both of these items.

I'm a little frustrated that I didn't see a place on the description that said it was Attached to Calypso cay . I wasn't expecting so many kids and kid amenities but that's fine, I just wish I d seen it written somewhere I would likely have chosen a different property. Also I have a Marriott gift card that I was not able to use on parking because it would not run through the front desk computer for the balance which is $23.70.( I called again to check on that after it would not work) tried to use it at the pool bar but they said they are not Marriott but Calypso Cay. I found this frustrating and would have to advise no one to ever give me a Marriott gift card in the future as it's impossible to use. Over all everything was fine. Older property. Long lines at breakfast and everything was just ok. I ve definitely stayed in worse but usually think Springhill suites are reliably impressive, this would be the first time I would rate it lower than what was on yelp. Anyhow, ty. It wasn't terrible just not what I expected
