Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cartersville

The staff was friendly, the hotel in general was dirt, not kept well at all, rips in carpet. Flooring coming up in elevator, the entire 4th floor reaked of cigarette smoke. We spent the one night because i was having sirgery the next day. I would avoid that hotel at all cost. No breakfast was available or offered and all vending machines were not working. I have pitcure on the dirtyness of our room. This survey will not allow me to.upload my photo's

No smoking hotel stunk of cigarettes including the room. No smoke detector in room. Just wires hanging from ceiling. Ice maker on 3rd floor didn’t work. Vending machines almost empty. Toilet paper was 1-ply. Wyndham should be embarrassed that there name is on that hotel

The lobby had Caution tape all around because of about 20 missing big floor tiles. The tiles in the elevator were cracked and missing. There were also cracked tiles in the room. I also noticed multiple rips and tears in the carpets throughout the hotel. The worst part was the strong smell of smoke in the room. The best part of the stay was the very nice gentleman who was working the front desk when we checked in.

The property was very rundown and shocking that it is considered a Wyndham property. There was not a drain plug in the sink or the bathtub. I asked for one for the bathtub and was never given one. There was a coffee maker in the room; however, not a single time was there coffee or condiments provided in the room. There was caution tape around the front lobby area. I definitely will not be staying there again.

The tub was leaking water. The second bed only had a bottom and top sheet, no comforter or blankets. Bathroom door doesn't close. Elevator had waste all over the floor.

The place was filthy, the elevator had buttons missing and sounded like it was going to break, the box spring was bare, there were stains all over the furniture, and over all the place is disgusting.

The elevator wouldn't come down to the first floor. You had to walk up to the 2nd floor then ride to your floor. The clerk advised a heart patient checking in that he could just walk up stairs. The air conditioner didn't work. The sign on the a/c said use the thermostat on the wall, but it had been forcefully removed. We left and stayed at a Motel 6.

The coke machine didn't work

The bedding was filthy. Staff didn't seem surprised when my husband checked out instead of staying.

We entered the building and witnessed cereal poured across the counter in the dining area. The elevator was filthy. Our room smelled like marijuana and mildew. A roach appeared on the night stand and moved onto the bed. We did not stay overnight at this hotel.

Worst motel I’ve ever stayed in in my life. I cannot believe I had to pay to stay here as I still have bedbug bites all over my body.

The carpet was FILTHY! House keeping didn’t ever come clean our room or fully stock new towels and wash cloths. One night, we had to sleep without a blanket because none were clean. There were roaches. The water didn’t get hot one night. I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but don’t book this hotel. Terrible service.

Entire room smelled of pot and cigarettes.

The overall property, room and hotel was disgusting. Lobby smelled of body odor, elevator had muddy handprints and spilled food all over the walls and stuck in the grooves and that was the first 10 minutes in the door. When we got in the elevator, there was food spilled down the walls and muddy handprints on the walls. We made it to our room and checked the beds, went for the remote and there was brown stuff in between the buttons. I went to clean it and found only 1 washcloth and 2 towels for 2 people to stay. The bathroom floor had not been swepped or mopped. I cleaned it with my foor and the washcloth and the white washcloth was almost black when i finished. I asked for additional towels and washcloths and was tild there weren't any extra. The breakfast looked to have been sitting for days, witnessed the creamer sitting on the counter all night and none of the community trash cans had been emptied in a long time. Nothing had been taken care of the whole time we were there. I am really surprised that Wyndham has their name on it!

Hotel dirty, bugs in hallway, staff not available

Liked the hassle-free check-in experience and the staff reception in general. The curtains in our room did not close fully and there was light on my eyes from the street lamp throughout the night.

Although the room was “non-smoking”, it smelled like smoke which made my allergies flare up. The bathtub was loud as you stood up to shower. It sounded like it was about to fall through to the next floor everytime I moved around in the shower and even stepping in and out of it. Other than that it was a nice stay and front desk was extremely helpful.

Room needs fridge and microwave

Comfy bed and a big deep tub. The remote had a big wad of claim stuck underneath it (housekeeping should have caught that).. 1 bed had simply been made after the previous users. Tissues were out but the biggest issue THE AC DIDNT WORK! Sleeping in a 73° room wasn't fun and we didn't call front desk cause we needed sleep. Not moving rooms or workers in and out fixing air.

No refrigerator or microwave, tiny room, heard the couple next door having sex through the door. Something fell out of the sheets when I went to climb in to bed(see picture), contacted front desk and they did nothing about it

The pipe chase to the upper floors was right next to the head of the bed and you hear d every trickle and flush from above. The bathtubs were made of fiberglass and creaky allowing you to listen to your neighbors shower

Acoustical privacy could be improved. The price is reasonable and the hotel seems to be a good value. The rooms are a little small, but are suitable for two people on an overnight stay.

we had neighbors accross from us who had dogs that barked non stop. I told the fromt desk and come to find out theyve had numerous complaints over a good amount of time because the people have lived there a year. Why would you ignore guest’s complaints rather than get rid of the problem dogs? Are new guests not important enough they don’t deserve to sleep without being woke by barking dogs all night? 4th floor dont go up there if you want to sleep at all.

I already sent a comment. But we asked for our room to be cleaned three times in a four night stay and it never was. Towels, sheets, beds, vacuumed, trash, horrible service thank you

The person who checked us in was ok. I had to go to the front several times during my stay and the other staff was always in the room behind the desk, on their phone and you had to get their attention. If you are working the front desk, you should pay attention. I asked for a washcloth (1 additional) and was told they didn't have any extra. The elevator has an unpleasant odor and looked as though it is never cleaned or wiped down. It makes concerning mechanical noises when in use- grinding noise and seems to pause in unusual spots as you go up. The room was not good. Everything looked very worn and the carpet was dirty. Water spots on the ceiling and a spot on the wall that looked like a burn mark that was painted over. The beside tables had bubbling and chips out of the finish. The bathroom was ok. The curtain was bit weird and didn't want to stay closed. The tub make creaking sounds when showering. The toilet was very short and looked like a kids potty and I was afraid it wasn't going to flush properly. The toilet paper was single ply and scratchy so I grabbed a pack in town. The parking lot seems small compared to the number of rooms they had. One of the hallway doors was propped open at night. I reported it to the desk and they didn't seem to care so I didn't feel safe. I think the property has potentional and could be a lot better, but this particular location seems to have many issues and I think staff/management doesn't care.

Great customer service. The room they assigned me first had not been cleaned so they immediately move me to a new room.

Loved the Front desk, young lady by the name of Kiera she helped me with my room and anything I needed helped with. Definitely coming back!

Awesome hotel for such a low price. The room was comparable to Home 2 Suites. Only issue was that the front desk clerk gave someone my room while I was in it and I got to the door right before they walked in my room. She was apologetic but that could've been a dangerous situation.

Did not keep my room clean didn’t come in and make my beds. Didn’t need to leave enough towels and wash rags.

This hotel is in distress! But worse than how it is physically at 2:45 am people opened our door! The only thing that kept them out was the extra swing bar lock. We screamed and they left. We called the front desk. They took quite a while to answer and when she did she answered with the statement, what do you want! Then she said , oh I must have given your key to someone else. I suggest this hotel is in great decline AND it is not on the interstate!

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was super quick and easy. Definitely will stay there again.

The bathroom door did not have a door knob, just the hole where it should have been installed. So it could not be locked. White primer on the walls where repairs had been made but forgot to paint. It was like maintenance did not finish the work order and management did not know. When I reported it to the front desk, the young man barely took his face off his phone. Totally rude and disrespectful.

Breakfast consisted of a few cheap bagels and muffins, 4 choices of cold cereal and pre-packaged bulk previously frozen pancakes and sausage muffins. No yogurt, toast,fruit.

Property is very nice and you don't never have to be concern about being in danger. They're breakfast is what makes me love this property along with the comfort and cleanliness of the room.

The price was right. The beds were comfortable. The location was relatively safe. The breakfast was ok. We would stay there again.

This hotel worked fine for me as a lone traveler. The room, though smaller than other hotel rooms in my experience, was clean and comfortable. The staff at the desk and in housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The maintenance man even stopped by to talk about how to ensure that the door is latched, so I was impressed people working there. It was conveniently located but might be difficult to spot unless you’re using a navigation app. I would stay again as a lone traveler.

Good location, but quite dated. Many carpet tears throughout and decor is very 1990's. Other than that, good stay overall

Basic but very good. It is a few miles from I-75 but easy to get to. We stopped at Cracker Barrel and picked up some dinner so we wouldn’t have to go in the car again after a long day of traveling and a dinner time arrival. Everything worked well, lights, shower, ac and we slept well. Since it is well off of the freeway the road noise was less. The price was great and the bed was comfy…all in all a big 👍.

Breakfast was not good. Was very limited no matter what time you went. They had no coffee and repackaged muffins that were not good. They had nothing hot.

Our experience was a good one with cold a/c, nearby parking, clean room and good breakfast. Very friendly staff too!

Prior to booking the room, I read many reviews. Some good some bad. I and my son stayed for two nights and our room was exceptionally clean and the staff was Johnny on the spot! If you’re looking for a affordable hotel with basic amenities, this is it. The room was equipped with an ironing board, iron coffee, pot, and hairdryer. If you’re looking for anything else, I suggest you get a more expensive hotel. Breakfast is basic with cereal, bagels, and pastries. Don’t expect anything fancy if you’re looking for a hotel within your budget. This is the place.

Surprised me. Wasn’t expecting much due to the affordability. But it was nicer than expected. Cleaner than expected. I like the free breakfast - wasn’t the best I’ve had but again much appreciated for the price.

It was good for the money. No bugs or stained up bedding. it was clean and the lady at the desk was nice as can be. The breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about. Just a few things you could grab and go like muffins. It’s decent overall.

Great price for a good night's sleep, good shower (great water pressure - like a massage) and an okay continental breakfast.

Room was musty and smelled bad. Found mold! Got moved to a room where the bathroom door didn’t close. Daughter found moldy bagel in breakfast offering - gross! Front desk clerk seemed more interested in his cell phone than getting things right.
