Proctor Mansion Inn

We absolutely loved our stay at the Proctor Mansion Inn in Wrentham! The mansion is beautiful and filled with so much history. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we were greeted with fresh-baked cookies waiting in our room when we arrived — such a nice touch! Breakfast was delicious, and Sarah, the Innkeeper, made our visit extra special. She gave us a wonderful tour and shared so many interesting stories and details about the history of the mansion. It was also fun learning that two movies, The Spirit of Christmas and Murder at Blackthorne Manor, were filmed at the Inn. After staying there, watching the movies and recognizing the rooms makes it even more special! Beautiful historic Inn, delicious breakfast, wonderful hospitality, and so much character. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend!

I would give this place a zero for two main reasons. 5 days prior to arriving for a big concert, they cancelled our 2 night booking due to “maintenance issues”. I had booked this place months in advance due to proximity to the concert venue since my young daughter and I were traveling from afar. I ended up scrambling to find other hotels and ended up having to book 2 separate hotels at double the cost since this big concert had already sold out lots of other hotels close to the stadium. I also had to rent a vehicle since our hotels were further which added another unforeseen cost!!! I replied back to the manager Sarah for a resolution other than a “refund” since that is bare minimum!!! They cancelled the booking so of course they should give me my money back. However, to do so with just basically a sorry and good luck with that attitude is NOT how a business should treat their customers that they have placed in a very difficult, urgent and costly situation. Then to add insult to injury Sarah did not even have the courtesy to reply back to my reasonable request or help find a better resolution to this matter. I do not and will not ever recommend a place that treats their customers so poorly. I have stayed at dozens of hotels around the world and this was by far the worse experience and customer service I have ever experienced!!!

Was lucky enough to book a room as BTS was in town. Very convenient distance to Gillette Stadium. Friendly staff, comfortable room. Cookies and lemon water in the room were a nice touch. Wasn't able to stay for teatime, but maybe next time!

The innkeeper was amazing. The place has a very unique history and atmosphere. If you are looking for something unusual and different this is the place for you.
