Holiday Inn Express and Suites Limerick - Pottstown by IHG

The pool is closed. Parking is not available. Construction everywhere. Very unhappy

The rooms were recently remodeled and were very nice and clean loved that they had dove toiletries. It was quiet and beds were very comfortable. What I didn’t like was elevator was out of service and I was in a room on third floor not so much for me but bc my brother was with me and had a bad knee. The air condition unit was controlled by a wall temps box that we didn’t see so our room temp was not where we wanted it to be. The hair dryer was not in the bathroom found it hanging in a bag right before we left. The water pressure was amazing and very hot water but by the end of your shower you were in a room of steam absolutely no ventilation so you had to wait to finish getting ready using the mirror until the steam cleared. I also didn’t like that some of the exterior doors were not locking correctly so anyone could enter the hotel. If they were operating correctly your room key unlocked the door which o found more secure. Breakfast was good other than cold French toast. Loved the coffee machines they made good fresh coffee and area was very clean.

The room was in good condition, some of the staff were courteous and some weren’t. The fitness center was closed and has been closed for renovations, this was very disappointing.

Pool was not in working order, cold showers

The renovations left one elevator and there was a lot of construction. However, staff was very polite and the room was huge. Very convenient for our needs. But wouldn’t recommend for several days until work is completed

So the property is under renovation with very limited parking . They require you to park across the street once all the parking is gone. The lot across the street belongs to a physicians clinic , it is has no lights and if it’s late at night that you return you would have an issue seeing. It seems that the solution to the parking was poorly planned with a very poor resolution.

The room and accommodations were nice. Not pleased that parking was very limited. We realized that there were renovations going on but parking was a problem

Parking easy. Clean room. Friendly staff. Did not appreciate the pool and hottub closed and also the gym was without sanitizers and towels.

I t was fine except for the elevator service. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. There were times I would enter the elevator on the third floor and when I pressed the button for the first floor, the door would close, then reopen. Because of this, I and my family had to take the stairs. I did report this to whomever was on duty at the front desk. I was told it would be fixed but it was not.

I get the hotel is under renovation but the room I got was dirty & smelled like cigarettes. The manager tried to spray it down but honestly did not work. It was just horrible & could not even sleep there. They stated they didn’t have other rooms due to the renovations. So we left. I really couldn’t stay there with the room smells so horrible. We decided to leave to another hotel.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the process of a major update remodel. The lobby and entrance was very dusty and and shabby with litter and cigarette butts. We mentioned it to the clerk at front desk, her response was the construction crew cleans up every day before they leave. The litter and cigarette butts and construction dust was there when we arrived and still there when we departed 3 days later. Not sure if any of the hotel employees enter through the front entry or just don't care.

We got the family room. It was very dirty. Doors were dirty, walls were dirty, there was also a bug in the room. We had to reach out downstairs twice and then send an email to manager to finally have our room cleaned. Even then, doors and walls were still dirty. Mattress in sofa bed was very dirty. We put the cushions on top of the mattress and the bed sheets on top of all that so that my son could sleep there (3 adults 2 kids). We didn't feel comfortable using the pool or eating the food there considering how our room was. They couldn't change our room because it was the only family room. They couldn't give us extra pillows because they had none. They couldn't give us enough towels because again, they had none available. We finally got towels-day 3, we had to go get them from the pool. Day 4 we got regular ones. No daily cleaning, and if you need towels or anything, you have to go down to the front desk, even if you call. Will never stay here again and absolutely recommend that no one else does. Even if you call for them to clean your room, we were told it would be entered as a request, they couldn't guarantee it. The room was big and while the pictures look nice, we just couldnt get past the cleanliness of our room. We were there helping my mother in law through her first chemo round, we only used the room from 9pm-10am for about 5 days. It would have been great to get back to our room, and have a clean space, instead of feeling icky every night. Just find someplace else.

Clean and newly renovated property. Close to the Pennhurst Asylum.

Super clean

Staff was courteous. Breakfast was okay. Room was clean and shower was good. However, we had to ask for more bathroom towels, especially wash cloths and hand towels which were in short supply. Stayed 4 nights.

The rooms were clean, I did have a little issue with my room not being available but they helped me upgrade to a suite with the same rates. I was astonished by how kind everyone was. Love this Hotel and will definitely come back when I go back to the area.

Dirty and old

The tv was near impossible to use even with new remote batteries. No fan in the bathroom, lack of parking, place seemed a bit dirty and not well presented. Guy working front desk was sleeping as people were walking right past him. Did not seem like the place cared too much about its appearance or presentation.

Thin walls between rooms

Room was nice and very clean. Nice comfortable bed, furnishings were nice. The hotel is undergoing renovations so it was a little loud and you could tell there were projects here and there. The top floor seemed complete which is where I was and it was nice.

Upon entering the room I noticed the fridge door open with some cleaning rags laying inside. I looked to see why and noticed water on the floor. I informed the front desk and it was taken care of. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows. The room is very large and easy to move around in. Nice bathroom but the water never really got hot. Was always lukewarm.

The shower was wonderful and the bed very comfortable.

Our stay was fine. Room smelled kind of like the pool - I believe we were right above it. Check in/check out was easy. The room fit our needs for a one night stay after attending a wedding in the area. Negatives were that the toilet kept running all night and we could not get the TV to work which was really odd. By the time we came back from the wedding, it was too late to really address these details. Overall hotel was sufficient for our short stay needs.

The check was friendly and professional. The lobby and rooms were clean. I requested a room that was accessible for an individual in a wheelchair and was assured it was. The room and bathroom was accessible but the bathroom had a normal bathtub that made it impossible to access in a wheelchair. Other hotels I've stayed in have the roll in shower in handicap accessible rooms. This was really frustrating.

The room was spacious and clean, and the pillows were awesome! The check-in was a little rough as I stood around waiting for the front desk person to return from wherever he was. The parking was a little sketchy as they are doing construction. However, the prostitute servicing construction workers (and staff) in the parking lot was an added twist I've not encountered in my travels before.

The room was very nice. The desk staff members were friendly. The room lacked a few expected conveniences - like a place to hang hand and bath towels. This was a 4 night stay and it was very difficult to arrange for any service to the room during the stay. It appeared that the motel was undergoing some remodeling so the hallways were a bit torn up.

The room was clean and spacious. Each member of the staff was pleasant and helpful. It was a two night stay and enjoyed staying here.

This was the WORST stay I have ever had with a Holiday Inn. I was only staying overnight and was expecting it to be an easy check-in. I booked on Hotels.com as I have many times before. Tony, the front desk associate, wouldn't take my confirmation number saying he didn't need it and then re-booked me so I was doubled bill. When I pointed out the mistake, he became almost aggresive. I refused to leave until I received my credit for the double billing, which upset him further. I had to call Holiday Inn's 800 customer service number because Tony obviously couldn't handle the request. When I finally got the credit and checked in correctly, I went to my room. The room key worked but as I tried to bring my luggage to the room, the key had been deactivated. So I had to go back to the desk again, only to face Tony anbd his bad attitude. This place should question their hiring and training policy. I seriously doubt I will ever stay in a Holiday Inn again after the treatment I received there.

No desk chair, bedside light did not work, shower body wash dispenser did not work. Young man doing check in needs training.

This hotel had a wonderful staff that was happy to jump in to help us when we arrived. The desk attendant was running errands when we got there. There was a maintenance gentleman that saw me waiting to check in. He called the person that was on duty, got us into a room, later brought up our room key and made sure we had everything we needed. It was great to stay somewhere that everyone took ownership of making sure you had a great stay. There was an establishment right next door that had 10 different eateries and a brewery. We were able to get a good dinner after a long day traveling. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, and everything was clean

Clean and Good customer service

Flights delayed got to hotel no one on desk to check anyone in at 3 am. Sat in chair in lobby called phones no answer. Eventually day shift kitchen staff arrived and found a sleeping desk person. I got my room at 630 am ! No apology and no customer service horrible. No manager available all weekend - do t stay here unless you get there before 6 pm

Hotel was obviously undergoing major renovations so the pool was closed for maintenance, which was disappointing for the team. We stayed here for one night before my son’s early morning soccer game. Location was great, only 5 minutes from the field and close to a Wawa. Hot breakfast was perfect for the boys and had plenty of options with coffee available all day. The rooms were clean and newly renovated, but the lobby, hallways and other areas need some improvement. A little pricy for the area and 1 night but there weren’t many options in the local vicinity. Would consider staying here again if we needed to be close to the Battle at the Hilltop soccer fields again.

It is very convenient, close to the Premium outlet, restaurants, easy parking. The staff is very nice and polite. It was very clean. Breakfast was good. I enjoyed my stay in Philadelphia very much. Thank you!

The bedding and linens were very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked awesome! Clean room, would definitely stay again. We had an awesome girls trip!!! The hotel was also close to the Pennhurst Aslym Haunted Attraction.

Popped into town to visit Pennhurst Asylum. The hotel was close very well priced. They are at the end of a renovation, but room was very big clean and fair priced.

It was conveniently located across the street from the building I was working in during my stay. It seemed a little outdated, but I could tell they were in the process of upgrading.

Our room was newly renovated and therefore beautiful, but the hotel was under construction at the time and so both the pool and the hot breakfast were a no-go. Two of the main draws for picking this very hotel! So the kids were disappointed and so were we. It’s a shame when some of the amenities you’re paying for are not available when you arrive. Is not like you get a discount for the pool being closed or the advertised hot breakfast changed to continental…

Everything was great! The hotel was clean and very well taken care of. The breakfast could have been better. The pancake machine didn't work. We never saw cinnamon buns. The mystery meat was tastless and unappetizing in appearance. The bathroom also didn't have a vent or exhaust so it got very hot!

I want to complain about the breakfast. The usual breakfast area was closed, and the hotel used a conference room that lacked the proper structure to provide a quality breakfast. The food was terrible. There are better options close this hotel with the same price.

Breakfast was horrible. Staff did not keep food replenished and all food was gone by 8:45am except cereal and dry cinnamon rolls.

We are disappointed that we were not informed in advance that the breakfast was modified due to renovations. There were no hot meal options.

The hotel is doing some renovations, therefore the breakfast was in a small conference room with no choices and nothing hot serve. We had our room card disactivated twice and the hotel wasn't super clean. Would not recommend going there.
