The Holiday Inn in Hammond was very nice. It was quiet and away from the main highway. There were plenty of shopping and food options if you needed anything. The staff was engaged and very friendly. The room was clean, and there was an on-site bar and restaurant if you wanted to eat or drink without leaving. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay at this hotel again if I return to the Hammond area in the future.

The front desk employee was exceptional at making my anniversary feel special. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the bar was great, and the bartender was super nice. We were welcomed with a little gift from the manager for celebrating our anniversary, which I thought was above and beyond. The pool and hot tub we’re both clean and super easily accessible

I retired as GM of a hotel after 17 years. I can tell you from my experiences that property and the staff were great. I enjoyed being able to enjoy a glass of wine and the bartender was phenomenal.

Great hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the whole place was clean. Bed was super comfy. The included soaps and shampoos were all dove products. Love that! My only gripe was that the bar was closed Saturday evening.

I’m extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, we encountered two employees openly smoking weed near the front corner of the building—not something you expect to see at a reputable hotel. Thankfully, the front desk clerk acted quickly and addressed the situation. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Our room had a noticeable ant infestation—ants were crawling near the beds and even in the bathroom. We also found someone else’s hair on a towel and discovered a cracked sink. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance issues that should never be overlooked. To top it all off, there was no breakfast available the next morning, which was frustrating and unexpected. It’s disappointing to see a brand like Holiday Inn slipping like this. This experience did not live up to the standards we’ve come to expect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements.

The stay was very nice….everyone was friendly. The only issue we had was that the black out curtain only covered half the window…so the room was pretty bright all night since there is a storage facility next door with lots of lights.

The hotel is very loud being directly next to a railroad track. The ac did work well but is very loud making it difficult to sleep and the teenagers running around at midnight banging on doors didn’t make for a restful evening.

We were driving to Texas from Alabama and decided to stop and rest. This was not our first choice as it was more expensive. However, we felt as though we would get better quality if we paid more. And even though there were other hotels down the street that were less expensive a nice with good ratings we decided in IHG. The room was ok. As well as the hotel in general. I wouldn’t say it is the best. But the part that was very off putting was when my husband went to the breakfast area to get some hazelnut creamer. The staff person said that he could not get creamer because he did not pay for the breakfast there. Honestly, for the price we paid, a little bit of creamer was absolutely not a loss to the hotel chain. The staff person was very rude about it as well. We will not stay at this hotel ever again, as we travel from Alabama to Texas quite often. We usually stay at IGH properties when we travel. What’s disappointment. You should be ashamed of this, it wasn’t like we were asking for a meal for free, just two tablespoons of creamer for coffee. Ridiculous.

The entire staff was so friendly especially the food and beverage person April. She was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for breakfast. A great stay as we were passing through town. Also a good brewery a mile down the road:)

Ideal location. This is the hotel I stay every time I go to Louisiana and fly into the BTR airport! Perfect for single travelers and families as well. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby within walking distance!

The hotel was right in the middle of everything but was tucked away so it was quiet and peaceful. I would stay again. The staff was pleasant and kind. The hotel was clean, fresh, and felt safe at all hours.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Very clean. Beds were awesome - great night sleep. Staff very friendly. Convenient not only for Hammond but also easy to get to Ponchatoula.

The front desk employee was exceptional at making my anniversary feel special. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the bar was great, and the bartender was super nice. We were welcomed with a little gift from the manager for celebrating our anniversary, which I thought was above and beyond. The pool and hot tub we’re both clean and super easily accessible

I retired as GM of a hotel after 17 years. I can tell you from my experiences that property and the staff were great. I enjoyed being able to enjoy a glass of wine and the bartender was phenomenal.

Coffee pots were empty and breakfast was a mess .. also we were 10 minutes late checking out and cleaning ladies were rushing us and man in lobby called and was kinda rude about us being 10 minutes late. Bathroom floor was old and rust in the tub

I’m extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, we encountered two employees openly smoking weed near the front corner of the building—not something you expect to see at a reputable hotel. Thankfully, the front desk clerk acted quickly and addressed the situation. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Our room had a noticeable ant infestation—ants were crawling near the beds and even in the bathroom. We also found someone else’s hair on a towel and discovered a cracked sink. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance issues that should never be overlooked. To top it all off, there was no breakfast available the next morning, which was frustrating and unexpected. It’s disappointing to see a brand like Holiday Inn slipping like this. This experience did not live up to the standards we’ve come to expect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements.

difficult to get to the building itself. Parking was tough the first night with the semi truck taking up most of the entrance. Not impressed with having to pay for breakfast.

Comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast. Poor location and hard to find. Had to turn in another company parking lot and drive around. Had no sign to Clarify where and how to get to it. Thank goodness for GPS but very confusing

Overall, the experience was fine. The room was clean. The bathroom seemed to be a little dated and small. There was a Keurig in the room. Disappointed that the only coffee available in the lobby was a carafe pump dispenser. Even though it was early in the morning when I left, the coffee was lukewarm and tasted kind of old. Seems like a lot of hotels are now going to the fresher always available coffee machines that make a fresh hot cup when you press the button. That would have been nice.
