If you find yourself in Bozeman the Lewis and Clark is a great place to use as a jumping off point for your visit. It is a wonderfully restored motel and very conveniently located near the downtown market area (downtown area is about 4 blocks away and very walkable). The staff were super friendly and helpful - we had arrived way before check-in time and since they had a room available they allowed us to go ahead and check-in early, which allowed us to really get a chance to enjoy our 1 day stay in Bozeman. The pool area was wonderfully maintained and there are a variety of additional amenities (whirlpool, sauna, dry sauna and small gym). Finally, the rooms were large, clean with very comfortable bedding. Overall excellent stay and a great find!

The front desk attendant was magnificent. Very friendly and accommodating. Eclectic and interesting lobby area While we didn’t have time to use the pool, hot tub, and eucalyptus steam room, it looked very inviting. Easy parking is included. Close to downtown shopping and dining. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if I’m back in the area, I would stay here again!

This property is everything the excellent reviews say and more! Everything about our visit made my family feel as though we were staying with old friends. The welcoming lobby and staff, and attention to detail (real coffee cups in the lobby, to-die-for banana bread at breakfast) make this motel a must. The pool and spa area top anywhere we’ve stayed (even New York City). We wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else in Bozeman!

Our stay at the Lewis and Clark Motel was great. We are repeat customers. The lobby is so beautifully decorated and the owner Lisa was so very nice. Down stairs was the best part with the most beautifully done spa. Heated pool, hot tub, steam room, dry sauna. Beautiful dressing room complete with showers was awesome also. The only thing I would say that could be better about this stay would be. I believe the beds need to be replaced. Other than that. It was a great stay.

Lisa was amazing. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. She was attentive to guests, kept everything well stocked and was always there to answer questions. The spa was unbelievable, including a large indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and eucalyptus steam room. It’s something you expect at a high end hotel, not a motel. The details were beautiful, it was extremely clean and relaxing…and it didn’t cost extra to visit! There is a coffee, tea, hot chocolate and apple cider bar out all day for guests to utilize and grab and go breakfast is put out every morning. The motel is conveniently located near the Main St. shops and close to the airport. We will recommend this motel to anyone staying in Bozeman and will absolutely stay there ourselves if we return to the area. Thank you, Lisa and your staff for a wonderful experience.

What a treat this motel is! We were in Bozeman for a soccer tournament and decided to try it- we’re so glad we did! The staff (and owners) are so friendly and hospitable. Treats in the evening and a fabulous breakfast spread in the morning are offered in the lobby. We loved the little library and board games available to borrow. The pool area is gorgeous and very zen. The entire property is very clean. My only complaint is that the beds weren’t very comfortable. Too soft, in my opinion.

Lisa, the owner, was just absolutely lovely. Aside from the rooms needing to be updated, everything was meticulously clean, and the spa downstairs was beautiful and updated. I would definitely stay here again.

There are many, many rules. The pool, spa, etc. are beautiful. However, there were many dirty towels and cups laying around. Also, my daughter (20 years old) stayed with me and wanted to invite 3-4 of her friends (between 20 -21 year olds) to come to swim in the empty pool in the middle of the day. We were told that this is "not that kind of hotel" and they should go to the hot springs. When we checked in we were told we could have guest for an extra $20 per person. We invited her friends and when they arrived they were denied entry. I am curious if it was due to the fact that the two men had long hair or many of them had tattoos? We received no explanation. It is a lovely hotel, but I not be will be going back or recommending.

The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The flowers stunning! The only issue I had was the pillows weee lumpy and the entire window of the space looked out upon the walkway so you were either in complete lack of natural light or exposed to walker bys. The issue with a motel, I assume. But everything else was Livy! Pool area.. you can buy drinks for your room.,,so close to downtown!

The owner/general manager checked me in. We are driving from MI to WA with our 2 dogs. After 10 hours /day of driving, we look forward to stretching our legs and relaxing. I use a pet friendly filter when booking. The owner informed me that they are not necessarily pet friendly but there would not be availability anywhere else (busy summer weekend with back to college) and she accommodated us. Owner honored our booking rate even though new room we got was higher priced. Received individual tour of amenities at check in. Art showing in the lobby. Amenities of all kinds. Luxury pool and sauna space. Opened up our room to start the air conditioning. Loved the personal touch and very grateful that we can rest here before the last leg home! Highly recommend!

The pool was great the view was great. But please do not stay here if you want staff that is professional and cordial. Lisa the manager came barging up stairs speaking to us in such a way she was spitting when she was talking and talked to us like we were beneath her. All you have to do is ask your guest to please smoke the cigarettes all the way on the corner of the street where you push the button to cross. And that smoking on the balcony and in the parking lot was not allowed. She yelled stating there’s signs all over the building… there’s not there’s signs that say no smoking inside and we were outside on the balcony and in the car in the parking lot and neither was acceptable. A simple “hey just wanted to let you know no smoking up here” nope not even close totally looking for a fight all I responded with is yes ma’am and put out the cigarette

I'm rating a 6 because of proximity to downtown and the steam room. However beds were hella soft and felt like I was being "watched" the whole time by staff. There are A LOT of rules and be prepared to get somewhat of a scolding if you do not obey. I was constantly asked how many people were in my room. Felt like I was staying in someone's personal home instead of a motel. Rooms were outdated but clean. The vibe of this hotel was strict.

A very quaint and comfortable motel. The staff goes above and beyond and so friendly. Comfortable beds and very clean property. A very nice continental breakfast every morning. Walkable to campus and downtown. We will be Back soon!

This property is everything the excellent reviews say and more! Everything about our visit made my family feel as though we were staying with old friends. The welcoming lobby and staff, and attention to detail (real coffee cups in the lobby, to-die-for banana bread at breakfast) make this motel a must. The pool and spa area top anywhere we’ve stayed (even New York City). We wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else in Bozeman!

There are many, many rules. The pool, spa, etc. are beautiful. However, there were many dirty towels and cups laying around. Also, my daughter (20 years old) stayed with me and wanted to invite 3-4 of her friends (between 20 -21 year olds) to come to swim in the empty pool in the middle of the day. We were told that this is "not that kind of hotel" and they should go to the hot springs. When we checked in we were told we could have guest for an extra $20 per person. We invited her friends and when they arrived they were denied entry. I am curious if it was due to the fact that the two men had long hair or many of them had tattoos? We received no explanation. It is a lovely hotel, but I not be will be going back or recommending.

I absolutely loved this motel! I feel very lucky to have found it online while searching for a place to stay in Bozeman the night before our flight back to NY. The lobby was SO unique and the breakfast healthy and delicious. The downstairs pool/spa area was beyond fabulous. The amenities offered were great and perfect for our last night of a long and action packed vacation. The people at the desk who greeted us (Lisa and Brian) were incredibly friendly and sweet and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable! I have already recommended this hotel to our friends who have a place in Emigrant (and rent it out during the Winter months); so they can pass the information along to their guests and renters who often ask where to stay in Bozeman. I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Montana!!

This motel is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting MSU due to proximity to the school. It is also within walking/driving distance of the downtown area and there is a nice co-op grocery store across the street. The pool/hot tub area feels like a fancy spa complete with a eucalyptus steam room that is available at all open pool times (6am - 10pm when we stayed there). This is an independently owned motel and the owner was very accommodating with our late night check-in (1am) and early check out (4:30am) due to flight schedules.We could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this motel if you are traveling in the area.

If you find yourself in Bozeman the Lewis and Clark is a great place to use as a jumping off point for your visit. It is a wonderfully restored motel and very conveniently located near the downtown market area (downtown area is about 4 blocks away and very walkable). The staff were super friendly and helpful - we had arrived way before check-in time and since they had a room available they allowed us to go ahead and check-in early, which allowed us to really get a chance to enjoy our 1 day stay in Bozeman. The pool area was wonderfully maintained and there are a variety of additional amenities (whirlpool, sauna, dry sauna and small gym). Finally, the rooms were large, clean with very comfortable bedding. Overall excellent stay and a great find!

The front desk attendant was magnificent. Very friendly and accommodating. Eclectic and interesting lobby area While we didn’t have time to use the pool, hot tub, and eucalyptus steam room, it looked very inviting. Easy parking is included. Close to downtown shopping and dining. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if I’m back in the area, I would stay here again!

Such a gorgeous, well loved Motel. So convenient to Main Street. Our one night stay didnt leave time to swim but i im ever coming back i will stay here longer. Everyone was so helpful and the complimentary breakfast was perfect.

What a treat this motel is! We were in Bozeman for a soccer tournament and decided to try it- we’re so glad we did! The staff (and owners) are so friendly and hospitable. Treats in the evening and a fabulous breakfast spread in the morning are offered in the lobby. We loved the little library and board games available to borrow. The pool area is gorgeous and very zen. The entire property is very clean. My only complaint is that the beds weren’t very comfortable. Too soft, in my opinion.

Wow! We loved this property! If you stay here and don’t take time to enjoy the pool and spa area, and visit the darling coffee area and gift/snack shop, you are missing out on what a unique property this is! I’d love to come back sometime. What a Bozeman gem.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Lewis & Clark! The hosts are amazing, and the lobby is in an incredible spot to relax and unwind. The amenities, snacks, breakfast, and coffee were all excellent. We were not able to swim on this trip but will definitely take advantage of that next time! Thank you for an excellent stay!

I loved this hotel . The hot tub and steam room were just what I needed every night after a two day drive and busy week. The little shop had a lovely choice of wine to take to room and the scones which were homemade by the owner are amazing ! All the added extra touches , the coffee cups and breakfast just made all the difference ! Thank you

Absolutely loved the spa amenities (60 foot swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, hot spa and gym facilities. The personal touches of sampling chocolates and treats, a different flavored water daily and the coffee and tea service. Just amazing. There was nothing to dislike!

Lisa was amazing. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. She was attentive to guests, kept everything well stocked and was always there to answer questions. The spa was unbelievable, including a large indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and eucalyptus steam room. It’s something you expect at a high end hotel, not a motel. The details were beautiful, it was extremely clean and relaxing…and it didn’t cost extra to visit! There is a coffee, tea, hot chocolate and apple cider bar out all day for guests to utilize and grab and go breakfast is put out every morning. The motel is conveniently located near the Main St. shops and close to the airport. We will recommend this motel to anyone staying in Bozeman and will absolutely stay there ourselves if we return to the area. Thank you, Lisa and your staff for a wonderful experience.

This place is amazing!! My family and I have stayed here a couple times now and absolutely love it!! Any time we are near Bozeman we will always fit in a stay here. The pool is amazing along with the hot tub and steam room. The owner does a great job of decorating the motel and providing history of how her father built it originally through the motel. My daughter especially enjoyed our stay and her amazing interactions with the staff/owner. Absolutely recommend Lewis and Clark Motel. We’ll definitely be staying again in the future.

We were very pleased with this motel for our first trip to Bozeman. Room was very clean and comfortable with all the modern luxuries you’d expect. Shower was great. Big TV. Walk to downtown was a breeze. What stands out is the customer service. Owner is super friendly and makes you feel at home. We will be back!
