Wonderful stay. The lovely gentleman who checked us in (I’m sorry I don’t know his name) took care of all of our needs from the moment we walked in. Very clean and safe. Convenient location. We did get a room on the top floor with no lift but our luggage was brought up for us while we were out which was fantastic.

I booked the hotel from the picture and other reviews, it seemed ok but when I arrived they walked me around the corner and put me in a tatty building in a basement room. Very unimpressed, it was tired, dark and stuffy.

It’s well located, easy access from Heathrow airport. Consider you might have to walk a block to the second building so if you bring a lot of luggage it might not be easy. We only interacted with Vivian at the front desk, she was really kind and took time to explain everything to us. Wifi works well, quiet street.

The property is walking distance from Paddington station, close proximity to good restaurants and pubs. The hotel has 2 properties and one has to walk with baggage / suitcases to the 2nd property from the reception. Moreover, there is no elevator so we had to carry all our suitcases to the 2nd floor room. Prior to / during booking this should be clearly mentioned in the website. The reception offered to carry the baggage to the room initially but did not take any initiative when we got the keys. If you have heavy bags and elderly persons, avoid this place.

This location does not have an elevator/lift. If you have issues going up and down stairs then do not stay here. Great location. Close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. This hotel does not allow visitors or guests so if you are in town visiting family or friends then probably not a good hotel for you to stay at.

As I knew before, my single room was very small and without an elevator. However, it doesn't get any smaller - I guess about 9 SQM. In the bathroom you had to squeeze through a 35 cm wide narrow passage between the sink and the door to the shower on one side and on the other side it was about 42 cm to the toilet. The room was located on the 4th (!) floor. While the first two floors have quite small steps, the last two floors have really tiny and narrow steps. When going down, you could actually only put your heel on - carrying your luggage. However, all this did not matter to me. I'm not overweight and the accommodation was quite cheap by London standards in this excellent location. The only annoying thing was that although the connection to the Wi-Fi router in the second house was problem-free, no internet connection was possible during my entire stay. - In the main house housing the reception, the internet connection was fully functional. This of course can happen, but the man at the reception apparently didn't do anything about it when I reported it. Moreover I placed one towel outside the room to be replaced after the first night - as instructed. It has been removed by the room service, but never has been replaced - not even on request. Summarized, a clean and perfectly located accommodation. I do recommend it. - If You don't have to rely on wireless Internet in your room and don't mind the stairs and a tiny room.

Good for one or two nights. Advise travelling light if you get one of the top floor rooms, the hotel description of “no lifts” means no lifts! There is no onsite gym but once you ascended to the 4th floor a few times, no gym membership will be required. Very close to Tibe and Elizabeth line.

Normally, I'd expect the room to be made up every day for the price. So it was a surprise not to receive this service. Pretty run down place with a very messy reception. The hotel seems to have a couldn't care less attitude.

The Front Desk guy who checked us in was very nice. I didn’t like having to walk more than a block on the nice but uneven street to get to our building schlepping our suitcases and certainly didn’t appreciate the basement bedroom which was way too small or probably poorly appointed (no, this is not my first time in Europe, not my first time in London either, so I know spaces are more compact than what we are used to in the US, but this was too small). I didn’t like not having daily housekeeping and when they came, they didn’t change the bed linens (my son had a bloody nose on our first night there and some of it felt on his bed - the linens were not changed throughout our stay). I left a post it on the bed and it was missed. Some of the bed covers had small holes in them and the bed frames had this frayed fabric - not a good look regardless how “budget” this hotel was. Had very Nice stay at this hotel. Very near to every thing we wish to do. Very nice welcoming staff. Informative and friendly. Very clean room. Not noisy either, even in Center. Recommend warmly this place.

This hotel has a wonderful location but for 2 nights our AC did not work. They gave us a fan to use and let me just say that room was full of dirt everywhere. My kids got super bad allergies of all the dirt that was on the chandelier, floors etc. the room was very small not room for the luggage.

The room was small but clean. Bathroom was fine and shower was good. The narrow double bed would have been tight for two but was great for one. The room even had a small fridge. No complaints for the price (£142 for two nights).

Could not fault it. Everything was as expected, room clean, full facilities and nice staff. With a very convenient walk from Paddington.

I’ll start with the positive - the bed was surprisingly comfortable with comfortable linen. That is the only positive with this hotel. The floor was dirty and sticky. I couldn’t walk around in my socks or bare feet. The spoons for the coffee were also sticky and looked like they hadn’t been washed in awhile. I was on the 3rd floor and to get there it’s like climbing to the attic. The steps were so narrow my feet didn’t even fit on them. I had to place my hands on the steps to climb up. Getting my luggage up and down was a nightmare. And the walls are paper thin. To check out you have to physically return the keys to the front desk.

I had no problems with noise from adjoining rooms, I heard only muffled sounds. Staff were very professional and polite, they up held my requests. This is a basic hotel, as highlighted on the website, it was however, clean, room facilities good, it included a fridge. It is central to tourist sites, lovely to stroll to Hyde park. I would stay again.

The hotel was a little dated in the public areas but my room was very clean and I booked a single room but it was a double bed all be it a small room. Great location and staff really helpful and friendly. I would stop here again

We ordered a room with backyard view and ac. The room didn’t have neither of them - not a view nor working ac. Moreover, throughout the whole stay, beds were not made and towels were not replaced. When we mentioned it to the reception, in our second night, he said that they have nothing to do with that. Very disappointing.

Property location was great, about a 5 mins walk to Paddington station. The room itself felt cramped for 5 people. The shower curtain was so short the entire bathroom floor would stay wet. It was less than ideal stay for us.

Receptionist was great, gave us lots of information about the area and was fun to speak with. The room itself was quite noisy - the walls were quite thin so lots of running water was heard, and when others would go into their rooms it sounded as if they were coming into ours. It was nice to have air conditioning. The washroom was small but good, and it was nice to have a communal washroom down the hall in case ours was occupied. The hotel is in an excellent area, minutes from Hyde Park and Paddington Station, with plenty of food options in the near vicinity. It also felt like a very safe neighborhood, and the street noises were not too bad at night. Overall, I would say this hotel is definitely worth the price for the area.

Might be good for a single or couple but essentially a bedroom with a bathroom built in. Pedestal sink right inside bathroom door needs to be sidestepped to get to shower or toilet and getting changed is a chore. Bending to spit in sink is barely possible with door closed.

Close to station and what you’d expect to pay for at this price point. Tiny rooms with even tinier bathrooms- but if you don’t mind that then it’s a good affordable option in London with transport options to centre. Lime bikes available nearby and 20min ride to Big Ben.

This is your typical Sussex Gardens hotel, meaning it’s a walk up through narrow stairs, small rooms and no frills. But my room was recently renovated, with a small fridge, air conditioner and a shower with good pressured hot water. I’d definitely stay here again would the price be right.

Excellent location. Steps away from Paddington station and Hyde Park. Many restaurants nearby. Our room was very small but was as expected. Located on the basement floor with just the bare necessities. Cleaning and towel service offered. Easy check in and checkout process with very kind and helpful staff! Would recommend, but next time we would choose to upgrade rooms.

Great location right outside of Paddington station. Vivian was the receptionist that checked us in. She was courteous, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this place.

Location is perfect to Lancaster or Paddington station. Numerous restaurants nearby. The rooms were super clean but a bit small - ok because all one does is sleep. Bathroom super clean and very small though. No lift (elevators) so we had to go up several flights of stairs - got my steps in. Walls very thin so one must be respectable which they were. Front desk personnel so friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, good hotel. We will be going back.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Even when I said i could carry my own bag to my room they insisted on carrying it for me.

Nice room, good location. Friendly check in staff. My stay was spoiled a bit by the pompous and unfriendly email they send to customers before the visit; the need for ID, and the requirement for pre-authorisation of the credit card in the case of damage. None of this normally happens when I stay in London.
