We loved staying here. Very clean and airy, right above the ocean. No ac, but plenty of fans available to help keep it cool. Lots of cooking dishes and utensils, the ocean equipment was an added bonus that we didn't expect! Lots of snorkel gear, chairs, boogie boards, etc. nice pool and hot tub. Vacasa agents were very friendly and responsive. About 3 miles from all the action, so was pretty quiet. I'd recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

We’ve been to this island several times but our first time at Kona Bali Kai. The building shows a little age but the views and location are unbeatable. The condo was well suited for us, top floor, we actually appreciated the lack of AC as we had screen doors and fans to keep it cool and enjoy the sound of the ocean for 10 days & nights. Easy parking, good BBQ access (although the BBQ’s could use a little love-clean and plenty of propane but one burned super slow and 2 were turbo blasters!) Good responsiveness from the prop managers VaCasa when the front screen door didn’t work on our arrival and was fixed the next morning. Some beach gear avail but kinda showed some wear and we had to buy beach chairs but hopefully the next visitors will enjoy them! Overall, a real winner that we will be pleased to return to in the future.

Great value, especially for Hawaii on the 4th floor above the beach and falling asleep to the Waves, looking out at the endless ocean horizon. We appreciate property management being on site although we did not need it.

Our stay was wonderful. The addition of beach equipment and a cooler was an added bonus for us traveling from the East Coast. There were some small issues (electric outlets weren't working in one of the bedrooms) but Vacasa agents were immediately responsive to try and fix it. The comfort and amenities of the property, the added beach equipment, and the very responsive service agents made such a far from home vacation worry free and therefore relaxing.

Can’t beat the location of this property/unit; right on the water, lovely large lanai to enjoy both early morning coffee (and surfers) and gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Loved being on the 4th floor and leaving our sliders open to hear the surf. The unit has had some renovations, the kitchen is upgraded and well stocked, the two bathrooms have new tile showers and vanity counters. Not a fan of carpet in rentals, if I was really being picky I would say that it was not nice in the bedroom. Didn’t use the pool but many in the complex did and seemed to enjoy. The only complaint I would have was the community bbq, only two of the burners worked so only used it the one time. Would I stay again, absolutely!

You cannot get a better view from a balcony. The open and sunset is right there! The condo was clean and well furnished. 5 min. drive to restaurants. Code to get in was hard to use.

Overall, we loved our stay here. The Lanai overlooking the ocean makes this place a true gem! The best sunsets, surfers, boats, turtles and fish in the tide pools below. There is no AC here, but all the fans and the screen doors open made it very comfortable. The sound of the ocean is literally all you can hear. This place is quiet and calm. We loved our stay. We had just a few minor issues and Vacasa was very responsive. I had heard negative things about Vacasa, but we had a great experience with them. The complimentary laundry pods and Hawaiian snacks were a nice touch. We will be back!

Although unit was a little dated, we enjoyed the spectacular views and location of this property. It is truly oceanfront!! We enjoyed amazing sunsets every night. The lanai was well equipped with table, chairs and lounge chairs (all padded). We also loved that there were beach umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and mats. There was also snorkel equipment which we did not use. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, but be aware that there is nothing else such as condiments etc. just buy what you need for your stay. There is a coffee maker with some coffee to start out with, but you will need to buy that also. We loved that there is a washer/dryer and dishwasher with complementary detergent pods. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Excellent view, though somewhat obstructed by the vertical blinds. Excellent lanai—huge and well maintained. I had maintenance come in to oil the screen door—v helpful. Roach and ants the morning I woke up and we didn’t cook or eat, or have food in the house yet. Roach in the bathroom, even though no wet towels on the floor and I washed the bath mat each day. There’s no ventilation in the bathroom, so that kind of makes sense. Most unit have a window in the back of the unit but not this one. There is a lot of wear and tear in the unit, made me somewhat uncomfortable—I have higher standards at this junction in my life. The bed was super comfortable. Supplied four beach towels which was great. Beach chairs, on their last leg, but I used one of them. No umbrella. Vacasa was responsive to my requests for help, though don’t rely on texts, call them or go to the front office. Would be nice if fans could spin at a higher speeds—maybe my error. I used the floor fans at night as well. Loved the waves, the view, the location! This unit is priced a little less than others—maybe it’s bc of its condition, I just thought it was bc of the size. Pick up salt and pepper, and cooking oil at the store when buying food. They supplied paper towels and dish soap, as expected. Glad we went, but I would choose a different unit next time. Last bonus—3rd floor unit gives a great view. Traveling with my teenage daughter, the space was large enough for us.

Ich war vom 27.11 bis 02.12 im Kona Bali Kai in Kailua-Kona. Die Unterkunft war die beste während meiner Hawaii Reise. Eine tolle Einrichtung, Küche mit Vollausstattung, Bad und WC in Top Zustand. Das Wohnzimmer sehr bequem wobei sich der wesentliche Teil des Aufenthaltes auf dem Balkon abgespielt hat. Der Pazifik zum Greifen nah. Sensationell. Die Mitarbeiterin im Office sehr hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine absolut empfehlenswerte Adresse. Ich werde jeden Fall diese traumhafte Location wieder besuchen und freue mich jetzt schon auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt im Kona Bali Kai. Sehr empfehlenswert.

We’ve been to Kona many times and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. Love the ocean side bedroom to listen to the waves. Condo was as pictured and very comfortable bed. We would stay there again

Good responsiveness from the prop managers VaCasa when the front screen door didn’t work on our arrival and was fixed the next morning. Some beach gear avail but kinda showed some wear and we had to buy beach chairs but hopefully the next visitors will enjoy them! Overall, a real winner that we will be pleased to return to in the future.

We’ve been to this island several times but our first time at Kona Bali Kai. The building shows a little age but the views and location are unbeatable. The condo was well suited for us, top floor, we actually appreciated the lack of AC as we had screen doors and fans to keep it cool and enjoy the sound of the ocean for 10 days & nights. Easy parking, good BBQ access (although the BBQ’s could use a little love-clean and plenty of propane but one burned super slow and 2 were turbo blasters!) We had a great time and would stay again BUT a couple things would make it nicer. The beds need updated. The queen bed is not comfortable and the unattached headboard bumps against the wall every time you turn over. The couch bed is horrible. Takes two people to open and shut the sliding doors. The view is spectacular.

Overall, we loved our stay here. The Lanai overlooking the ocean makes this place a true gem! The best sunsets, surfers, boats, turtles and fish in the tide pools below. There is no AC here, but all the fans and the screen doors open made it very comfortable. The sound of the ocean is literally all you can hear. This place is quiet and calm. We loved our stay. We had just a few minor issues and Vacasa was very responsive. I had heard negative things about Vacasa, but we had a great experience with them. The complimentary laundry pods and Hawaiian snacks were a nice touch. We will be back!

Although unit was a little dated, we enjoyed the spectacular views and location of this property. It is truly oceanfront!! We enjoyed amazing sunsets every night. The lanai was well equipped with table, chairs and lounge chairs (all padded). We also loved that there were beach umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and mats. There was also snorkel equipment which we did not use. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, but be aware that there is nothing else such as condiments etc. just buy what you need for your stay. There is a coffee maker with some coffee to start out with, but you will need to buy that also. We loved that there is a washer/dryer and dishwasher with complementary detergent pods. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Excellent view, though somewhat obstructed by the vertical blinds. Excellent lanai—huge and well maintained. I had maintenance come in to oil the screen door—v helpful. Roach and ants the morning I woke up and we didn’t cook or eat, or have food in the house yet. Roach in the bathroom, even though no wet towels on the floor and I washed the bath mat each day. There’s no ventilation in the bathroom, so that kind of makes sense. Most unit have a window in the back of the unit but not this one. There is a lot of wear and tear in the unit, made me somewhat uncomfortable—I have higher standards at this junction in my life. The bed was super comfortable. Supplied four beach towels which was great. Beach chairs, on their last leg, but I used one of them. No umbrella. Vacasa was responsive to my requests for help, though don’t rely on texts, call them or go to the front office. Would be nice if fans could spin at a higher speeds—maybe my error. I used the floor fans at night as well. Loved the waves, the view, the location! This unit is priced a little less than others—maybe it’s bc of its condition, I just thought it was bc of the size. Pick up salt and pepper, and cooking oil at the store when buying food. They supplied paper towels and dish soap, as expected. Glad we went, but I would choose a different unit next time. Last bonus—3rd floor unit gives a great view. Traveling with my teenage daughter, the space was large enough for us.

The views are spectacular, the room very comfortable. So many things to do and everyone was very friendly. I have enjoyed it so much I really don’t want it to end here, but we have another island to go to.

We loved staying here. Very clean and airy, right above the ocean. No ac, but plenty of fans available to help keep it cool. Lots of cooking dishes and utensils, the ocean equipment was an added bonus that we didn't expect! Lots of snorkel gear, chairs, boogie boards, etc. nice pool and hot tub. Vacasa agents were very friendly and responsive. About 3 miles from all the action, so was pretty quiet. I'd recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Great value, especially for Hawaii on the 4th floor above the beach and falling asleep to the Waves, looking out at the endless ocean horizon. We appreciate property management being on site although we did not need it.

Our stay was wonderful. The addition of beach equipment and a cooler was an added bonus for us traveling from the East Coast. There were some small issues (electric outlets weren't working in one of the bedrooms) but Vacasa agents were immediately responsive to try and fix it. The comfort and amenities of the property, the added beach equipment, and the very responsive service agents made such a far from home vacation worry free and therefore relaxing.

Absolutely loved this condo. I have stayed at the Kona Bali Kai before and this condo has the best view and best location. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the place was updated and had every amenity we needed. We couldn’t hear any of our neighbors so we could just relax and enjoy the view. Two mornings we watched turtles grazing on the algae from the lanai! The condo itself is in a good location, little south of the main downtown area so nice balance of traffic and people. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

This condo on the 4th floor had the most amazing view of the ocean enabling us to enjoy spectacular sunsets every evening. We had everything we needed, and the bed and couch were comfortable. We had an amazing time in Hawaii and the condo was one of the best parts! We saw turtles and an octopus in the little cove behind the condo, it was amazing. It’s a great location, near everything. Mike, the host, is incredibly responsive and kind. The price was great and was beyond worth it! We are already talking about coming back.

Mike, The condo was very nice. The dishwasher racks should be replaced. The kitchen drawers were difficult to open and close. But we were able to manage. The view was perfect. Thank you for renting to us. Joan

Mike, The condo was very nice. The dishwasher racks should be replaced. The kitchen drawers were difficult to open and close. But we were able to manage. The view was perfect. Thank you for renting to us. Joan

I stayed in Mike’s beautiful condo with my 16 and 19 year old grandsons and their mother. It was perfect. Being so close to the ocean and hearing the waves was a special treat. Each morning, when the tide was out, my 16 year old and his mother explored the tide pools right outside. We all saw at least one sea turtle. Mike was a terrific host, always responsive to questions and gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, excursions, shopping, etc. We cooked in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed eating on the lanai.Everything was Great! Mike’s condo was great. It was clean and had amazing views from the lanai. We enjoyed the sunsets every day. We never needed the AC since we left the glass doors open to the master bedroom and living room and ocean breeze kept everything cool. I would recommend it to anyone.
