Super 8 by Wyndham Lumberton NC

Overall, the room was fine for just a place to rest my head for the night on my way from Florida to Maryland. Bathroom seemed clean and the bedsheets appeared clean also, no signs if bedbugs in my room. It was a little creepy that there were random people just hanging out on the stairs and they wouldnt move out of the pathway so I could pass by them on my way to my room on the 2nd floor. They seemed to be in an alternate state of mind.... from something, and didnt seem to realize i was even passing by them, i was worried and kept an eye out for if they needed assistance. So mind your spaces when venturing outside after dark... Breakfast options were not good, the apple juice had black chunks in it, 0/10 overall for breakfast items. Front desk lady wasn't very personable, no verbal greeting or welcome at all, but she was nice enough once I told her I had been on the road all day and was exhausted, she sort of giggled and told me to get some rest and we parted ways. Fairly noisy area but i think more so from from the nearby highway traffic, I heard trucks all night. I got a smoking room, and was able to not have to go outside to smoke when I needed to, so that was a plus for me personally.

The drainage in the shower was slow. Other than that everything else was great.

Clean and quiet room, very affordable.

Not a bad facility, but inconvenienced by nearby road re-construction. The "continental breakfast" was the most meager one I ever ran across--small muffins, juice, coffee--that's all. Lumberton used to be an economical place to stop along I-95, but with a load of newer motels, it has become pricey all around.

It’s one of the places where you can’t judge a book by its cover. When we arrived we were prepared to immediately go pay for a different hotel, but we gave it a chance. The room was clean and functional. Comfortable even. There was no shortage of hot water. The hotel was overall better than our stay in a more expensive place the night prior.
