Expedia states that parking is included and free on-site. There is no on-site parking - it is only street parking within council limits. We were lucky to get parking within walking distance; but there was very little free parking available when we checked in.

Gorgeous views. Beautiful hotel. Fabulous breakfast included with room in restaurant below. Only thing that might make this difficult for some people, there aren't elevators.

The room was on the front with a view over the sea...The room and bathroom were on the big side compared to most Hotels we have stayed in. 2 Couch chairs in front of the big window was good for watching the water. The bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The only negative is Parking. Parts of the Hotel.com web site & the Glengower web site indicated that free parking is available. However, the Hotel does not have parking itself. It is only free parking IF THERE ARE PARKS AVAILABLE on the street. On the Weekend and especially in Summer, it would be doubtful parks would be available.... So keep this in mind. There is a Pay & Display car park about 5mins walk away.

Its a wonderful place, second stay and would certainly stay again, right on the front towards the end of the seafront. Breakfast is simple stunning, one of the best I have ever had, and super quick. Bar area is lovely as are the benches outside looking out over the sea. Was in Room 10 this time, much smaller than my previous room 17 (see photo), in fact I felt it a bit cramped and would certainly ask for a different larger room in the future when I return to Aber.

The location is perfect for ocean views, walking the promenade and walking to shops. Sun deck at pub a perfect place for dinner on a sunny afternoon! Quiet at night. Charming accommodation above an historical pub.

What a stunning hotel, right on the seafront with far reaching views. Excellent room, everything up to date and looks very new, could not fault. Downstairs bar area is just lovely epically the bar and open fire. Breakfast was super quick and high standard. We had Sunday lunch which was great value and lovely. But some odd service at lunch time with waitress questioning my 18 daughter about ID while having a drink with her meal in an aggressive manor was the only downside. Better custom training might be needed. Parking was a pain as had to move car several times over weekend.

Lovely well-positioned hotel on the sea front. Friendly staff and good choice of food for breakfast which was cooked to order. Had an evening meal too which was also very good. Downside is there is no lift so climbing up to the second floor was an effort (we are in our 70's) but we did know this before we arrived so can't complain.

The staff were happy and friendly. Service was excellent. Decor immaculate with a warm cosy atmosphere. Food for dinner was cooked to order and very good quality. Overall excellent value for money.

I had a lovely stay at The Glengower. It is situated right by the beach and the views are stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was amazing, the rest was adequate but minimal. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. I had an evening meal which I couldn’t fault. Will definitely stay again.

Staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Pleasant and clean accommodation. Great location. The cooked breakfast was delicious. The price to stay there was great, especially in comparison to other hotels - superb value. Will certainly be using the glengower the next time I’m visiting Aberystwyth.

The Glengower was nearly perfect in every way. I say “nearly” because total perfection is elusive. The property absolutely gleams. The decor is spot on—antique photos and maps abound. The staff is gracious and professional: Daniel and Liv, who we saw the most often, are standouts.

Rooms need a little TLC. Our Bathroom smelt awful and the decor needed a good spruce. Staff generally friendly except for the restaurant staff who needed a lesson in friendliness.

I had a really lovely stay, my room was small but tastefully decorated. There were a few marks on the wall that could do with touching up. The tea tray was good quality as was the breakfast. The best thing about this hotel it the staff who were all fabulous. Be careful of the parking as its only 4 hours on the front so best park at the back if possible.

We had an amazing overnight stay at the Glengower. The host was very kind after a very long trip and took time explain everything. The room was tidy and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the server couldn't be more helpful. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return. The view from our room window was amazing.

We were so impressed with the staff and their attitude to their work. They were friendly, happy, polite and attentive. The room and en suite were very clean, the shower was great. We'd definitely stay there again and would recommend it highly. The only fly in the ointment was our mattress. The springs were uncomfortable, not enough to stop me sleeping but made a noise when we turned over, or got in and out.

We enjoyed our stay and staff were excellent. Arriving on a Saturday, however, meant parking wasn't as easy as it should have been as it is along the seafront and very busy. Internal doors are noisy also which meant a less than restful night after a 7 hour drive. Breakfasts were good with vegetarian options and we had a nice dinner there on Sunday. Easy walking to the shops in town and other dining options. We would stay again but request a room in a quieter part of the building.

The Glengower is excellently situated, right on the promenade/beach. It offered a full hot breakfast and the pub itself offers a large and sophisticated menu. Everything we tried over the 3 days we were there was excellent. The parking may be a bit if a problem as the promenade road is very narrow but we found a good spot in the end. The room we had was comfortable tho a little tight.. the staff and service was excellent. We unfortunately did not have a sea view, but I will definitely suggest getting one as the view is excellent.

This Hotel was a great find!! Check in was simple and everything explained well,hotel itself was very clean with lovely decor.Our room 22 was on the front overlooking the sea very spacious very clean and loved the table and chairs in the bay window to relax and look out!!.We ate at the hotel in the evening and again it turned out to be another excellent experience lovely food lovely staff! Had breakfast in the morning and again an excellent breakfast would highly recommend the Glengower you won’t be disappointed.A quick mention about parking there is free parking out front and back on the roads if you can find a space out the back there is no time limit but on the front it’s free for 4 hours if I remember correctly and that’s up until 6pm!! So if you catch it right you can park at 2 pm and your fine right through until the morning

Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! And both breakfast and dinner were very tasty.

The food for dinner and breakfast were great. Parking behind the hotel was easy. The area around the hotel is starting to improve with not a lot of dining options. We had high tide and strong winds so the waves were crashing during the evening which was exciting. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good.

Room 11 the single bed was narrow and very uncomfortable. For this reason only I would not stay again, as it was not a good night's sleep. All other facilities were good though.

This Hotel was a great find!! We were “welcomed” by a waitress whose attitude ranged somewhere between laziness and open disdain. When we asked if we could have dinner, she said she could ask if there was a table available, and in the meantime we could sit at one of the bar tables. We politely agreed. What followed was over thirty minutes of watching her wander aimlessly, gossip with colleagues, and do anything but her job. Not once did she come over to give us an update. The only acknowledgment we got were occasional smug, condescending smiles — as if we were some sort of nuisance for daring to be there. When I finally asked if there were no tables, she casually admitted she hadn’t even bothered to check. Only then, after wasting half an hour of our evening, did she suggest she could “go and ask now.” The hotel side was no better: faulty lamps, only one towel, mattresses caving in so badly you roll into the middle, and the constant roar of a kitchen ventilation unit right below our room, ensuring we couldn’t sleep before late at night or after dawn. This place is a masterclass in how to fail at hospitality.

What a stunning hotel, right on the seafront with far reaching views. Excellent room, everything up to date and looks very new, could not fault. Downstairs bar area is just lovely epically the bar and open fire. Breakfast was super quick and high standard. We had Sunday lunch which was great value and lovely. But some odd service at lunch time with waitress questioning my 18 daughter about ID while having a drink with her meal in an aggressive manor was the only downside. Better custom training might be needed. Parking was a pain as had to move car several times over weekend.

We enjoyed our stay and staff were excellent. Arriving on a Saturday, however, meant parking wasn't as easy as it should have been as it is along the seafront and very busy. Internal doors are noisy also which meant a less than restful night after a 7 hour drive. Breakfasts were good with vegetarian options and we had a nice dinner there on Sunday. Easy walking to the shops in town and other dining options. We would stay again but request a room in a quieter part of the building.

The Glengower is excellently situated, right on the promenade/beach. It offered a full hot breakfast and the pub itself offers a large and sophisticated menu. Everything we tried over the 3 days we were there was excellent. The parking may be a bit if a problem as the promenade road is very narrow but we found a good spot in the end. The room we had was comfortable tho a little tight.. the staff and service was excellent. We unfortunately did not have a sea view, but I will definitely suggest getting one as the view is excellent.

Beautiful place. Rooms were like new and very well put. Had a view of the ocean which made it special. Food was very good. We liked this place a lot. Had to park on the street.

The location is perfect for ocean views, walking the promenade and walking to shops. Sun deck at pub a perfect place for dinner on a sunny afternoon! Quiet at night. Charming accommodation above an historical pub.

Lovely hotel in a perfect spot on the seafront. Beautifully decorated and clean with a warm homely feel and a friendly welcome. Food was lovely too. Would definitely stay again.

Great location. We had a sea view room which had a fantastic window for watching the sea roll in. Very clean and comfortable room. Lack of parking was an issue. Pay & display parking is necessary in most cases.

The staff were happy and friendly. Service was excellent. Decor immaculate with a warm cosy atmosphere. Food for dinner was cooked to order and very good quality. Overall excellent value for money.

I had a lovely stay at The Glengower. It is situated right by the beach and the views are stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was amazing, the rest was adequate but minimal. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. I had an evening meal which I couldn’t fault. Will definitely stay again.

This Hotel was a great find!! Check in was simple and everything explained well,hotel itself was very clean with lovely decor.Our room 22 was on the front overlooking the sea very spacious very clean and loved the table and chairs in the bay window to relax and look out!!.We ate at the hotel in the evening and again it turned out to be another excellent experience lovely food lovely staff! Had breakfast in the morning and again an excellent breakfast would highly recommend the Glengower you won’t be disappointed.A quick mention about parking there is free parking out front and back on the roads if you can find a space out the back there is no time limit but on the front it’s free for 4 hours if I remember correctly and that’s up until 6pm!! So if you catch it right you can park at 2 pm and your fine right through until the morning

Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! And both breakfast and dinner were very tasty.

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel and room. Breakfast could be improved - as a vegan there was plant milk when asked but with a focus very much on a cooked breakfast, the continental breakfast options could have been improved - cereals were boxed and limited pastries. Plant based yogurt would also be a welcome addition.

The hotel is a great place to stay - very well located on the promenade, close to Constitution Hill and not too far from the centre of town. The beach is directly opposite, perfect for taking an early morning swim as I did! (Just make sure the sea isn’t too rough). The hotel itself is a lovely period property - rooms are a generous size with a very nice en suite, large comfortable bed and plenty of furniture for clothes storage. My only slight gripe was that the toiletries could have been replaced a bit more frequently and also more milk provided for tea and coffee when it ran out. Despite being above a pub it was also incredibly quiet in the room, equalling a good night’s sleep (having said that, my room wasn’t seafront-facing so possibly that might mean a bit more noise - my impression is that Aberystwyth gets very quiet around 11pm onwards though). Breakfast was of a good quality with a range of decent cooked options that weren’t too much of the gut busting variety, including vegetarian and vegan alternatives. I also had an evening meal whilst there, a breaded pollock dish which was delicious followed by sponge pudding and custard - yummy! Lastly the staff were always friendly and helpful, giving info on local things when and where needed. Definitely recommended and if staying in Aber again I’d likely look up the Glen.

Staff were marvellous and really made our stay here. Everyone was friendly, chatty and helpful. We ate there twice in the evenings and the food was good and reasonable value, as was the breakfast. The bar had a nice vibe and was fun to sit in; you can sit out and admire the sea view at the front. Parking was a little problematic, and in high season must be highly challenging. The hotel is a listed building on the seafront and apparently this means that it can not be fitted with a lift, so you need to be fit to access the third floor rooms. Staff will help with cases though. Room was clean and met our needs, Generally we enjoyed staying there, and would come again. Good if you are reasonably fit.
